pattern repeat is a new music-project and label by kenneth christiansen, echocord & echocord colour label boss, and his partner dennis bøg aka resoe, running the baum label. the pattern repeat label will only containsproductions from kenneth & dennis, and the music is focused on the modern berlin techno sound today, dubstep and dub-techno. pattern repeat will also release records on other labels, so far the first one is out on echocordcolour. kenneth and dennis met eachother 8 years ago when they worked together in at that time famous copenhagen-record-shop >loud<, which closed 5 years ago. at that time dennis was more into broken beat, hip-hop anddeep house. kenneth was already running the label echocord, and soon dennis started his label baum. the label baum is also like echocord, releasing dub-techno, and dennis started to release his own material as resoe, andbuilded up his studio the years after.1 year ago we decided to try to do a new project together, working together in the studio, and now pattern repeat is born.

scott monteith aka deadbeat is back on echocord with an absolutely killer ep. after his split ep with fenin on echocord colour this year, and his earlier ep with pole (d.p.) he is now back on echocord with his vampire ep. deadbeat is one scott monteith, a long time montrealer and recent berlin ex pat who has been releasing his own special blend of dub laden, minimal electronics since 2000, for labels such as cynosure, musique risquée, scape and spectral to name but a few. this continues in the same vain. dub is the key here and it is used with such class and insight. the flip sees a more twisted track that shows a slightly more edgy side.

christian loefflers raise ep is one of the most stunning pieces of recorded electronic music - at least thats what glitterbug and the rest of c.sides thought when the demo was first played back in their cologne studio, and they have been in love ever since.

introductions ep, part 1... marks the initiation for the moscow records imprint and the launch of a series of eps to feature on the label focused solely on introducing fresh, young, creative producers to the scene. in part 1 we are proud to introduce two exciting new london talents in archie hamilton and alexqbit, alongside the berlin based greek producer keinton. the ep is perfectly pitched for the morning dawn that follows the long northern winter nights, with warm latin-grooves drifting into deeper soundscapes and subtly euphoric builds. released as 200 exclusive limited edition vinyls!

behind the synonym nick sole is karsten kaufmann. as a music producer, he has released only 3 titles on the cult label mojuba between 2005 and 2009 but all of them had a great success within the deep house community. this is his first release out since march 2009 and contains two different takes of >never<, the radio edit and the space dub version which is a 14 minutes ride to the heart of deep house accompanied of a classy and delightful conga and catchy vocals. >back to love< completes the ep and elevates nick sole to the soul music heaven.

supported by richie hawtin, laurent garnier, afrilounge, kombinat100, funkwerkstatt, gabriel ananda! 3000° - der wanderzirkus heißt die aktuelle tour, die von oktober 2009 bis april 2010 durch die clubs zieht! passend dazu gibt es jetzt die 3000° - der wanderzirkus compilation! und alle acts sind mit dabei. den anfang der ersten auskopplung macht mollono.bass mit einem remix zu >am utkiek< von schäufler & zovsky. eine leicht melancholische, maritime nummer mit dem bekannten drive und groove von mollono.bass! die beiden jungs von der waterkant tracker liefern mit ihrem track >der seiltänzer< einen euphorischen partykracher, der bei keinem primetime set fehlen darf. auf der b-seite triff man auf dreher & sm.art, die mit ihrem track >affenzirkus< wirklich das gefühl vermitteln, als wäre man in mitten der manege, umgeben von skurrilen figuren, kreischenden affen und lustigen domteuren. mit einem wunderschön deepen track von neurotron ist die erste compilation eine wahrlich runde sache!

