human potential movement is the second release from chaotic reality since his first self-released 12inch chreal01 which received support from samuel valenti (ghostly), project pablo, eclair fifi, coby sey (whities) and telfort. in this follow up ep, chaotic reality takes the genre trance literally, exploring deeper meditative themes on a canvas of 4/4 dub techno. influences like shinichi atobe, ciel, newworldaquarium, sensual physics and fluxion creep into a hypnotic three-track ep.

londons frequencies unknown present their maiden transmission intazonez, a collection of fractured and futurist melodic machine experimentation with a human soul. label operators intareality give a 4 tracker that channels myriad influences while retaining a rare air of mystery and the essence of hazy studio encounters and programming sessions late into the night. woven through the threads of each track is a reverence for london, sheffield, detroit and berlin, a lifetime of passionate study, pirate radio and raves, these cuts are the soundtrack to your night-time journeys circa 2028. music to zone to through unfamiliar corners intazonez is a 4 part quest constructed deep into the early hours.

chreal01 is the debut project by scottish producer chaotic reality exploring a meditative side to techno. written over the course of several months spent living in new york as a resistance to the frenetic pace of a busy environment, chreal01 contains four tracks that repeat, oscillate and soundtrack a more centred existence. inspired by shinichi atobe, avalon emerson, newworldaquarium / ross154 & the 7th plain. each track in this self-released record is named after its sequence and operates on a slower tempo, focussing on melody and sound design, with aim to investigate the space between dub techno and early trance. track one opens with gentle dancing chords developing over 7 minutes, with subtle nods to echospace and black dogs otaku over a punchy kick and warm sub. reverb-licked stabs pass softly in and out the mix and ride over a homogenous chord range, highlighting points in the melody and meandering back into the ether. two has an introspective focus, rarely reaching more than two kicks per four bars. an arpeggiated lead centres the composition, slowly developing over a thick bassline. distant snaps and pops season the track and highlight the empty breathing space intentionally left in the production. on the b-side, three is characterised by heavily saturated kicks softly thumping under a bubbling melody, broken by echo-delayed stabs varying in form, filter depth and feedback timing. on the closing song four, chaoticreality develops and sculpts a stack of delayed chords creating a progressively elevating soundscape. the lead melody chords layer and discord changing thickness, shape and form throughout with pseudo kicks acting as a complimentary melody. here, cr plays with space to creating a hypnotic spacial production akin to digital justice or the orb, with the intention to take the listener to a transcendental state. chreal01 is housed in a popset sleeve & hand stickered

reality check a one-off project from freddy turner & jason hernandez who dropped this soulful, street-tough slice of house on strictly rhythm back in 1998. this is one of those hidden gems, tucked away in the recesses of the strictly catalogue, so it may well have slipped by under the radar save for a few dedicated heads and vinyl junkies! it s got that nyc sound, hard drums, vocal samples, tripped out loops and stabs. perfect dj material if you re into the funked out stripped back house sounds of the mid to late 90s, this one will certainly be (in) your bag. fantasy has been given some tasty 2017 remastering treatment and repressed onto a high quality, weighty 12inch for all you fiends out there, this one will keep them moving in the mix. perfect nyc house sounds here, untouched and represented in its original 1998 form, no sleeping permitted!

does this need an explanation? my two favourite dj sides from stark reality catalog, for say brother i fixed the eq and made it a bit more club friendly also editing the crazy tripped out ending out which maybe controversial but always freaked the dance floor out so i cut that out to gain some extra volume and bass. on the flip we got bustin out of doors which has always been a favourite warm-up record again without the random ending. to make it extra cute i used the o.g hoagy carmichael’s music shop illustration. 500 only, no repress.

the fourth reference of onward recordings comes with 2 great artist, first martin prestige from hungary who created two amazing tracks for the a side. the b side of this reference it s for the milano duo infinite layers of reality, lusbek & bhonz who collaborate with two lovely tracks. you can also find a tool on this side! enjoy it.
