warm return once again… one of the most consistent and influential agencies to have operated in the 2000s, the collective continue to develop their original agency, events and record label, and things are heating up very nicely. following soul-arresting releases from elliot lion and face + heel comes this four-track odyssey from belfast’s lunar orbit rendezvous aka lor. ready for take-off?
having taken its natural course over the past 18 months peckhams yam records are making the move from retail to production. continuing our celebration of local talent, both unsung and established, we aim to bring all styles of music together under the yam recordings wing. theyve been a permanent and ever-hilarious part of the shop since day one so it only seemed right that our first release should feature chaos in the cbd. distilling their sound over the past few years, beans and louis make the highest quality house music, which is perfectly demonstrated on this two-track ep. global erosion sees long-time collaborator isaac aesili contribute horn hooks and live percussion to this truly deep and emotional journey. on the flip, background explorer turns up the heat with an 8-minute heads-down transcendental percussion and drum workout, the surging chords and rainforest calls forcing the head to follow the feet.
form and function presents a compilation of 4 transcendent cuts with a different approach in mind. it marks the start of a new chapter where the label will focus on two styles. the form series will have a diverse sound palette where the weird and beautiful come together. the function series on the other hand have a focus on dancefloor orientated tracks. we kick off with this new trajectory with form001.
sistrum proudly welcomes house music legend alton miller to the fold for release number thirty three. for all the little things, alton lays it down in fine form and enlists the incomparable vocal talents of ree to bring the soulful vibrations as only he can. to call this one an instant classic is understatement in the wise words of robert nesta marley, who feels it, knows it.

k15 returns to wotnot after more killer releases on eglo & wild oats, a collaboration with henry wu, and remixes for nubya garcia, colm k (on tiffs joints) and wotnot s own william florelle, not to mention the beautiful record earlier this year under his culross close alias. we re all creative but somehow, being creative has become a class within itself, often defined and measured by the whims of popular culture and monetary gain, which leads us to devalue what we create if we are not successful by those metrics. we are all creative, we all use our experience, talent and feeling to shape and we should be glad we create anything. this ep holds onto this mantra tightly throughout, reflecting both the meditative and joyful effects of unimpeded creativity. the title track begins with k15s signature introspection, deep washes of jazz-inflected textures before exploding into a rapturous syncopated synth groove. b1 communion explores the spiritual angle with a devotional piano cadence over bouncing drum pattern, with interlocking bass and synth rhythms adding to the hypnotic mood. wrapping up the release is a warm, deep-soak hip hop instrumental titled you re alive (theres still time), a message to self but also a beacon of hope to those who have maybe not created as much as they would have liked, or have strayed from the path the intended to take.
for its seventh offering, sol power sound taps into the pulse of the french antilles for tambours de martinique, a blistering ep of original and remixed versions of rare, drum-centric dance floor workouts. licensed directly from the legendary martiniquan label hibiscus records, the ep features cuts by eugène mona and max ransay, two of martinique s most storied musicians. with reworks by spanish dj and producer kiko navarro and the sol power all-stars, this one will be in the record bags of discerning djs all summer long.
berlin-based american producer p.leone returns to spencer parker s work them records with arguably his biggest offering to date, featuring two standout cuts entitled the el dorado ep . upon being discovered by spencer parker, p.leone dropped his first two releases on work them records in 2016. since then he has continued to rise, launching e-missions alongside caiazzo last year before kickstarting 2018 with a four-track techno release on rekids. he now returns to parker s renowned imprint with arguably his biggest offering to date. with its looping vocals and robust drums, el dorado (bump yo ass off mix) is a monster of a track designed to throw dancefloors into absolute revelry. on the flip, dancing to get you back features crystalline synths, purring bass and a medley of breakbeat percussion. dj support: ben sims i like them amen cut, thx! laurent garnier - good house/brea

"prestige music continues steadfast in 2018 with a fresh 12” from the likes of bram schrooyen, aka phase. contributing remarkably to the catalog with “anything for you”, featuring astrid destuyver; a beautifully warm piece rolling over classic key strokes, and coupled with sultry vocal overtones. in stark contrast, “diffusor” boasts relentless beats and breaks, pounding bass rhythms, and delivers shock to sound systems. a very special release for all the vinyl heads, and will find itself available worldwide by summer ’18."
all that was fire and only ashes were left.
no matter how many times we burn, as the scum, we’ll grow again.
