powel returns to all day i dream with an ep that perfectly encapsulates the label s emotive sound. beautiful and dreamy journeys to close your eyes to and float. ever the perfectionist powel’s tracks have been heard at the events in various revised forms until, finally, he was happy. that makes us happy too. if you’re expecting peak time bangers please move on immediately. however, if you love tinkling bells, smooth flourishes of emotion and great beats then you’ve come to the right place.
sebastiens music feels like it was born in the heart of all day i dream. rocket to lees little cloud reminds us why its so much fun to dance with your hips. and while having fun that lead to equally silly track titles. satellite. elegant, classy house music with a nod to the past on a journey into the future (that, one day, will also be the past...what?) underwater. a grandiose trip to the moon and back. any the wiser? no, us neither. why not just press play and fall in love.
all day i dream returns for another summer sampler with seasonal tunes from the likes of jonas rathsman, sébastien léger, volen sentir, leo grünnbaum, yokoo, and more. wonderous pads, delicate percussion, and soft voicings cohesively blend the 9-track compilation into a spectacle of aural bliss, weaving between dancefloor friendly and the more sonically relaxing tracks under adid’s signature modus operandi...
gorje and izhevski return to all day i dream. finally! our russian exotic step brothers have their own elegant and distinctive sound that carefully balances musical emotion with signature beats. equally at home on the dance floor as well as your lounge floor in your spotify playlist. nikolai has been a long time fan of peter broderick and was given the opportunity to work with him last year. he (and dimitri) took peter s vocals and created something quite beautiful, both in ambient form as well as the 4:4 version. ta da! their new ep was well on it s way to completion. seeing as i m never satisfied though i insisted they stayed up late for another week and the result was l eternite. harking back to one of their first releases (calinerie) on the label this subtle melodic bomb will be heard as the sun sets or the sun rises across the universe this summer. if you re not already aware please check out the boys label too. shanti radio moscow is a label we at all day i dream love.
lee burridge, lost desert and junior akwety return with summer vibes all the way. following last year s subtle monster lingala, they bring the sunshine once again with three tracks. elongis vocal floats above its foundation of warm sub bass and groovy beats and always seems to induce at least one person in the crowd to sing along. even though we know they don t speak lingala (a language from congo). mona yo is a little groovier. floaty house music for outdoors. talking of floaty, the ep is wrapped up by float on. its pretty for sure but has a certain drive thats been rocking the all day i dream dance floor all year. close your eyes and daydream.
modd finally arrives on the label after swinging by on last years summer sampler. four beautiful compositions come together in harmony. beautiful music for sure but its the lead track that youll most likely be hearing across numerous continents this summertime. well leave it up to you to explore the eps nuances and blissful charm. if youre simply looking for a track to play in the clubs then be really lazy and just listen to salomeya.
new to the all day i dream team is newman. his name literal. this new york based artist is at the beginning of what we believe will be a long career both through his emotive productions and compelling beautiful dj sets. the release itself sits at the more dance floor oriented end of the label. both breath of the souls and the long journey have been truly tried and tested at this point. solid grooves, wailing middle eastern emotive lady voices and strings. for our events, these are the peak time anthems. the ep also features when the leaves fall, closing out the release in blissful style, and a warm welcome for newman to our all day i dream family.
