creme organization s latest missive comes from fabio monesi, an italian with a gritty house sound that is aimed squarely at the club. he s served up punchy beats on labels like russian torrent versions as well as his own wilson records before now and has a simple but effective sound. riot kicks us off with rock slid kicks and lithe synth stabs fleshing out the macho groove. clever vocal samples bring some steaminess and ensure this one will do plenty of damage on the floor. last friday is a raw and lo-fi affair with rattling, sharp edged hits and hissing synths all softened with jazzy chords. house drums and rolling bass prop it up in groovy fashion, then reduction is a frazzled brew of spiting hits, jerking machine grooves and busted frequencies that is as raw and tough as you like. last of all, the excellent ozyork rounds us out with punchy drum programming, intoxicating and off kilter chords and brain frying sonic imperfections that are perfectly imperfect. add in a deep acid line and you have a surefire house bomb with real meat in its bones.

social experiment regular jonathan lee is back with a standout fourth release for the imprint. here he delivers four driving club cuts aimed squarely at the dance floor and once again showcases his intimately production style to perfect effect. the raw grooves that are the trademark of jonathan s sound are on show once again, but there is a subtle evolution as this exciting producer’s sonic palette just gets better and better. don t sleep on this.

for the past four years francesco leali kept busy running parachute alongside co-owners manfredi romano and thomas feriero, producing under different monikers and touring the globe as half of cw/a. finally back as clockwork, leali reveals a five track ep featuring some of his rugged music to date. a briery shift into foggier territories where leali explores layered sound-design and broken rhythms, something he had only hinted in his previous work. online entity depicts lealis hindrance with modern societys social networking obsession. in contrast to what these services were actually intended for, leali explains, they seem to have impacted a lot of people negatively, resulting in unnecessary resentments, misinformation and feelings of proximity when these tools can easily alienate you from reality. constantly worrying about how you want people to perceive you is absurd already, but for many of us this constant sharing has become the only way to achieve happiness, to be satisfied. in an era where all of this is getting out of hand its essential to remind yourself of the things that truly shape you as an individual. with online entity i aimed for feelings of release, mutating resentments into something positive - more physical. i imagined it as a soundtrack to an escape from these very situations. the release showcases this approach with five club-ready numbers filled with calculated, pounding drums and gloomy atmospheres, with only rare glimpses of hope scattered throughout. to round things up we mobilised fellow parachute affiliate ayarcana and serbian techno pro lag who both deliver two startling interpretations of escape sequence and rumination.

new years deal - let recordings boss jp enfant returns to his own label for a third solo ep. the dutchman, who is a resident at de school in amsterdam, mixes up techno, breakbeat, ambient, dub and house into his own long and all consuming tracks, and on his latest ep he does that once more. spacious and elastic grooves aimed at the body and the floor. once again, this versatile and robust offering from jp enfant is another standout release on the young label

holic trax off shoot monoklo hits a third firing release now with a new ep from verrina & ventura. verrina & ventura are an italian pair who make fresh house and techno sounds and run the all inn, only 300 and howl labels. they are busy people who put out a lot of music and here serve up some brilliantly unhinged sounds for this darker, more club focussed series. up first, metaluna is a freaky track with shimmering voices and prickly, ticking percussion all underpinned by warm belches of sub-bass. it s a late night cut with plenty of unhinged atmosphere in its glitchy grooves. ork is less kinetic and more settled in a bulky, heavyweight groove. scraping perc and icy hi hats bristle and brim as muted synth stabs bring some colour and soul to the party. the deep and delicious dhrawn has big techno hi hats and more glitching, patchy machine sounds all run through with warming chords. trilling vocals go off in the distance and the whole thing manages to be emotive and human as well as devastatingly direct and dancefloor orientated. last of all, nihil is another visceral track with industrial synths, scurrying bass and sliding drums that makes you want to jerk your body. this is a brilliantly off balance ep full of arresting and inventive grooves aimed squarely at the floor

