divine situation are, greg belson is a veteran dj and one of the premiere collectors of soul music worldwide. he s known as the go to authoritarian for gospel soul music, is the compiler of the divine disco series on cultures of soul and presents his radio broadcast divine chord gospel show on la s dublab.com creative hub. and paulo fulci is a dj and producer out of bristol uk. his work as part of the situation edit crew has been released and supported as part of the underground for many years….he now spends his days slangin records, whilst honing his disco scalpel skills in the late twilight hours. following on from their incendiary slab of two sided gospel goodness born again & soul revival , the divine situation duo have crafted the next lot of bangin spiritualized dancefloor destroyers for your record box. here we have an ep catering for several sides to your night. the lead off cut is the flat out roof raiser the problem solver …..then it s boogified territory with brand new feelin , before they close out with the end of nighter, try love . once again, moton bringin the heavyweight platters that matter!

over the years moton has become synonymous with releasing great quality edits from a range of amazing producers. their 43rd release is no different offering up two glorious edits ready made for the dancefloor. cuffari (make the world larger than me) on the a side is four and a half minutes of luscious, soulful, string laden goodness, entrancing you with those dreamy vocals. trust us, she s right when she says the melody echoes in my mind this one will be stuck in your head for days! flip it over and marcel vogel, under his em vee alias channels the happy-go-lucky nyc discotheque days through dancing (jumbo). with an all too infectious guitar and bass riff, coupled with cosmic synth pops and perfectly layered vocal chants its sure fire, peak time disco gold.

the next moton release comprises of three tracks carefully selected by love vinyls jake holloway. jake co-owns the second hand department in the store with the mighty zaf. he also is a graphic designer working for one of the world s most prestigious labels barely breaking even/bbe jake djs in around london with regular sets at brilliant corners, spiritland, servant jazz quarters and will be playing at the southern soul festival this summer in montenegro. when label bosses dave jarvis and diesel asked jake to choose the tracks for the release he soon got to work and come up with these three under the radar gems.. morning shunt is a ferocious afro/disco/reggae uptempo dancefloor bomb, hailing from london this fantastic genre crossing tune was ripe for an edit. jaques theme is another off-radar carib-disco banger which will appeal to both the disco and balearic heads. the bandit with it s tuff breaks and spanish guitar will also appeal to the balearic fraternity as well as the b-boys. so three tracks, all of which fall into differing genres making this a very different and varied sounding release!
