the first release from naissance musik (nm) is a 12” vinyl from the super-group dream scoring (hear and hakim murphy) entitled images of a myth. it is comprised of 4 tracks. a myth is a legendary story that a community validates to explain part of its reality. however any member or group within the community can have his or her own version of the myth, and the myth can also evolve through time. we may all listen to the same track but this track still calls up intimate images for each and every one of us. a myth is full of adventure and mystery, it is epic and full of emotions. it can be anything from the lost ark to greek gods fighting. the aim is to fill our bodies and minds with emotions. the main idea is to tell stories like books or movies, but through musical notes & rhythm. the music makers provide the musical image, the listeners create the myth. and vice-versa.

yet more italians on optimo trax! jose manuel delivers 4 unique exotic, fourth world, tribal slabs of ritual music. a1, the great beast in outer space is actually an andrew liles track that jose has completely reworked and sprinkled his magick on. mr. liles is one of my favourite producers in the world, both for his solo work and for his input into my all time heroes nurse with wound. for those who know his work, having something by him that will work on a dancefloor may bring a smile to your face. thankfully i know him a bit and he was more than happy to grant permission for this to be released. a2, folklore is fourth world exotica reimagined for late night dance rites. aa1, ritual, is exactly what the title says it is. aa2, sisi leaves the dance floor completely and even though optimo trax is 100% aimed at djs, was simply too lovely to leave off.

slow futur was the name of the live soundtrack of zombie zombie for a juggling company. an add project that we decided to release some months ago, consisting in 4 tracks of 15 minutes. we were suprisingly sold out very quick. so we decided to give that record a longer life having some new mixes of one the track : hyperspace. tolouse low trax is all around the place at the moment. the amazing resident dj at salon des amareurs in dusseldorf provides a kind of sleazy remix here,that never really starts but subtlelly evolves while i:cube brings it in the dub territories, in a lush mood. enfin, gilb r provides a little reprise,putting the percussions in the front for a tropical effect.

*isigude (pronounced - e-see-goo-de... meaning bird of paradise) is a newly founded record label based in athens, greece. for our debut release we have dug deep into the archives of greek jazz fusion to unearth and reissue some obscurities from the catalogue of esteemed composer michalis rakintzis. rakintzis should need no introduction to greek ears, widely recognised as a celebrated composer and lyricist since the 1980s with his career taking in more than 20 personal albums, numerous singles and several high profile collaborations. his composition “arrest”, lifted from 1988 s ost to the film -lifelong- was selected and included on the hugely popular greek music compilation -into the light- in 2012. for isigude s first 12- vinyl release we draw our focus to the 1987 track “i don’t believe” featuring vocalist eleni dimou. -i don t believe- combines pop, rock and eastern melodies and feelings and sold more than 100.000 on it s original release. featured here in remixed form by up and coming greek producer zaq (a.k.a img_02) the original composition is reimagined and the result is a low tempo dreamy, balearic disco burner with dimou s lyrics expressing her disbelief in love, beautiful moments, oaths and sacrifices, with her requesting to be set free. a truly beautiful and tasteful reimagining of a lost rarity, the perfect way to launch the label.
