slow motion family proudly presents the rimshooters (massimiliano pagliara & rotciv). name comes from a special obsession for rim shot drum sounds, typically found on famous and legendary roland drum computers such as tr-808, 909, 707, which both of them had already used in their individual productions. the final result is a mixture of classic and vintage sounding tracks yet modern, through the use of old synthesizers and drum machines as well as software artifacts and techniques.

the legendary freakazoids return to the 808 to bring back their own slice of electro funk. the freakazoids is the brainchild of lee coombs, nick slater and lanx (later two both of shades of rhythm fame) who came together through their love of old skool electro funk and hip hop and released a string of underground records in the late nineties. after a ten year break and working on other projects the boys have decided to collaborate again and bring back the funk.

meet bwana. his tunes started racking up plays and conversations commenced with new music buddies xi, submerse and djd. a variety of different 130bpm sounds were toyed with from dubstep, garage, 2 step, 808 dubstep and his very own mashes of r&b-lead garage-step. it all seemed to work. a bunch of labels got in touch and tracks were signed to mad decent and montreal based infinite machine.

nice price deal !!! the 8th release on mindtrick records will be by the greek producer and sound engineer mobthrow. mobthrow just released his full length self titled debut album on adnoiseam and is now ready for his first 12inch release which will come out on the 5th of september. the 12inch brings a somewhat deeper feeling to the sound of mobthrow which is starting out with pitchblack on the a side. the 2nd track is flashback and is based in rewind mirror techniques (intro sample remains the same if you rewind it). heavy beats at 140 bpm. it is a story between dreams and reality, as the storyteller (mulholand drive sample) describes.
enter dubcore sets the tempo a little bit higher, balancing between dubstep/dnb. techy production approach (808.909 & tb303 used), born to spin in underground clubs at rush hour. also on the b side you will find a remix of pitch black which is made by german sound designer and composer hecq which kranks up the sound completely and make you slit your own wrists while listening to it!
overall this record is an excellent prove that dark sounding music can be very danceable!

the -makeovers- project is a compilation of some of claudes best re-twists, some of which are so far removed they can almost be considered original works. this special edition vinyl includes one of the most sought after remixes, -warpaint- originally by pocket 808 in australia, vonstroke turned this into a late night anthem in 2007. played by techno djs, dubstep djs, and everyone in between this track was never cut to vinyl until now. on the flip side claude remixed the nublu orchestra out of new york. he was never completely happy with the original version of the remix and hes gone back and re-made it into a very special piece of music including a new vocal sample from his wife aundy who also did the vocal effects in whos afraid of detroit? this collection was put together with the theme that a remix can be an inspiring starting point for an entirely new piece of music. these are two of the deeper and darker remixes but we think you agree they are also very special.
