2017 repress on black vinyl incoming!
techno stars collide as truncate and slam come together for the latest gynoid release “drum trax”. side a sees truncate return on the label with 2 original pieces in model 2 and the title track, “drum trax”. both dipped in that truncate signature floor driven minimalist funk and backed with tough percussion for drive. these are surefire dj faves waiting to happen. the flip side sees slam remix “model 2”, not once but twice. the slam remix charts darker and brooding territory, taking you deep into the rabbit hole. then the tenebris dub remix still maintains that mood, but shifts through the energy gears to develop into a dance floor bomb.
italian artist d-leria makes his first appearance on sydney techno label gynoid audio with a solid 6-track ep - swarm/pressure, along with top quality remixes by charlton and vsk.

the 20th edition of the gynoid ltd series sees coeter, ixel and jeff rushin join forces to bring the heat. on the a side coeter delivers two club certainties by way of static and rain . on the flip ixel remixes rain taking it deeper into the morning, whilst jeff rushin remixes title track static into an industrial tinged stomper.
the master of swedish techno-funk, mattias fridell is here to open up the 7th installment of gynoid reprise with his trademark jackin grooves on the appropriate stimuli . sharing the a-side with him is advanced human with an acidic techno-trance-ambient journey into the labyrinth , a track inspired by the famous festival taking place once a year in the beautiful nature of japan. on the flip-side our berlin girl mary velo provides a raw, atmospheric techno trip into her mind games and to finish off in style melbourne maestro craig mcwhinney remixes i ll never be king , giving it a more current sound and teases out the dub influences.
this new double aa sided 12- in the gynoid limited series sees two heavy hitting originals by the rising star of dutch techno - doka, and gynoid regular, ground loop from melbourne. both tracks receive complimentary remix treatments, with mørbeck performing a raw techno workout of doka s original, while on the flip-side, ground loop s track gets a deep and dubby signature remix by advanced human.
this is easily one of the best in the series so far with the a-side featuring original tracks by advanced human, and mattias fridell, while the flip-side has an original from rraph, and a killer kwartz remix.
gynoid audio maintains it s ltd series with a new split ep containing much character, coarse-grained attitude, thrilling sequences and delightful soul. on one side we have the follow up of the -procurators- by mattias fridell, exquisitely paired with a mechanically grooving remix by tomohiko sagae. turning the plate reveals the minimalistic and focused purist techno cut by future 16, the -filaments pt4-. who else would be better suited to put a soulful and zealous twist on the latter than zadig obviously no one. hopefully you ll enjoy this package of music as much as we did assembling it!
the a1 was never a big surprise. mattias fridell s consumed for profit was one of the tracks of the year, and surely fridell s personal best track, and was played by anyone who at least plays a bit of techno in their sets. the usual fridell quality of standard and a tight synth line! a2 sees french artist electric rescue s quarries in the a. mochi remix. a peak-time banger, slapping the synth stabs right into your face. this one always gets the floor jumping. the b-side kicks off with label-head advance human s pure , stripping things down to some essential moody but slamming techno, right up there amongst his best productions. b2 has +platform s mosses closing things off, and as we came to know and love from +platform, it s out there, dubby and dreamy techno, born for those deeper berghainesque floors.
the opening track on this double sided gynltd series comes from hironori takahashi. speclaz displays sharp panned cymbals and sonics, underpinned by a pulsey rhythm and modulated organesque synths. the takaaki itoh remix is a deeper and more moody affair, albeit with a similar syncopated rhythm structure and some tasty modulated acidic synth stabs with filtered atmospherics. on the flip-side, myk derill s crossroads takes a turn for a more broken industrial rhythm with looped vocal chants holding it all together before breaking down into a washed out synth breakdown, then returning to the pre-emnent fat rhythm and vocalised stabs. finally track 4 sees philippe petit remix, with the artist opting for a very stripped back 4-4 hi-hats/percussive workout underpinning minimalistic modulated synth and gentle bassy offsets. the most tooled-up track of this ep.