gab rhome is back on all day i dream with, believe it or not, his very first solo release. we first encountered our bowtie wearing friend via his collaboration with maher daniel way back in the label s catalogue. he dropped by again last summer as one of the tracks on our annual summer sampler release with venus. it rocked the beatport deep house chart for months. continuing in that vein we find two wonky fun summery house tunes with rolling grooves, tinkling pianos, glassy sounds and memorable melodies which is fun to say by the way go on, say it. say it out loud right now on your plane journey, in the coffee shop, hotel room or in bed with your cat words and music to make you smile
paper tree sneaked out into the world for a moment a few years back and then vanished. lee burridge loved the track so much that he continued to harass rebelski, sometimes standing outside his window in the flower bed, for weeks on end until he finally agreed to let lee release it on all day i dream. not content with a single track lee went back to rebelskis garden and tapped on the window repeatedly until he agreed to make some more beautiful tracks. obviously pestering producers in this manner bares fruit. the paper tree ep ranges from a beautiful solitary solo piano piece that wouldn t be amiss in a british period piece drama where someone dies unexpectedly leaving the survivors to deal with it, all the while maintaining their stiff upper lip. fly the kite made us want to go outside and do just that. so we did. it was epic. circles and squares joins paper tree as one of those dance floor moments best experienced with ones eyes closed. myriad is the sound of a young lady robots jewelry box (yes, we predict robots will be wearing jewelry in the future) that she(bot) pines to hear when she s all grown up and rusty. omoshiroi is, well, its just so damn pretty. good work rebelski. good work.
it s always summer somewhere we believe. here s our latest release to make a dull day brighter roy s first ep for all day i dream has continued to create quiet moments of magic for us since last summer. straight out the gate comes -when we were innocent . it s one of those seemingly small tracks on headphones that when played out in the club it sneaks up on your dance floor when the bassline arrives. especially after the main drop. emotive with a tight groove it s a winner! -gutfeelin- has a whimsical mood to it. it s not going to be for everyone that s for sure but for those with an adventurous or more playful spirit it lingers long in the memory. a track constantly discussed on our socials and asked about it s definitely got it s own special vibe. -shadow of truth- walks the tightrope between breakbeat and 4:4. it s emotive journey wraps you in it s arms and gives you a warm hug. falling in love? here s today s soundtrack to accompany that beautiful feeling. closing out the ep is sudden realization . smooth, deep and linear. a warm slice of groovy house. best enjoyed with your eyes closed. we hope you love the ep as much as we do.
after playing lovestar to death we reached out to see if sebastien was still feeling in an emotional mood. we discovered quickly that, in fact, this is where his creative heart lives and breathes. the two tracks featured here were conjured up (in a daydream we like to believe) in time to play out at all the summer closing events in the usa and on be tvs coverage at the bpm festival and our south american tour. already loved. already track id d and already to create more magical moments. enjoy!
taking the labels emotional sound into a deeper realm we welcome zone + to all day i dream. four tracks for more far out moments. these tracks might not rock your dance floor but they might just rock your soul. cuddle up with your lover and enjoy... bien. beautiful and gentle house music that loves you right back. baia. this is a gentle track with a subtle emotional vibe feeling like you are far away from land floating on an ocean with no land in sight. all you want to do is drift, lay back and watch the clouds roll by. sia - a subtle piano and male vocal transport you to a blissful place floating above the delicate landscape of beats. apocalypto - there s a mysterious feeling this track creates. a haunting vocal exists somewhere in the background and hypnotizes the listener.
we feel phck’s music has been heading towards us at all day i dream for a while. lee burridge was all about aeris (on connoisseur) and reached out to them to express his love of it. ph and ck (yes, it really is their initials) returned the love of our label and sent some amazing music shortly thereafter.
not aimed at every dj’s dance floor these three tracks mark the beginning of a journey on our imprint for artists we believe in. we hope to release their debut album in 2018. in the meanwhile though as autumn arrives we thought we’d ease you gently towards the shorter nights with three deeper shades of emotive house music. put your headphones on and drift away, make a beautiful mix for your partner or your audience or, for those inline with our sound, play them out loud at your events. we hope you love them as much as we do.
footnote. for less experienced dj’s who like to bang it out. these tracks are amazing to warm up the club with. jus saying ,)
love from cloud headquarters.
yokoo and retza return to all day i dream with four wonderful tracks furthering their emotional reach on the dance floor.
“euneirophrenia” (the peaceful state of mind after a pleasant dream ... see we teach you things!) is an exercise in how best to use the sound of an elephant in a breakdown. featuring one of the sickest bass line the label has released, this tune has rocked each and every time it’s dropped, and been asked for repeatedly.