following the first chapter of andy mac sdiving birdseries, idle hands welcomes italian producer piezo into the fold with an ep that harks back to the smoky, dubwise ambience of some of the label s earliest releases. luca mucci was a bristol resident for a few years before returning to his native milan, carving out an identity for his piezo alias with a slew of dubstep-focused eps on labels such as artikal music and subaltern. while on an idle hands skirmish stateside and playing on ny radio, one of the kelly twins dropped lume and remarked on how idle it sounded, sparking the process that led to this record. you can sense a link the early kowton records on ep opener opeq, all monochromatic textures and taut, slow-stalking rhythms, but here those facets are interspersed with a unique melodic elegance that offsets the moody immersion of the track, eventually blooming out into an effervescent slice of slow-motion house music. novemiluano meanwhile displays muccis capabilities in handling broken beats, exercising a devastating restraint without compromising on presence or energy in crafting a stunning piece of meditative soundsystem music. pushing that foundational dub principle of space and minimalism even further, lume closes the record out in stunning style with an intimate, glacial stepper that champions minute detail as much as looming gaps in the sound. with a peppering of micro sampling atop a deathly bassweight march, its a finely pointed arrow aimed right at the heart of idle hands, and we couldn t be happier to be releasing it.

flumo s first vinyl offering for 2017 sees chocky returning with three original signature tracks along with a remix from true craftsman orlando voorn. higher synth, the first cut on the record rolls out the instantly recognizable chocky sound to full effect. looped chords set the rhythm in motion & the vocal sample provides just enough variety within the track to mix things up and keep you moving. orlando voorn s take on higher synth enhances the weight and heaviness of the original, the wooden bass kick and crisp synth layers provide a refreshing satisfying take on things. the flip side contains two tracks, first of which is seek deep, a track that similarly maintains chocky s signature vibe whilst also paying homage to deeper, classic house tracks with a spoken word vocal.. this track was first made available on flumo s unreleased highlights volume 4 compilation, and it now sees an anticipated vinyl release. closing off the package is chocky s brush away, a track delving into the hypnotic sphere, where field-recorded vocals and trumpet lines create a late night groove aimed straight at the dancefloor. chocky returns to the label and he delivers.

one half of laszlo dancehall with leon vynehall, christian piers returns to duskys 17 steps with three tracks of machine driven music aimed at the dancefloor. leading with the heavyweight techno of detachment, the package also includes the dark mechanical rhythms of expanse and drum workout strain, as well as trevinos stripped back dub techno interpretation of detachment.

this is the fourth ep the paris legends dan ghenacia and chris carrier have made together over the last year, and it’s just as fresh as their previous efforts with plenty of bounce, depth and funk. first up on the a-side is ‘the blue grass’, a deeply sensual cut with a potent low end. therein lies the groove, which is utterly captivating – made to get you writhing with glee, this one is aimed straight at the hips. alongside that sleazy bassline we have jazzy notes, swinging percussion and otherworldly bleeps and chirps. all of which makes it a great intro to this sterling ep. on the flip side, we have ‘blue stick’, another ridiculously groovy riddim with warped voices floating above a set of crispy beats and a raw undercurrent of emotion. minimal in composition, and the effect is deadly. lastly, to close out the three-tracker, it’s ‘kind of blues’ (can you spot the theme here?!). when it starts off, this one is a stomper with a moody expression. the beats are hefty, the bass morose and the analogue effects strangely cosmic. more twisted vocals are filtered in the background, giving this one its weird hook. the vocal reveals itself in the breakdown midway through before the track bounds on to its finale. dan ghenacia and chris carrier deliver three firebombs, perfect dance floor material with tight grooves and killer production. would you expect anything less?! go get em…

with the warmth of spring yet to bloom in full, the cold distant sun still reaches planet sundae, casting shadows upon tomorrow. as al kassian s encrusted diamonds on jupiter is still in orbit from last year, planet sundae takes a step into 2017 with a debut release from a far eastern constellation. we are proud to present you, dear reader, with the first part of a double dipped ep by opal sunn. these selected works by hiroaki oba and al kassian were recorded between 2015-16 in berlin, aimed squarely at that rift between the stark light of the everyday and the flurry of the dance floor.

