as the end of our event series in london is approaching, we present a special release by binh to celebrate the last 7 years of parties in the capital. after many years of friendship and frequent guest appearances of the berlin-based producer at undersound, we present this special edition 2 tracker on 10- marbled vinyl.
for the tenth instalment of undersound recordings we present a split ep from dominic dammer, under his mnvr and omni causa aliases. dominic runs mindcolormusic, a collective active from 2010 releasing idm and electro tinged music in tape and vinyl format and has been djing since the mid 90’s. the a side from mnvr presents a deeper approach with two emotional techno tracks whereas b side from omni causa takes a moodier turn with broken electro jams.
we are glad to introduce this release by it. ivan iusco, the artist behind the it moniker, has been running minus habens records since 1992. its disturbance sublabel has been responsible for releasing forward thinking techno and experimental releases from a range of well known artist such as marco repetto, aphex twin, speedy j and atom heart among others. here we present three tracks that have previously been released on his era vulgaris cd album. the ep ranges from techno to more abstract broken beats on the flip side, displaying the versatility of it as a producer and encompassing the sound of the first years of disturbance.
erotek is back with his first ep since 2004 with a hybrid ghetto electro ep. “double time”, co produced with the anxious beat director, and “this i know” have been produced in recent times whereas the other 2 tracks “4mo” and “twisted truths” are archival projects from the end of the 90s. varying from 4/4 beats to broken patterns and electroid rhythms, this ep presents different facets of one of the classic detroit ghettotek producers.
vault heist vol.1 contains two wicked acid infused techno tracks from the archives of vmax records. 1094t3 & 1194295t3 are early works constructed back in 1994 by heath brunner a.k.a silicon, h&s. the two-works contained on this release are layered with a steady pace of rhythms, acid synth lines, that blend together in ordered chaos not uncommon with brunner’s early works. if you are looking for some underground acid tech, this is the pure stuff so don’t miss out!
undersound recordings is proud to welcome to their roaster jasper de jong aka binaural, presenting his album and the first lp on this uk label. 4 punchy electro and 4 mellow techno tracks. while the 2 records are stylistically different from each other, they are clearly connected by an underlying theme that showcases some different shades of this very talented artist.
this ep represents a further manifestation of sound-expression over sound-design. each track has it¡¯s own characteristics. it¡¯s a symbiotic ep which combines vintage analogue gear with live digital effects, everything is done in a moment - manipulating things that you can¡¯t calculate but feel. this live combination is really important that the listener will subconsciously get a psychedelic and emotional bound to electronic music - resembling genres like krautrock. do what you want, it¡¯s the only law - it¡¯s a sentence very dear to the whole les points collective and with this boundery it¡¯s no surprise that audino & barbir have collaboration featured. dilettantes on the rise!
undersound recordings is back with a new electro infused ep called “backyard alchemy”, this time courtesy of the trio eoism. the a side showcases two classic fast tempo electro dancefloor killers, “xontics” and “transmutation scheme”, plus a special bonus idm track on a3, “volatile conjunction”. the b side is dedicated to dreamy and melodic synth driven tracks like “cold fire equation” and “anima dissolution”.
undersound recordings is back with its second release, this time with an ep from berlin based producer etienne. all tracks are characterized by an analogue, simplistic, yet intriguing touch of the artist. dez is a straight 4/4 hypnotic groove, with an articulated bass line taking centre stage shortly after the beginning of the track. dez remix is a seminal track composed by tc80, warm sounds from the start, experimental yet dynamic percussions, perfectly complementing the original track r3mote is the most uplifting track of the release, floor killer, characterised by broken beats and a playful ever evolving melody sensed is deep, electro-infused, introspective. the track is a crescendo of trippy sounds, a vortex marked by retro elements, hypnotic but ever engaging.
undersound is a london based collective born in 2011 from a shared passion for quality electronic dance music. after 3 ep s released digitally as a free net label, inner daze ep by henry hyde is the first of a series of vinyl only releases. hh-01 and inner daze are two highly emotional tracks which perfectly represent this artist s style and attitude, with extremely well constructed grooves and hypnotic melodies. berlin based etienne s remix of hh-01 is a clear analog techno 4/4 reconstruction which takes the listener into a more dance floor orientated journey. we truly hope you will enjoy our music.