“orenda” goes deep. it is a lonesome melancholic beauty that slowly opens and delicately presents strings and subtle vocals.
“tarantism” evokes the fading days of summertime as winter approaches. its lonely chords and sad strings pull on the heart. gorgeous and very all day i dream.
“yügen” closes out the ep with another slow burner. gently blossoming from its drum led intro, the emotive melodies build while deeper tones play off them and punctuate to make it a gorgeous piece of music.
hoj’s ep on all day i dream has been a long time coming. after over 15 years as a dj, this ep marks hoj’s first official release. telefade is a track that hoj had been evolving for some time. after a final session with modd, hoj took the track to burning man where he played it for the first time. lee burridge heard it and signed the tune on the spot. featuring haunting vocals from amega. the second track on the ep is called leap day, named for the day in 2016 that hoj began it. made for sunrises and sunsets, the tune weaves through lush melodies with a bounce. powel’s delicate and refined touch brings a sophistication to leap day.
bedouin was first featured on the label s 2015 summer sampler with flight of birds helping build their reputation as master music makers. following on from this is their first full ep on all day i dream. each track casts its own unique spell. one thing rami and tamer know is mood. opening with straight to the heart beauty and hypnotic vibes abound. sounding as good pitched up as it does at it s patient pace, it s groove ignites the dance floor as well as the heart. the way home takes it s time to build textures and layers creating a more somber mood. the ep is close out with the vocals of eric volta on sight, perfectly complimenting the overall mood of the release. music for floating on clouds to...
all day i dream invites a few new names to the labels summer sampler season. alongside a few familiar ones too like lee burridge and lost desert with their much anticipated ‘absent without thoughts’. gab rhome and superlounge keeping it groovy. new music from new artists include budakid, phck and zone+, each one a unique flavor in dreamland.
the days are longer and lighter already and that can only mean one thing. summer is on its way… lee burridge and lost desert return with sunshine days in mind on their ‘loopyness’ ep. an apt description indeed for the title track. its infectious groove rolls forward, making you want to get up and wiggle your hips, this track has funk. a live guitar lifts the track halfway through, as stuttered vocals and string-like synth lines take you away to other worlds. over on the other side of the vinyl (or track two for digital fans) is ‘botanic’. another summer daze, groovy, light and airy with a slinky fat bassline and a warm breakdown. music to close your eyes and drift away to, this track has been a firm favourite on all day i dream dance floors since last summer. the ep comes to a close with ‘12cc’ featuring junior. a dubbier groove underpins the whole affair while glass-like melodies and laid back synths sway back and forth. it’s a patient groover that rewards those who take the ride.
life is an important track for me. i m obsessed with the past, with history and the way we apprehend life through the ages. i tried to express this deep feeling into music. so this track is about someone or something growing up. its really as intense and emotional as life can be. here today, gone tomorrow!
theres a certain ancient mystery to the melodies and feeling of purple hills. gentle, secret, ethereal moods that float invisibly in the spaces its played in. echoes of a familiar dream reverberate behind closed eyes that always remain slightly out of your grasp. chriss vogt’s trip takes you away to that place. a place though that only he knew existed.. until now. yokoo continues to create his own unique vibe. he expressed his love for the track when all day i dream visited morocco. with its groovier approach, it slowly creeps into the consciousness. a crisp drum groove and just a hint at the original’s dominant melodies create a understated new version slightly left of centre. chriss teams up with patrick jeremic for pour eternel. its always summer somewhere and it s dreamy essence charms the listener here. classy house music to take us through winter in the northern hemisphere.
ive always loved the sound of the italian word amarone (ah-mah-roh-nay). in my native spanish, amar means to love, so for me the word recalls that beautiful invitation: to love oneself. each track on this ep leads you through a different emotional landscape an unfiltered experience of feeling, an encounter with the heart.