in mos ferrys eyes mikael stavostrands no turning back(mfp024) release at the end of 2006 still marks a highlight of his minimal techno period - and this is not only because of big bullys unmistakable vocals. now, none other than daniel sanchez (mumbling yeah) takes up the subject once again and with his no turning back remix he picks up where the krause duo started tastefully back then. daniels 12 minutes remix relies totally on an energetic rolling groove and puts the vocals always precisely when others would think it cant get more driving. the second remix was made by mikael stavostrand himself and is a straight and spatial welldesigned dj tool. for his own re-interpretation big bully got reinforcement through the argentinean odnu and heads more towards dub techno. these are three very succeeded remixes, which awake the desire to listen one more time to the original (despite the title)

after their great debut >motzbaz / indeed< on afao recordings and the following 12inches >hello kool nice< and <langenthal ep< on quintessentials recordings, which found its way into the bags and charts of djs like quarion, laurent garnier, jimpster and many more, jagged strikes back with a 12 on bonzzaj recordings. this single also contains a hot remix by the dutch multi-talented man aardvarck, one half of the rednose district. jaggeds productions are restrained and minimal in the right way - they doesnt let things get overloaded. they focuses mainly on straight beats and functional house music but always with the right ingredient of soul and rawness. the title track ten to twelve is a heavy cut with a lot of disco influences, funky basslines, cool house-grooves and surprising changes all over the track. the remix of ten to twelve comes from aardvarck, who releases on rushhour, kindred spirits and delsin. he transformed the original in an broken beat stomper, which sounds like it emerged straight out of londons co-op. the b-side contains chicago, a deep house number with forward going percussions, warm strings, oldscool-house-vocals and a slight acid flavour and last but not least the track an orange drippin, which takes you with its deep synth, percussions, basslines, bells and things in the deeper shades of…jagged nation. hot shit gesundheit

the berlin-based dj and producer eva be is no newcomer to the international dance-music scene. 2 years ago she released her long-player >moving without travelling< on bestseven / sonar kollektiv records creating her very own trademark dub-influenced electronic sound. this ep is the logical continuation of her musical output as she has been djing quite a heavy 4/4 sound in the last years playing alongside best works records djs andre lodemann, roland appel and alex barck of jazzanova in places such as goa/madrid, cookies/berlin, dampfzentrale/bern, etc.
>new crack< combines an electronic dub driven bass sound with classic old-school house influences - dancefloor business. darko essers mix is more intrecate giving the orginal a more dramatic crystalline twist. last but not least andre lodemanns previously unreleased remix of eva bes tune >she walks alone< sees the light.

fresh 2010 repress !! two more deep but slamming techno cuts from this enigmatic duo. silent servant has definitely been picking up the pace of late, his recent release on techno-label-of-the-moment sandwell district showed a definite progression both in terms of style & >hardness<, and here >la noche < - a throbbing beast of a track - continues that progression. santiago salazar, fresh from a superb release on macromedia, pulls more atmospheric tricks out of the bag, but doesn t forget the dancefloor. cool shit, no doubt!

fresh 2010 repress !! maybe silent servant (aka john mendez) has been at the coloured sweeties and fizzy pop, as the two tracks for >negative fascinations< are decidedly more upbeat than offerings on his previous three sandwell district releases, or indeed his own historia y violencia label. that s not to say that they are exactly cheery though - the string-like drones of >discipline< will doubtless send a shiver up the spine of many a raver - but >demonstration< certainly ups the tempo by a notch or two compared to the much deeper flavours that we have become accustomed to. an accomplished enhancement of his production, whilst remaining true to his trademark textured sound...

fresh 2010 repress !! historia y violencia is a new project exploring the hispanic roots of santiago salazar (dj s2) and j. mendez (silent servant). both producers dissect their latin upbringings as a cinematic theme to create snapshots of the day-to-day blood and sweat that has shaped them as individuals. the sound takes cue from detroit, berlin and chicago to create classic, deep dancefloor tracks. santiago salazar started djing in the early 90s inspired by mix tapes his brother was bringing back from the gay underground scene in los angeles. his style has always been a mixture of house and techno. after moving to detroit, santiago began his music training with mike banks, label founder of underground resistance. he is also half of the duo ican (ican productions / planet e) who have been responsible for some killer techno releases. the central american born j. mendez cut his teeth as jasper in the late 90s/early 2000s, running the california-based cytrax label. a veteran dj from the age of 16, he has performed worldwide in clubs from berlin to osaka. along with technical wizards kit clayton and sutekh, he helped shed light on the small but influential minimal techno scene on the west coast. a chance meeting with karl oconnor in 1999 established a friendship that would later open the door to the sandwell district label in 2006. silent servants sound is a reinterpretation of early 80s post-punk electronics, paired with the deep, metallic sounds of basic channel and downwards.