gynoid audio, one of the few female labels around, started her course in 2010. she s now one of the most prolific labels when it comes to a variety of functional techno, with focus on drive, mood, dirt and depth. the amount of well-established veterans (both old and new) who released or remixed for the label, or newcomers who saw their career start on gynoid, is impressive. it also describes why its one of the most charted labels in it s field of operation. to celebrate the mains series 100th release and the continuance of the label we decided to preset a massive va compilation spanning over three releases. here is a limited green vinyl of the second volume from the 100th compilation, featuring brand new tracks by audio injection, black hats, mattias fridell, rraph.
gynoid ltd does it again! this time its a track produced exclusively on analogue gear by coeter one, and a relentless myk derill remix, who seems to turn everything into solid gold lately.the original 72 is all about the groove.
after a long break in the vinyl department and a run of strictly limited pressings by the gynoid limited outfit, its time to introduce a new release on the main gynoid audio label. truncate is up on gynoid 12 with his track 31, incl. remixes by dj hyperactive, jonas kopp, advanced human & black hats.
pvs is on a roll of lately. with some blasting releases under his belt, he now returns to gynoid audio, where he again delivers a wicked track especially made for their gynoid audio limited series. as the title suggests, its a very hypnotic affair.

edition six in the gynoid audio limited series presents two scandinavian veteran producers, mattias fridell & samuli kemppi. the scandinavian vibe is immediate manifest with its melancholy & deepness, along with almost philosophic vibes packed in a rusty, mechanical suit
dave tarrida, a man who needs no introductions, joins forces with gynoid audio once again for the damage ep. the original brings us funk driven bass lines pushing and pulling under haunting bell like stabs, all with a twist of daves special blend of glitch. on the remixes we have funk d void, beroshima and angel alanis.
supported by markus suckut, bas mooy, chris liebing, advanced human, speedy j, dave clarke, shin nishimura & many more !
the advanced human - >air< ep is the latest deep offering from gynoid audio. rich with dub chords, atmosphere and reflection it is truly a celebration of living.....and breathing. the original offers up rolling dub keys surrounded by intricate percussion and a drive aimed at the dance floor. the ground loop remix finds itself rich with space and atmosphere while still lending from the dub influence of the original. markus suckut brings to the table a hypnotic dub influenced version to die for, all pushed a long nicely by a fat, low slung bassline and held in tension by the comings and goings of timely atmospherics. the raiz boys, as expected, move things back in a peak time direction by stepping up the rolling dub chords and putting the funk in the percussion. air. breathe. enjoy.
supported by: james ruskin, par grindvik, pfirter, ben sims, dustin zahn, nihad tule (drumcode), donor, audio injection, pacou, patrick lindsey, 88uw, mattias fridell and various others.
ground loops ampersand (i) is a release exploring contemporary techno by some of technos best contemporaries. the original fuses old school ideals with modern production techniques to create a floor friendly, groove oriented track that manages to maintain a sense of purpose and emotion. on remix duties are lucy (stroboscopic artefacts) who produces a seminal remix taking on the atmospherics of the original and building upon that to create a space and tension we have all come to know and love of his productions. samuli kemppi (ostgut ton, mote-evolver) who delivers a deep slice of dubby detroit influenced funk, perfect for that back room set and once again ignites the sound of that transatlantic relationship. the final remix comes from advanced human (aka. dj hi-shock), who instead focuses on the energy and emotion of the original and twists it into peak time material. already spun and fully supported by luke slater, james ruskin, donor/truss, damon wild, tommy four seven, audio injection, markus suckut, chris finke, go hiyama or raiz to name a few.
chris finke (flux/atomic jam) delivers the dance floor goods with his fresh 12inch release on gynoid audio moofish. the original sees big room production fused with an acid like riff aimed at melting minds and moving feet. on remix duties are none other than mark broom, whos pulsing remix takes things deeper, dj hi-shock and his hypnotic re-interpretation and go hiyama moves away from the usual >4 on the floor< to deliver an atmospheric, broken beat, idm influenced mix. supported already by the likes of: luke slater, xhin, drumcell, tommy four seven, wehbba, audio injection, chris liebing, gary beck, gayle san, markus suckut, tom hades, and more!
virgil enzinger - shadow of the mind ep on gynoid audio is a release of balance.on either side you have absolute gems that either tick the >big, crisp< production boxes and/or the >gritty, funky< boxes. no matter what the occasion calls for, what a tool to have. to be in the shadow of virgil enzingers mind, from a production standpoint, is nothing to be ashamed of but these 3 remixes (to accompany the original) all step out of the shadows to share the limelight with virgil equally. balance!
so when elektrax got together with bergens label if? to create a new vinyl release of remixes of the sublime little nobody track >metropolis how?< - as the debut showing for our brand new side-label gynoid - we couldnt think of two better practitioners to suit the moment... along with, of course, another canny remixer in the guise of elektraxs main-man, dj hi-shock.