as we welcome another talented artist to our family we asked viken about the first part of a two part release and he told us it s really important to understand that this ep is a series of pictures telling a story. combining the names of all the tracks one gets this interesting and dreamy sentence, on a blue road a white shadow feels the winter. to translate these pictures into music, i needed a very particular sound. since i am a huge fan of jazz music i took one of my favorite records, used a lot of samples and reworked them in my own way. from the technical aspect, i decided to reconnect with my first love: analog machines. i love working with sound textures. i stayed away from my laptop and all my vst/plugins as i felt the need to compose these tracks in an unusual way: i wanted the sound to be really pure. that s the reason why this process was so essential for me. for me, this ep is the first one to sound like this. this is the first of two releases from a deeply talented soul. a patient collage of house, jazz, acid squiggles and deep emotion. played and loved all summer long by lee burridge at all day i dream, these tracks will stay with you through winter and into next summer.
for over five years, all day i dream has been where deep and emotive meet house music. propelled by a community of forward thinking artists drawn around the scion of master curator and sunset/sunrise set specialist, lee burridge. all day i dream formally welcomes lost desert to the label with the release of lingala, a two-track collaborative effort with burridge himself, that also features junior on vocals. lost desert was picked out of obscurity after burridge discovered his music while trekking in a remote area of a long lost land. a fast forged friendship inevitably lead to the studio, and lingala’s the enrapturing sophomore result. the duo’s first project together debuted on lee’s night time imprint, get weird, earlier this year to widespread support. lingala, is a beautifully composed ten-minute sonic journey. built around a mystical lead vocal sung by newcomer junior in his native linagles the raw emotion slowly builds in intensity over propulsive basslines and deep melodic grooves . gorje hewek & izhevski’s interpretation of lingala is a markedly different affair. focussing on musical layers rather than the vocal the duo’s signature spacey atmospheres and minimal rhythmic percussion add extra strings creating uplifting moments that contrast the original’s mood.
death on the balcony s ‘tides of fortune has been the subject of relentless -track id- requests pleading us to reveal the name of the artist and track since be-at-tv streamed the bpm performance of lee burridge and matthew dekay back in 2015. joined on the ep by three other tracks there s a cohesive feel to the two friends vibe. mysterious melodies drift in and out of the hypnotic grooves on rivers of sound that could have soundtracked a star trek episode from the original series. 1700 miles is delicate and deep with a simple infectious vocal sample. don t be deceived though. when played on a club system the kick drum and bassline draw you in while the atmospheric elements send the listener to otherworldly places. we feel rather privileged as this track is mark’s first solo outing from dotb under his new moniker “caramelli” and dotbs first full length on all day i dream. mark’s back in the band for memories of the future which completes the release with its funky bass and trippy ambience. close your eyes and be transported.
oona dahl joined us at all day i dream last year both as a dj and recording artists. her first release high eyes was featured on our summer sampler and floated onto the dance floor and into the consciousness of dj s around the world. oona studied sound design in the usa before moving to berlin over the summer of 2015 to continue honing and crafting her sound. her first full ep for adid features deep dreamscapes and innovative arrangements underpinned by solid grooves that capture emotive, twisted melodic expressions. she and her music are a trip to the depths.
yokoo has been slowly gaining a well deserved reputation for quality the past few years. already playing our events and an integral part of our family he first featured one of his productions on last summer s sampler. finally his own solo release sees the beautiful light of day. each track perfectly crafts an atmosphere. each a story unto itself. yokoo enlists friend and multi talented artist retza to add an extra layer of emotion to his already complex musical compositions. the result? a three track ep to not only send you soaring in to space at certain moments but also, at he same, time have you explore organic musical jungles, oceans and deserts of our world and others yet discovered. no one is really sure what that means exactly so why not let the music describe itself.
certain tracks just get inside your head. the bar tender is one of those and serves up (pun intended) a nostalgic yet forward thinking tune. live strings and field recordings meet a killer groove to help create the summer anthem of burning man and all day i dreams events. *track id* was a constant request after all our events since. seth schwarz and be svendson we salute you! contact.
