first up is 92, a straight up jacking deep house number with, as the title suggests, a retro flavour. the deep repetitive pads are jacked up with amen break style drums that were used so widely in electronic music back in the 90s. some quirky synth lines and vocal licks here and there give the track its touch of soul and then a fat bass line to bring in the bottom end. high quality simple yet effective house music...

if you have been following graeme clark in his solo disguise as the revenge or the stream of 6th borough project 12-inches leading up to this one, you should know what to expect here�deep, blissfully hypnotic sampledelia with track flows governed by the laws of extreme repetition. its a shame that trance means a particular subgenre of electronic music, because that term applies just as much to the effects of these tracks as anything tiësto has ever played.
