the fourth release on spazio records is indeed a very special one. it’s the first release from behrang mohammadi - who also is one of the label bosses. coming from the punk/noise scene playing in various bands, he found his true calling in the underground electronic community of southern sweden.
the ep consists of two minimalistic club weapons, each one of it’s own kind. it’s a groovey affair with the typical elements of behrangs own djing: it’s not too much, not too little - always full of passion.

over the past years bézier has seen releases under the dark entries record imprint with the most recent telomeres ep this year. the title track &#30342,,,, or pronounced * mina* translates from japanese to * everyone*. mina is a journey through space with the initial ascent marked by a moody window of time in which uncertainty dominates the mindset of the passengers. once they break through the atmosphere and are proceeding as planned they land on the final destination, an interplanetary discotheque. mina was recorded this year with mark pistel on the helms for mixing and features sf drummer kevin woodruff of tussle fame providing live drumming for the last portion of the track. along with the title track the b-side includes tracks previously released on compilations but appear here for maximum record playing enjoyment. * serengeti drive* which appeared on honey soundsystems earlier hnytrx compilation of queer dancefloor artists is the slow burner of the group. * mysteries of the deep* which appeared in the jacktone cassette compilation of bay area electronic stars is the soundtrack to an underwater expedition. both tracks were recorded, produced and mixed by robert in his home sf studio in 2009.

mina records head honcho masaya returns to her ever-impressive imprint this june with a blistering three track ep *la nuit*, featuring a remix from agaric.
ep opener *la nuit* shimmers into life over buttery synths and shifting percussion while ghostly intonations and warm resonations combine to deliver a deep and affecting cut that immediately leaves you wanting more.
for the b-side claudia teams up with fellow vocalist anders ilar to deliver *stars*, a sumptuous affair with delicate percussive arrangements and long-drawn-out synths. drumcode and ovum recordings affiliate agaric steps up for remix duty and utilizes dynamic hooksand hypnotic rhythms to dish up an infectious version of *stars*.

following on from label-head masayas *angel ep* that picked up support from the likes of peter van hoesen, osunlade and vince watson, the ever-impressive mina recordings is back this march with sabota & grenier *two hands* with remixes from sei a and sam k.

the chilean born and swiss based producer claudia ayala aka masaya has been making her mark for some time with a string of impressive releases on labels such as num, perspectiv and of course her own imprint mina records.

switzerlands mina records turns to the new partnership of our loving sun for its 12th release, and serves it up with a standout remix from countryman ripperton. our loving sun is a new band project that sees swede anders ilar and american chris yard team up to create a melange of ambient, dub techno, acid, pop and synth wave music with plenty of orchestral additions and guest appearances.

incl. her in demand tune -tomorrow- . six-track anthology of south african singer ntombi ndaba, featuring 2 songs from 3 of her solo albums, mina ngiljaji (1988), mama nature (1989) and why me (1991). . ntombi ndaba first rose to fame in 1985 with ntombi & survival, becoming one of the most popular singers of the bubblegum era. after setting up the independent label anneko with her producer a.t. ‘rubber’ khoza in 1988, she went solo. following khoza’s death in the early 1990s, ndaba never recorded again. mastered by: wouter brandenberg

violet and bleid met last year in lisbon, at the radio quântica studios. in the very same day, they impromptu started working together on a track: a cover of underground sound of lisbon’s so get up to celebrate international womens day. together, alongside a crew of young lisbon djs and activists, they also run the queer techno party mina, one of the most vital things going on in the city’s nightlife - the picture in the artwork was taken in the backstage of one of those infamous, dark-room-equipped parties.
bleid remixed naive001’s togetherness by violet, and that dope rework made it to rroxymore’s bag (as heard at berghain) and was played on bbc radio 6, rinse fm and +++. the pair became friends, started bouncing ideas about production techniques, rap skills and the importance (or lack thereof) of the classics in dance music. making more music together happened naturally.
naive002 feels like a continuation of naive’s first release in some ways: the jungle-inspired chopped breaks, sonic synth work and oneiric pads are still there but gain a heavier, perhaps more somber tone at times, exploding into depth or ecstasy at others.

the long-awaited exos and ohm record will finally see the light of day this november on exos new label, x/oz. this is the second release from the label and also the first exos and ohm ep in 16 years. exos and ohm are old friends and long-term collaborators having released on the legendary force inc. label as well as thule records. the pair met in reykjavik in 1997 and played together in clubs together such as thomsen and tunglid, both historical cornerstone in the icelandic club scene. soon after that they started making music together. this release, frodari, marks their fourth collaboration and is a sort of sequel to the 2001 thule records record paint me up. the records share the track frodi which has been remastered for this 2017 release
