TWO PLANETS EP
12 Inch 11.10.16
after a quick 4 years hiatus, filled with releases on innervisions, maeve and a couple of remixes, aera is finally back on his own aleph music imprint with 3 unique tracks. a1. two planets is the most obvious track of the ep. an exercise in outsider trance, a pulsating, polyrhythmic synth propels the track forward, the intricate 707 pattern keeps a steady pace, while background strings provide all the drama. b1. stylistically reminiscent of aeras first releases on aleph music, black glitz is the deepest track of the bunch. floating on a cloud of dreamy pads and voices, that arpeggio makes you realise immediately who you are dealing with. b2. maskull is a rather ambiguous little tune. somewhat rough around the edges, sparkling in the darkness of late nights, dwelling in voices and fog, this is the one for the heads.

THE REMIXES, MANO LE TOUGH, WASTED GAZE / AREA REMIX
12 Inch 24.04.12
aleph04 comes with three special reinterpretations of the labels first three eps. mano le tough is first in line. his remix of > flowers on fire< from aleph01 takes the originals colorful and spaced out vibes and puts them into a little more dancefloor friendly context, with a big 808 booming away and the swirls of the original synthline driving the track forward. mano has been a big supporter of the label right from the start and his releases on permanent vacation, buzzin fly or internasjonal have been turning heads quite a lot, so its an honour to have him on board. the second remix is by wasted gaze. this newcomer from vilnius / lithuania delivers an amazing version of >port hope< , taken from aleph02. a powerful, 2step / garage inspired beat sets the pace, while glowing pads, a super deep bass and enigmatic vocals take care of the rest. watch this guy, his untitled states ep on partyzanai is one of the most intersting and exciting records in a long time. the last track is a remix by aera aka m50 from chicago, who, quite fittingly, took care of this spaced out take on whats my name again? from aleph03. this one is for the heads, a special gem that will work magic in the early morning hours

CONTINENTAL DRIFT
12 Inch 27.09.10
>o god, i could be bounded in a nutshell, and count myself a king of infinite space< - shakespeare a1: >daidalus< redefines some of the ideas already put forth in aleph 01: dance music is not a prison. a2: >hoverboarding< is more of a concept which could not be put into words than an actual piece of music. an experiment in infrasonic structures. b1: >port hope< is not a place - it is a state of mind. b2: >week of fear< has no particular meaning. just the ramblings of some castaway on his desert island, waiting for a ship to come.