“proudly introducing the last maxi-single i’ll be releasing this year. (no don’t worry, oaks is fully scheduled so you will hear from us). for the first time, i’m releasing a 4-tracker with highly emotive p(f)unktional music, for the warehouse or the club. these songs are written in a certain mood and i suppose that they accomplish their purpose. the willing to get lost, avoid reality and at least for some time forget this mad world that surrounds us. please do not stop the rave.”
following his celebrated fusion (broadcast mix) 12inch, will dimaggio returns to future times with debut lp, at ease. recorded 2016-17 at the now-illustrious fairview ave spot alongside roommates dj python, anthony naples, and the exotic dance crew, at ease is equal parts dizzy street beats and live keyboard action.
this ridiculously soulful summer-house ep is the first installment by peter on big bait since 2015. we baked the essence of 3 years of studio work on 12″, vinyl. amongst two brilliant solo tracks, peter brought in two coops with some exclitingly interesting producers: -arpeggio funk- is the first co-production by the columbian shooting star felipe gordon with big bait label boss peter clamat. the guys met up on soundcloud and immediately started working out some tunes together. -she hates getting photos- and -tanzflächengebet- are solo productions by mr. clamat. outstanding, colorful, perfect work as usual. last but not least track no. four is the uplifting, 90 s flavored remix of an unpublished clamat-gem by ugly drums and chesney. the two guys are old-stagers of the german house culture and well known for their releases on kalakutta soul, ava, quintessentials etc.
“lost tracks vol. 2” contains 4 previously unreleased demos recorded between 1997 and 1999. the duo fused 80’s european new wave/italo disco with 90’s detroit electro acts like le car and dopplereffekt. by utilizing verse-chorus structures, they playfully shook up the loop based hard techno and electro that was popular at the time. their studio set up at the time was a korg ms-20, roland sh-101, tr-606, tr-808, siel dk80, and boss dr-660 drum machine. the songs are direct, spontaneous, seemingly improvised in places. miss kittin sings about falling in love in the new millennium, snuff movies and controlling the unknown trip to death, all in her cheekily derisive french accent. all songs have been transferred from the original dat tapes by the band and remastered for vinyl by george horn at fantasy studios. the vinyl comes housed in a glossy jacket featuring a black and white photo of the duo taken in 1996. each lp includes a postcard with liner notes from miss kittin and the hacker designed by eloise leigh. as miss kittin says of these demos, “we were naive, innocent, adventurous and we didn’t expect anything in return”
the hungarian shapeshifter is back after five years with a new ep on all inn black. looking back at coldfish’s discography, “the unfaithfuls” seems like another chapter of the story, after eps such as “the invisibles” and his album “the orphans”.
sagmen third release featured greg pidcock and andre salmon who combine to deliver ‘you got it’ ep with four dark house cuts plus two digital only mixes. uk producer greg pidcock’s nomadic tendencies have fostered a strong connection with his music which has seen releases on esteemed labels like hot creations, get physical, culprit, saved, not to mention founding his montreal-based imprint flora. meanwhile, andre salmon’s extensive knowledge of music production has earnt him releases on the likes of repopulate mars, leftroom, hottrax, suara, before founding sagmen alongside aert prog. ‘you got it’ delivers a heavyweight kick and sharp percussive rhythms that lay the foundation for haunting arpeggios and an intoxicating vocal hook before ‘loco’ provides grooved drum patterns, a powerful bass melody and an array of intriguing synthesiser transitions, with epic vocals effects . “tfss’ offers up warped vocal samples and mesmerising motifs on top of a pulsating low-end whilst “esto es montanita’ hits hard with crunching drum sounds, enticing filter sweeps and hypnotic samples. two digital only ‘black mixes’ conclude the package, with the first reinterpretation of ‘loco’ setting an ominous tone until the alternative version of ‘tfss’ follows with a rumbling bass, crisp percussion and dubbed out vocal licks.
erotek is back with his first ep since 2004 with a hybrid ghetto electro ep. “double time”, co produced with the anxious beat director, and “this i know” have been produced in recent times whereas the other 2 tracks “4mo” and “twisted truths” are archival projects from the end of the 90s. varying from 4/4 beats to broken patterns and electroid rhythms, this ep presents different facets of one of the classic detroit ghettotek producers.
colin potter is a sound engineer and musician currently based in london. he has worked within the fields of electronic and experimental music for over 35 years, collaborating with the likes of current 93, the hafler trio, organum, andrew chalk, and most notably as a key part of nurse with wound alongside steven stapleton. he started the esteemed icr (integrated circuit recordings) label in 1981 releasing a clutch of wonderful home recordings of his own, over half a dozen small run cassette only releases. ‘the where house?’ was recorded in 1981 at ic studio, a converted wash house in sutton on the forest in north yorkshire. the album was self-released on cassette that same year via icr. this expanded double lp edition features all 13 tracks from the original tape on vinyl for the first time plus 4 bonus tracks. ‘the where house?’ is a prime example of early uk post-punk/industrial electronic music. “combining dub, electro, and krautrock rhythms with psychedelic, kosmische noise in multiple mutations ranging from almost pop-wise songcraft to horizon-scanning motorik flights,” says boomkat. most of the damage was done by colin using guitars, synths, sequencers, drum machines, percussion, and modified toy keyboards with fairly primitive 4-track recording equipment. he was assisted on some of the tracks by stephan jadd-parry (guitar, percussions), jon caffery (guitar, bass, e-bow, percussion) and nick jackson (synth). all songs have been remastered for vinyl by george horn at fantasy studios in berkeley. the record is sleeved in a replica of the original cassette artwork by jonathan coleclough. every copy includes a double sided postcard insert with notes from colin.