meakusma starts a new series of special, limited releases. on 10inch vinyl and cd, a number of different artists will be contributing tracks, leftfield from the demands and expectations of any weekly release schedule. kicking off the series is madteo, who already prickled initiated ears with his releases on morphine and its sublabel lanquid.

the second release of the label baud from tom dicicco, who lives in manchester, brings us the two tracks >material things< and >empire<, concluded by a remix of >material things< by patrick graeser, who already attract attention on liebe*detail.

roberto bardini is a deep techno producer from turin (ita). he is amongst the few enlightened producer/djs who declared independence from the current minimal-techno mainstream. his musical approach is by all means deep, and through this he casts his vision of a more mature and alternative dancefloor.
well known alongside labels such as shyan music and plastic city, in 2007 starts a collaboration with eclipsemusic and this is his second apparence named >new perspectives ep< features a slow-motion deep house vibes especially >through together< amazing synth texture running on pads pattern in classic robs style deep as the ocean, music with soul and appropriate track for sunset landscapes and beach time dancing, the titletrack >new perspective< is more techno oriented production with dub style chords and raw clipped bass, a new form of dub techno music better for dancefloor situations. rob confirms himself as a innovative deep man walking!

in japanese niwa means garden. the concept of what an album should be is really taken seriously here. with >niwa< what you open your ears and emotions to isnt just another loose bundle of tracks. all the single stories, element by element, are constantly fusing together into a greater whole. this is rippertons world. he draws on all the influences that have journeyed with him as a passionate musician on life’s long and winding road. influences far beyond dark booming warehouse parties abound, and are just as likely to conjure up vivid images of dewy lausanne sunsets. folk tinged downbeat experiments peacefully co-exist with delicious jazz blueprints and sublime ambient soundscapes, sitting in harmony with deeply hypnotic house grooves.

the second half of the great lengths remixes package offers 3 more vividly contrasting interpretations of album tracks. almost a year on from the release of his debut album >one< and with >saviour of techno< plaudits still bouncing off concrete walls, berghain lynchpin ben klock turns in a remix of is this insanity that distills everything inspirational about both the club and city he calls home. spaceapes cracked vocal is welded to a sort of cavernous piston driven groove while traces of the originals melody fractured into the briefest of shards fight their way to the surface only to sink back into the percussive smog. located well outside of the heavily scrutinised uk hype centres, manchesters rising star illum sphere continues to hone his already distinct sound on the flipsides brilliant orange reworking. a clanking off kilter groove rubs up against an extended mutation of the original melody that pushes the track towards a poignant climax, evoking all the ache of reaching for the stars and landing squarely on ones face.

after a year claudio mate is back on klap klap! and during this year he has worked on his profile, making it stronger and more known around the world. his lush but driving and emotional detroit inspired techno has really been gaining strength within the circuits of those who know. this record will not make his reputation weaker for sure. we believe it will make some heads nodding in the right direction. let the music speak for itself!

the tripping a-side >marangai waikawa< leads into archaic vaults - a dark spatial pattern of droning synth atmospheres all maintained at a decisively bass oriented centre. a ceremonial dance, refined with self-played kanjira percussion. mysterious choirs invoke a rainfall of tribal metal percussion.
out of the dust of >marangai waikawa< grows >scud< on the flip. part two of a thrilling journey, pulsing straight forward with pushing noise elements, astute shuffly percussion combined with scattered vocals >changes are gradual<.
