5 years ago i begun an awesome adventure called suara. after a few records the label started to be called the label of the cats. nowadays its one of the hottest new brands of the techno/house music industry. today we arrive to the release no.100, a very special one. thats why ive asked to some of my fav artists ever to remix southen instinct, one of my most popular records of the latest years. riva starr, vince watson and satoshi tomiie are on the controls of this kitty ship.

reacquainted with his soul after the galactic battle with the gatekeeper of hades, edmx and his craft bulb into view from hyperdrive. emerging from an imperfect stasis, the pilot lay slumped over the controls of his ship. beneath the glaze of his vizor his eyes looked milky white, opaque cataracts had almost sealed them. the craft was being pulled slowly toward sigma orionis on invisible magnetic currents. flurries of dust danced around the pilots window like fireflies. in the far distance the horse head nebulae dwarfs the tiny craft with its mountainous cosmic majesty.

jon mcmillion steps aboard the zoombezoom ship as it sets sail into a sea of dreams of future past. he gently weaves the sounds of jazz piano and disco organ loops with darkly glittering garlands of drum computer sequences and moody bass lines he journeys far to shine light onto deep emotions and inner beauty.

after 4 years of putting out various hit releases via thema, the mother ship, its first sub-label or satellite has come to be. we are proud to announce spacial! it will consist of various remix projects, outtakes and b-sides from the parent and digital labels this new realm will function as a showcase for some of the more esoteric creations from our ever expanding roster of artists. so for our first slab of black magic, we have lad from switzerland which is remixed by none other then mr. quenum for a peak time killah remake. to keep it deep we have monotron, a new comer from holland dropping a sensual builder that lacks no luster to muster you on the floor. on the flip side we gave the whole side to a remix by the man from the hills, mr. ernesto ferrerya remixing beaner of bar25. this monster takes us on some ill trippy ride into his private lil world of bass and organs. we feel this grouping is a nice crop of tracks to start off a new adventure, its all part of the bigger concept of developing a sound—a movement—an idea. remember though, this is only the beginning!

after almost a year hiatus the detroit grand pubahs are back with their detelefunk label. detelefunk being an abbreviation for detroit (det) electronic (ele) funk, they relaunch their imprint with a remixes series of some of their favourite producers remixing tracks from their last 3 albums. hence the title of the series being made up of words from all these album giving us the funtastic “buttfunkula and the remixes from earth”. this is the first of 2 volumes / eps that will offer new remixes, leading into a remix compilation featuring the finest remixes of the pubahs music from over the years. volume 1 sees the minimal originator himself, robert hood, take the reigns and remix the title track from the pubahs debut album >funk all y all<, while detroits underground resistance / interstellar fugitives dj 3000 takes one of paris the black fus first tracks >stalking you< (previously released on throw) and adds his albanian rhythms. finally, last but by no means least swedens samuel l session takes time out from producing for his own klap klap label to deliver this peak time dancefloor remix of the infamous >dr bootygrabber<. promising to take robert hood, dj 3000 and samuel l sessions on a galactic ass trip in their star ship was paris the black fu & the mysterious mr os way of getting them to do remixes. >now all i have to do is get them to deliver< comments paris from his secret lab >i do plan to bring them home after the remixes have been released. working with these artists has been a goal of ours for the past few years, and now that they ve been abducted may the funk be with all of us<

the ann aimees mission continues with the search for the mother ship not yet fulfilled, dribs is the newest scout on board. after doing twice a track on compilation cds, and too many other promises, this ep forms his real debut. dribs, on earth known as fredrik stling, comes four times with beautiful carefully crafted electronica. all tracks come in gentle and easy, and in sound come most close to lucky&easy, kettel or boards of canada. intruiging rhythms, but most of all beautiful, beautiful melodies. dribs is preparing his debut album later on this year. the full sleeve artwork for this release comes again by delta.inc, making these ann aimee releases collectibles on their own.

cynosure flag ship artist and label navigator mike shannon reaches into his archives and selects the much-anticipated “the box ep.” “the box is open” was always a highlight of many of mr.shannon’s dj sessions and live acts. this cut delivers nostalgic, old school of detroit, soulful, techno jack. a ton to digest there but there really is no other way to sum it up. adam marshall graces the ep with a stormer of a remix. taking things a step further, adam really explores a different use of the chords given to you in the original. a smooth kicking set of drums and ever elevating sequences of synth keep you on your toes never really knowing exactly when things will drop. definitely a production trait that adam is best known for and it never fails on the floor. howie mangel

after a very long break afrobutt is back! many will recall the wonderful moments he brought us with offerings on big bear and noid. this time afrobutt jumps ship to the bright young things at electric minds. afrobutts life has been dedicated to two things and they are disco and butts. he spent the last 15 years researching these two subjects so he could then report his findings to the rest of his tribe. the journey has been a long one, but on his travels afrobutt would make recordings and rearrange them in way that would not offend the rest of his tribe. heres a 3 track ep tacking from the full length cd, shimmering in their full disco glory no stone has been left unturned to reach his goal of providing sexy, dubby disco music that will have you butt shaking at home or on a disco friendly dance floor.

iron curtis pieces originate in a place simultaneously tuned to the sounds of detroit, chicago and hamburg. in his home town of nürnberg, johannes paluka is more familiarly known under his surname, which he goes by at the turntable. intertwining deep-house with soulful techno in a disturbingly enchanting manner, his sound moves in the equilibrium of reduced, but never minimal. flashes of kitsch brighten the dark universe of iron curtis, but fail to interfere with the melancholy subtext. profound music for the dance floor!