the mar-keys is the first house band from the label stax records. during the 60’s they recorded many songs and with their first single “last night” they made it to the top of the us charts. years after this massive success they released the album “the great memphis sound”, with the support of artists like isaac hayes and booker t. jones. guitarist steve cropper shows his skills in the jazz and soul sound from the music on the album. the instrumental tracks including song classics like “the girl from ipanema”, “in the mood” and “philly dog”.
the group started in the late 50’s as the royal spades and became known as the band where a lot of musical talents marked their first step in the industry. as a backing band they worked together with artists like otis redding, wilson pickett and carla thomas.
pressing on 180 gram audiophile vinyl.

fina records welcome jad & the for a new ep that shows off the australian-born, berlin-based producer’s majestically melodic house sound. a special dub from 6th borough project makes this another essential release. before now jad & the has served up tracks of the year (‘strings that never win’ - mixmag 2017), fronted four piece live act mitzi—who played alongside the likes of nile rodgers—and also produced as jad & the ladyboy, all the while picking up fans like moxie and bradley zero. sonar kollektiv and toy tonics have put out his charming sounds before and this new one is another joyous offering. the feel good ‘2 getha (4 eva mix)’ kicks things of with old school drum breaks and loved-up vocals. big smeared pads, a new age melody and classic bassline line finish it off and carry you away to summery house heaven. ‘twist club’ then drops into lush deep house with a long legged bassline tumbling beneath organic drums. it’s a dreamy and romantic cut before ‘disco hold down’ has live sounding jazz drums, choppy vocals and rough edges that take you to the heart of a vibe-fulled basement party. delusions of grandeur’s 6th borough project serve up a dub that’s more stripped back and built on a big rubber bassline. jacking drums and a more rapturous vocal make it a truly steamy jam.
the chicago vinyl series continues to act as a vessel for ever more essential club tackle from the one and only tyree cooper. on this occasion he s collaborating with celebrated vocalist isis and the legendary adonis for this absolutely storming tribute to the heritage of chicago house music. the original passin thru the house is a consummate jack track, shouting out all the right names and letting the 707 fills rip through the groove. tyree then offers up three alternate mixes of the track, from the bugging vocal mix to the uplifting melodious form of the vocal soul remix. there s an instrumental version tacked on if you need it, but its all about isis killer vocal on this 12inch

back in august 2017, jerome derradji received a call by one of chicagos most renowned record dealer. it went like this: hey jerome, ive got all these reel to reel tapes of chicago house stuff. you want to take a look? less than 24 hours later, more than 160 reels were purchased and safely hauled back to the still music office and jerome got to work. in fact, these reels - that were lost for more than 20 years - contain some incredible stuff that well be releasing in the years to come but right now it’s time to jack!
brother and sister eric and arrontette mcclinton had been recording for many years. around 1976 they did a 45 release together on honey records called -where you are- under the their christian names, although eric was spelled eryke! the single didn’t have much success but both brother and sister still went on to be amazing backing singers working for legendary producers mike theodore and dennis coffey. whilst they were under the watchful eye of the production team they recorded some material again and a duo for theo/coff in a bid to get them another record deal and show their capabilities. these songs never got releases. eric became and prolific song writer and also joined the group high fashion. we are super pleased to finally release the shelved songs from 1978. this in one of two releases by the duo.

THE NIGHT LAND REMIXES (SUPERPITCHER, SAMO DJ & L.B. DUB CORP REMIXES)
12 Inch 05.06.18
john talabot and axel boman teamed up in 2017 for their r&s debut the night land where they got to flex their creative muscles over eight tracks of rich synth jams. the two electronic artists have been independently successful in their respective careers, but as pitchfork expressed in their glowing review their collective output doesn’t sound much like eithers work, it doesnt even necessarily reflect the thin, convex sliver where their interests overlap. instead, theyve hit upon something new. this new sound also proved to be a hit with the likes of mojo, phonica, xlr8r, self titled and dj mag all including it their annual best of lists. the artists have now handpicked four artists to create their own vision of the talaboman sound. superpitcher, samo dj and luke slater under his l.b. dub corp alias have all seriously delivered the goods.