this release - a collaboration between ali x (alphonse from azari & iii) and mexicos theus mago - turns the heat up all the way to on and just leaves it there. the lyrical content of the title track would lead many to use descriptors like sexy, sleazy, and steamy like you wouldnt even believe, and while the music also bears that out its important to remember not to stigmatize something that almost everyone does at least a couple of times a week. vision, meanwhile, offers the perfect b-side accompaniment, a sci-fi techno workout where you dont even have to think about sex if you dont want to. the ep features dub versions of both tracks for more stripped-down club sets aimed at people who understandably have problems with the sound of the human voice. it also includes a remix by curses, whom we recently bumped into (he says cornered) in berlin and asked if hed provide one of his trademark eerie downtempo excursions. long story short: he said yes.

luke sanger aka duke slammer has been a busy boy lately, from regular appearances at berlin s infamous panorama bar, to composing game soundtracks for ubisoft. in this installment luke dons his slammer hat for a holiday inspired selection aimed at the dance floor. pack the picnic: box jams takes inspiration from the vast norfolk sky and coastline. slammer takes to his hardware to jam out a strain of melodic techno that bear resemblance to acts like dmx krew and larry heard.

joy, ease, lightness is a 4 track ep aimed squarely at the dancefloor, but with a meditative awareness that reaches far beyond the club. fans of seven davis jr, steve spacek et al, watch out - there’s a new man in town: and he goes by the name of dan kye. yet another stellar release from the rhythm section international crew - undoubtedly the label to watch in 2016.

rfbcolours 004 is aimed at the dark, jazzy smokey affairs. from the off u can see the imspiration fro the ep title with the a1 track from sombro and embezzlement society capturing a low end, horn sampled groover with rough claps and an undeniable groove. georgi barrel delivers again with something that will warm up the coldest clubs or capyure you on sunset terraces. long island sound hit the pianos hard on the slower paced but equally as grabbing and tense -grit-. label owner jamie trench rounds off with night lanterns which is a track thats been waiting for a space on wax for a good few years now and fits beautifully with the rest of the ep.

alek s offers up another dose of pensive techno vibes in his “paradise lost” ep. side a opens up with “bold”, a slice of laid back while still pounding techno, boasting zippy synths with an unmistakable analog flavour. it’s closely followed by andres zacco’s rework of “honey wheat”, an apt reconstruction of the original that’s aimed squarely at the dancefloor. the argentinian producer and recent ilian tape alumni dives in with a powerful groove, cutting its way through a suspended atmosphere full of spaced out sounds. over on the b-side we’re greeted with “paradise lost”, a slow-paced melody that gradually shifts into a dreamy groove filled with spaced out drums and abstract delays. last but not least, the original version of “honey wheat” is a somewhat atmospheric, yet functional floor warmer that fits a resigned groove.

zefzeed was chosen to be the first artist to release at arria, certifying his multi-dimensional artistic vision. porto deporta takes over side a with a deep bass motif propelling forward – everything clicks into place, making this piece a high definition 3d madness. soy sausage continues the journey with a stylish swagger and an irresistible groove, dotted with a chamber of indecipherable voice delays, while bright synths float across the driving beat. side b is spinning koo, a track that combines functionality with musical playfulness, tumbling percussion and clouds of textures, while drawing on the kinetic energy. though his tunes are aimed squarely at clubs, they’re detailed, spacious and hypnotic too, a rare blend that make arria-001 a slick dancefloor machine.

a boogie classic from 81 on the legendary sam label out of new york city! k.i.d. is the production pseudonym of british library record stalwart and munich machine member geoff bastow. bastow s career has been an extremely colourful one seeing him work with various artists including amanda lear, elton john, donna summer and la bionda amongst many others. -hupendi muziki wangu?- is swahili for -you don t like my music?- and the track has long been a classic with underground disco/boogie aficionados for many years and has been a staple in the record bags of many legendary jocks since it s release 35+ years ago. on the flipside we are treated to -it s hot-, another sleek cut of early 80 s boogie perfection aimed squarely at the dancers. truthfully though, the a-side steals here the show here, take a listen - you ll see what we mean! reissued in conjunction with sam records, new york city. fully remastered with all original 1981 label artwork intact. file under - *essential disco*

yet more italians on optimo trax! jose manuel delivers 4 unique exotic, fourth world, tribal slabs of ritual music. a1, the great beast in outer space is actually an andrew liles track that jose has completely reworked and sprinkled his magick on. mr. liles is one of my favourite producers in the world, both for his solo work and for his input into my all time heroes nurse with wound. for those who know his work, having something by him that will work on a dancefloor may bring a smile to your face. thankfully i know him a bit and he was more than happy to grant permission for this to be released. a2, folklore is fourth world exotica reimagined for late night dance rites. aa1, ritual, is exactly what the title says it is. aa2, sisi leaves the dance floor completely and even though optimo trax is 100% aimed at djs, was simply too lovely to leave off.

