after their hot contributions for treats vol. 2, session victim prove indeed that they are on the roll with a funkafied and no holds barred ep that pays homage to their hip-hop roots. move me so starts rather simply, with just a guitar and a vocal, but you can hear a moving bassline and distant rhodes chords creeping up from the background. two minutes into the track and theres still no kick drum, although the level of excitement produced by the magnetic groove is almost unbearable. a filtered drum break finally gives way to a four to the floor beat that should turn any dancefloor into a frenetic party. the track builds with high energy, as the pounding bassline seems to be directly lifted from an early 90s hip-hop classic. the breakdown sees the vocal/guitar loop being played differently until the second part shifts gear and brings more surprises in the mix with the intro rhodes chords coming in and out.

eklo 021 was the first 2x12 released on eklo by le loup. here are the remixes of 3 cuts out of it. brotherland, reverie feat. seuil and ghettos of the mind, respectively reworked by daze maxim, g. marcell and vadim svoboda, the latest addition to the eklo team. essential 12 inch.

iggor cavalera is best known for his part as the drummer of brazilian super-group sepultura. having toured heavily around the globe, winning several best drummer accolades and sold over 10 million records, iggors incredible ability to project emotion and evoke thought through his percussive talents is being given an outlet in the form of his exciting collaboration with his djane wife laima leyton, mixhell.

antigone is an artists coming from the depth paris producing and digging for several years now. the three tracks are a travel in to different style of techno with the intention to reach a certain emotion that is close from nostalgia and really deep feeling. the challenge of this work was to find a good balance between sound and colour, focusing on an old sci-­&#8208,,,fi landscape. with a really mature perception this young artist is developing his own sound, a detroit atmospheres, openly characterize this ep, but it remains antigone work at the end with all his sense of details and perception.

the multicultural artist arash (with persian origins) made his first contact with electronic dance music in the mid 90s. mainly influenced by the classic house sound of the 90s and the german electronic music scene around frankfurt, he found his passion to house & techno music. as a teenager he started to spin vinyl and got deeper & deeper into the world of dance music and club culture. after a few years of loving & living he started to host & play on his own parties in the region with his own touch and view of electronic dance music. this was followed by appearances in various clubs and off locations. his dj sets are made of a danceable mixture of groovy deephouse and techhouse. 2011 arash started to take his passion on the next level with shaping his own sound. since then he released tracks on record labels like kiara records (barcelona), bla bla (amsterdam), be real (amsterdam) and night drive music (berlin). arash is definitely an artist to keep a close eye and ear on!