radio slave’s colossal ‘the revenge’ track now gets expert remix treatment from klasse wrecks label head luca lozano. luca has also released on the likes of optimo, sex tags ufo and unknown to the unknown and brings a raw, acid tinged sound to his beats. as a performer lozano’s versatile dj sets span between raw house, cosmic disco and dynamic breakbeat selections, which is why he’s become a regular at key clubs across europe and tasteful festivals like houghton. his ‘how bow dis’ remix’ is solid and features wild old school flavours in its huge drum breaks, a monstrous bassline and dark filtered vocals. it bangs for seven superbly heavy minutes with plenty of twists and turns along the way, and will transform any club or warehouse into a writhing, sweaty mass in seconds. on the flip, his ‘how bow dah’’ version is based around elastic drums and rumbling bass while a loose synth line darts about up top. some distant synths bring a sense of serenity to the madness and so despite the physical impact of this one, it also has real emotion to it.
our souls are in the hands of the translator presents his arcola debut, sɪ,,,,,ŋ,,,,,krɪ,,,,,tɪ,,,,,zə,,,,,m. a two tracker of chi-town acid that offers a mouthful of mathematics from jamal moss, the legendary producer and dj who has worked with everyone from adonis to wolf eyes.
ltd 2018 repress - the passage was one of the first releases released on apollo in 1992 and the three tracks stand as some of juan atkins finest and most under rated music. re-mastered by matt colton.
new to the all day i dream team is newman. his name literal. this new york based artist is at the beginning of what we believe will be a long career both through his emotive productions and compelling beautiful dj sets. the release itself sits at the more dance floor oriented end of the label. both breath of the souls and the long journey have been truly tried and tested at this point. solid grooves, wailing middle eastern emotive lady voices and strings. for our events, these are the peak time anthems. the ep also features when the leaves fall, closing out the release in blissful style, and a warm welcome for newman to our all day i dream family.
repress black vinyl! 5 year anniversary of william devaughn s smooth soul classic remastered and reissued for 2018. diamond in the back / sunroof top / digging the scene with the gangster lean. does it get any smoother than that? stick this record on and get lost in that effortless bassline, sensual guitar licks, coupled with devaughn s silky vocals and you ll be right there kicking back in the cadillac. oft sampled by the likes of nwa and de la soul and covered multiple times, most notably on massive attacks debut album. on the b side you re treated to blood is thicker than water, devaughn s first single giving a taste of the masterfully stylish soul he was to carry throughout his career. repress on black vinyl 140g
bugs is aus label owner will sauls first solo ep in over 4 years and follows his inaugural release on new aus compilation series, inside out. heres will on the a side. bugs is inspired as much by dancing at plastic people/co-op to the bugz in the attic as is it is by carl craigs innerzone orchestra track bugs in the bass bin. hopefully i bring my own twist to these key influences. the map room tumbles with big, swinging drums as a fervid sense of tension burns throughout before matt karmill takes bugs off on a linear dubbed out excursion to complete the package.
originally released in ‘06/’07 as the appetizer to only built 4 cuban linx ii, the vatican mixtape series consists of a vast collection of unreleased tracks, wu & solo classics (“shame on a ni**a”, “diesel”, “ghetto boy”, & “yae-yo”), as well as some of rae’s best guest work through the years (“the heist”, “brown paper bag”, & “bump bump”). volume 2 includes guest spots from busta rhymes, nas, az, & wu-tang brethren rza, gza, & ghostface killah. this 2xlp is the first time this volume and series gets pressed to wax, and features completely new artwork for a fresh look
now, these tracks do one thing: they are meant for the club and in the club they should stay. a somewhat sweaty enviroment, like 150 people and a good analog soundsystem... something along those lines. the aim is at a real track-y, immediate vibe – without diving too deep to the autistic side of disco edits. just trying to master the ancient art of elevating a piece of music by cutting and pasting.
o celebrate two decades of skylax records and a long musical partnership, dj sprinkles and hardrock striker team up as s.h.e. (skylax house explosion) to present the first of three exclusive vinyl releases accompanying the mix cd for the 20 years compilation. all three eps feature previously unreleased music personally curated by dj sprinkles and hardrock striker. under the garage presents all new music from move d, jason grove & merwyn sanders, an expresso and signal st as a referential homage to the 80s club of new york city, a space that commercially paved the way for the evolution of dance music (music of the “house”) as well as spaces around which queer communities could feel safe - all to the sounds of djs like larry levan and frankie knuckles. jason grove is a long-time collaborator with skylax, along with signal st who has released on its sub label - wax classic - as garage shelter, but for move d, it is his first outing on the imprint. move d is one of the few veteran deep house djs still touring consistently having started out in the early nineties.