three long years after it last graced our ears, the parallel series is back with a new pair of well-established producers. this fifth edition sees sev dah and jeff rushin take on a side each, the result being four expertly crafted pieces oftechno aimed straight for early mornings on darker dance floors

vakant comes back with a very special release from an unknown group of creative entities. three cuts of tribal space techno weaponry aimed at the dancefloor. we have received a message from entities lost in between the stars in the vacuum of interstellar space. the transmission was encrypted in an ancient code we were able to translated into frequencies understandable to earthlings. a psychic telegram has been sent to us, activating the body and the mind, divided into aggregations of codes that form three tracks of straight in your face, high-octane fueled, acidic tribal techno, riding on solid bass lines, trippy synths, shiny percussions and abstract ambiences.

one of stockholm’s best-kept secrets is now out of the closet. with no information on the artist, what we get is two rumbling techno tracks with a cause. “grounded theory” builds on a ground loop layered with a bellish sequence, percussion and stabby hits. “furious dub” is a dubby take, made up by filtered chords and a bassline with an offbeat lfo. both tracks are aimed to make you move. it’s your body, you decide!

while focusing on his side projects admx-71 and traversable wormhole the past two years, the pioneering forefather of the industrial techno groove adam x returns on sonic groove records with an extended player entitled “bedeviled”. adam mixes a recipe of rhythmic noise industrial, classic rave and post contemporary techno rolled across three songs. creating the perfect mix of sound and rhythm aimed to torment dancefloors into submission during the peak hours of the night.

nino delivers his first well-deserved solo ep on batti batti. originally from bosnia, but based in brussels (belgium), nino s tracks have always been a perfect representation of a purely deep underground sound. starting off with a soothing piece of ambience to set the mood , odysseia ep is aimed for club use and hence depicts ninos evolving style yet maintaining his secretive and atmospheric element as a common factor.

following up from his critically acclaimed industrial flecked debut album on skudge white, bristol’s october comes correct with a new series of 10” records, each featuring under-polished no frills club cuts aimed straight at the floor, rough enough to strip paint from the walls.

cannataci records - a new record label run by ripperton & agnès cannataci records is a joint venture hosted by ripperton and agnès. the label is aimed at releasing rather unclassified music, pieces our friends compose or simply ourselves. the aim is at releasing music we believe make things go beyond the usual paths. the label name is a reference to our hopes in the newly appointed un special rapporteur on privacy, namely, joseph cannataci. frankly, we do not want to taint our music with politics, although we are simply firm endorsers of our own privacy and think everybody else should.

aus music bring a summer of firsts to a close as they follow up records from the newly collared recloose, trevino and paul woolford with another new addition to the team: tom trago. the rush hour regular joins the ranks with being broke - a bright and groovy four-track aimed straight at the dance floor of this seasons closing festivals. the a side offers up an original and dub version of the title track - a bumping house groove built with playful vocal samples and nifty synth lines. on the flip are two version of good lies - the first rolling out over its elongated duration with sharp, galloping hats and free-flowing rhodes notes. tension begins to develop as the track steadily snowballs gathering vocal snips and a menacing bass line while the good christian edit offers up a lighter, more early-doors affair bringing a nicely rounded package to a close.

bound to forget by the models deliver three live cuts of raw analog acid house flavoured jams infused with minimalist machine based experiments aimed both for the dance floor and for your living room. on top of that the dutch duo syncom data added their own euphoric and hypnotic dub remix based on motifs from all three tracks.

after a very promissory year as a digital label, is time to present the first vinyl release of kootz music. this is a very representative selecction of the sound of the label, between minimal and deep tech but always aimed to be extremely danceable. a limited release with no repress, so you don t miss this one!
