audiojack return to 2020 after a year or so setting up their imprint gruuv. the new single >get serious< shows the duo not only mature as artists but also develop and hone their sound to new house themed productions. the title track is state of the art bounce in a box with a killer vocal hook, >let the rhythm take you<, meandering around sweet insistent stabs. its been smashing terraces, rooftops and discotheques all summer and now its finally available for our select dj friends to carry on the vibes through autumn. >polka dot dress< comes spotted with a sound originally created on the classic korg m1 synth and used by mk to devastating effect in the 90s. audiojack have then sprinkled their magic dust on it and added sweeping detroit techno strings, tight drums and healthy amounts of bottom end rumble. as we look forward it is important to know your roots and audiojack show they know their house history by covering the all time classic by the backroom - definition of a track. no samples at all were used and the guys worked out and replayed all the synth parts before adding new vocals from kevin knapp. by beefing up the original we hope a new generation of djs and clubbers bust out this amazing track. it deserves to be heard again and is produced and primed for todays dancefloors.

despite the post-industrial label often affixed to factory floor, there is a greater complexity of sound within the bands music that defies such facile descriptions. yes, there are rigid, fixed beats, and other sounds from the manufacturing plant, as suggested by the trios moniker. but there is also an underlying danceability that belies the seeming austerity of the sound, a hint at warmth that cuts through the permafrozen exterior. that curious balance has paid endless dividends thus far: they have been remixed by producer gavin russom, liars angus andrew and no ages dean allen, remixed and released by optimo, remixed and collaborated live with throbbing gristle legend chris carter, and remixed and produced (!) by joy division and new orders stephen morris. its been a whirlwind few years in terms of musical accolades, and factory floors dfa debut is a glimpse into why.

the next ep on germany s hello? repeat imprint comes from seuil, one of paris s most inspired underground producers. in terms of style, it is a match that could hardly be more perfect. hello? repeat has spent the past six years carving a niche for itself with eps from cabanne, audio werner and label co-founder daze maxim, plus acclaimed albums by bruno pronsato and kate simko. seuil, meanwhile, has put out a steady stream of ultra-deep 12-inches on labels like freak n chic and sammy dees ultrastretch. both specialize in a sound that is modern, understated and hypnotic. late call is exactly what its name suggests: a record made for the deepest, most tender portion of the night. the drums are slick and punchy, but the rest is woozy and romantic–this is one to put on when the crowd has stopped chatting and everyone s dancing with their eyes closed. topping it off is a vocal line made famous by diana ross but recited here by an androgynous diva: if you need me, call me, no matter where you are, no matter how far… dark, trippy and weirdly moving, this is one of seuil s finest tracks yet. >slow motion< strikes a similar chord but with a more subtle approach. here you notice seuil s rare touch for subtlety: in the absence of any real >hook<, he keeps the track moving with expertly sculpted drums, a warm half-melody and a gently propulsive beat. soft chords sustain in the background to create a balmy summer night feel. both tracks show seuil and hello? repeat doing what they do best: delivering something deep, functional and full of character.

lower east launched in the summer of 2010. it was the result of a coming together of 3 likeminded friends: cozzy d, lee brinx and ed kane (kanio/dexter kane). all established members of the london scene in their own right, they combined forces to create a label with one simple ethos: quality electronic music. whilst the idea itself is unified, the influences are vast. disco, techno, garage, hip-hop, drum and bass, jazz, 80 s and soul all inspire lower easts subtle blend of 4/4 beats. notable artists on lower east include: lee foss, gavin herlihy, robert james, uner, nima gorji, pezzner, richie ahmed, puente and rosche, waifs and strays, and death on the balcony.

justice, the french duo formed by gaspard auge and xavier de rosnay, is the band of a whole generation. when the two friends were still bright students in graphic design, in 2003 they made justice a place to experiment a hybrid genre between music and image, which blends pop and electronic borders, and showcases the talents of 2 fascinating passionate pop culture craftsmen, bored with hierarchy. they met pedro winter who had just founded his label ed banger records, he immediately signs them after listening to >we are your friends< which, with its joyful and vitamin-enriched electro beats combined with exhilarating voices, became the hymn of a whole generation and one of the most important tracks of the year 2000, celebrating a reconciliation of pop music and the dancefloor.

he & she is a project from alexander pavlenko and nastia. nastia should be known to music lovers and festival visitors. by now the sympathetic young woman from the ukraine is homelike on many stages of the world . her sets in kazantip made her worldwide known. so it is no wonder that she is working for the well-established radio kiss.fm. the actual mgf 18 >videt< convinced through a deep groove and light cords. kollektiv turmstrasse corroborate the titletrack with their own sound. thus they create an own remix where you defiantly recover new aspects.

today, the pit lane is decorated with red carpet and golden leaf for two exceptional talents: from the black forest patrick chardronnet for the gui boratto (bra)-team, and from the westerwald dominik eulberg (ger) for the extrawelt-team. both drivers are concentrated. they are wearing shimmering overalls and golden helmets. they get into their softly purring apparillos. two pairs of gloves at the steering wheel. the heat is flimmering over the hot asphalt. during the race, the gui boratto / patrick chardronnet-team focuses on deep bass lines and a constant improvement in performance with a slightly shifted ideal line, and only one pit stop. in three words: mighty, majestic, thunderous! team-extrawelt acts a bit more flexible. dominik eulberg either puts on the handbrake or drives at full speed. he is fast, he is flexible, and his elegant turns make the audience go wild. but in the end, both sportsmen share the champagne, and the after-show party will go down in the history of the tunig series. ready, steady, go!

we are very happy and proud to announce yippiee?s fourth release. your dudes from hannover, filtertypen and benny ferkel just signed five great new tracks for the upcoming indoor season, but for sure they will work also just excellent for the last open air events as well. the yippiee004, as every release by yippiee, again is a hannover based production. yes, even if you didn?t know mario aureo, the only bird that has flown away and now has his nest in berlin is from hannover as well as chris lattner who was born near our wonderful homebase.with the ?all night long ep? mario tried to do a record with different tracks for every part of a long lasting night. the track ?under pressure? is a digital bonus, but the vinyl itself will show you yippiee?s and especially mario?s point of view for the night in a deep and groovy way.

following up the scorching debut release another night, deep&disco recordings sidesteps the sophomore slump with elisco, an infectious electro-funk groover that both cements the labels commitment to quality and expands their musical range.
a chunky nu-disco track with hints of metro area and a catchy vocal hook, the seeds of elisco were planted in the early 2000s when label founder jkriv and lou teti were sharing a loft space in williamsburg, brooklyn. after an afternoon of cowbells and synths, the skeleton of the track had its shape, and their other roomates girlfriend was enlisted to sing the hook. she had no singing experience (or rhythmic sense) to speak of, but somehow it all worked and elisco was born! although its always been a personal favorite of the producer duo, the song remained shelved for almost 7 years until they dusted it off in early 2011 and readied it for release on the newly minted deep&disco recordings.
providing remixes for the vinyl release are the legendary leftside wobble, who turns in an extended and bpm-d-up version quite true to the original, taking the machine vibes to the next level with added loops and fx. brightons alphabet city brings the disco-boogie sensibility to the package with a deep mix that features jkriv on live bass, and whiskey disco regular sleazy mcqueen rounds it out with an indie dance stomper.

dresdens cult label uncanny valley returns with the charming catalogue number six. following up jacob korns first artist ep for the label its c-beams turn now to continue the series of artist eps. break sls and sandrow ms project can be referred to as a true labels child. musically, both artists got to know each other only when the label was founded. for >strollin< they lend the vocal talents by tina slotta who is associated with uncanny valley as well. the result is an irresistible house-jam. easy vibrant beats are complemented by birds twittering, warm keys and tinas carefree lyrics. jackmates remix toughen things up and transfers the tracks with mighty detroit-chords into a real monster for the dancefloor. the slightly murkier >scrapyard< takes its strength out of the interaction between its vehement beats and the c-beams-typical sound excursions. finally, the instrumental of >strollin< rounds up the ep.

we are more than happy to present the second part of the remixes of kollektiv turmstrasses rebellion der träumer album. the first part with interpretations by jimpster and robag wruhme already created a big buzz and we hope to continue like this with the uneins remixes by our scandinavian connaisseur darlings of norway and living legend aril brikha. the a-side of part 2 features a version of uneins by our oslo based homies and connaisseur protégés of norway. they take the original parts and blend them according to their own voodoo-tech vision. the result is both catchy and extremely danceable. the b-side offers one of the rare remixes by swedish techno soul wizard aril brikha who delivers an epic monster. is is techno? is it house? is it deep house? it is everything and nothing. but one thing we know its simply timeless! expect more remixes in 2012
