nice price deal !!! b-stock! cover with bent corner. concealed sounds are very proud to announce martinez fourth studio album, -o-pen-. it has been about four years since he released his -paradigm shift- on moon harbour, and during this time he been busy experimenting in his studio to come up with a very mature sound rooted in the musical output we ve seen lately on his 12- releases for concealed sounds as well as other labels. on -o-pen- the focus is not to make any concept around the tracks or the album itself, but just to have ten full compositions that each have their individuality and not necessarily is the same genre or style. you ll hear more melodies again and instruments, as well as analogue drum machines and modular synths that creates the soundscape of this album. a very organic album, including all sounds from the usual house & techno to more dub, ambient and even jazz influences. we are very excited to release this piece of work.

british powerhouse alan fitzpatrick returns to figure with his second ep on the label after 2009 s weed killer / science . since then its clear that alan has continued on a dedicated, valiant quest to find his own sound, and the results are on show here, with a heavyweight, emotive and futuristic techno three-tracker. like a warm rush of endorphins on the summer breeze, alan s rich up-building sound is perfectly represented in tracks like a subtle change , with its jubilant stab-led melody, or the modern club-weapon vibes of trigger finger . harking back to late 90s uk idm and proper dub-techno atmospheres, fitzpatrick then gracefully crafts a down-tempo, space-out version of a subtle change for the b-side, providing the afterhours sessioners with a new buzz-track.

first up on oslo based label radio lundberg is the solo project from frak and börft records boss jan svensson villa abo. known for his weird & wonderful analog electronics produced in studio styrka we can promise you a truly different e.p. villa abo first appeared in 1997 with the releases ticketiketas and tagetes on börft records and have forever since been two of radio lundbergs favorite swedish acid/techno records. so when mr. svensson offered us first pick of his new productions we couldt resist

now already almost a year has gone by since “inspiration”, the collaboration between jah wobble and singer pj higgins has come out on sonar kollektiv. with “chaingang (remixes)” we get a further renewal of one of the eight tracks off the album. for instance utrecht, netherlands based multi-instrumentalist and producer pitto gets down to work to morph the song into an eight-minute spheric techno extravaganza. some sort of a teaser for his upcoming album on sonar kollektiv later this year (although it will sound completely different). also releasing an album on sonar kollektiv in 2015 is producer marlow from weimar. his voodoo version of “chaingang” draws nearer to the original and incorporates the jubilee style gospel chanting to a hypnotically impelling rhythm. at the right time at the right place this remix will cause outmost frenzy on the dancefloor.

the imprint has come a long way since its launch in early 2011 with four years under its belt and a catalogue featuring reputable names such as huxley, dj w!ld, julian perez and east end dubs. here we see the label push on with a collaborative release from swiss producer dan noel, most notably known for his work on memoria recordings and little helpers, and germany s bunte bummler of cécille records / 8bit fame.

four years since they released dring, nôze are making a very welcome return to circus company with their fifth album come with us, and once again the pairing of nicolas sfintescu and ezechiel pailhes has yielded a collection of captivating and curious songs that could only come from the unique sound world they inhabit.

guy andrews first appeared on pennyroyals parent label hemlock with shades / textures in 2011, two cinematic and reflective uk techno tracks that earned him a loyal student fanbase. he returned to the wavering imprint in 2013 with the pounding tribal thumper resistivity and has since released an ep on leeds based techno label fina because his ex-manager thought it would be good to keep things moving. since then guy has been busy developing a unique career portfolio including composing for film and television, launching a niche specialist winter sports fashion line and lifestyle channel curl goth and more recently founding a peer-to-peer lending co-operative and crypto-currency for exchanging controversial facts surrounding the national trust.

electronic music approximately 35 years after bands like kraftwerk opened the magic box. a lot happened since then and it seems all is said, done and invented. however it is almost surprising that new things still pop up here and there when it comes to electronic music production.

it has been almost 2 years since our inaugural vinyl release, but after a long gestation period, the 2nd reaktivate vinyl ep is finally here, and we hope the wait was worth it. we certainly feel very proud of it and are aware of what it has to live up to, after having one of the tracks from rktv001 going as far as landing a slot in pangaeas fabriclive 73 mix-cd.

the third release on palms & charms comes from tokyo club stalwart masanori ikeda (mansfield, ikeda x), who has had previous releases on the legendary flower records and cos/mes imprint snaker. a resident dj at london club wag in the early 90 s, masanori returned to japan later in the decade and has since provided the soundtrack to many a tokyo night-time adventure, most recently with his continuing residency at shibuya institution oath. with afro tipsy, masanori offers up a monster of rolling percussion and pulsating synths. feel the stress of the day fall away, your veins flowing as if with the very energy of a thousand suns. moving confidently to the dance floor, your head and limbs begin to move in new and unexpected rhythms. don t be alarmed - you feel good. on the flipside, the remix from almunia (claremont 56) takes you deeper than deep. the sound envelops you as you enter the club. the continental winds and low pressure lift you aloft and you circulate around the dance floor, carried far as if on a warm jet stream. the rhythm drives, dubbed-out guitar echoing through the night. leonardo ceccanti and gianluca salvadori taking you to new places.

two dubbed techno wonders on a coloured 7 platter. lars fenin, born and raised in hamburg has been around the music scene in berlin since the mid 90ties as reggae guitarist/songwriter/live-act/artist/producer/dj. his first experiments in electronic music started in 1998 with some friends in hamburg, followed two years later by his first ep release called &#8243,,,,,herr pitzelberger dreht auf” for the berlin based label shitkatapult. since then fenin has released several eps and albums for his homies shitkatapult as well as 12&#8243,,,,,, s and remixes for labels like echocord, revolver, eintakt and mitek among others. along the years he could boast collaborations with artists such as deadbeat, mikael stavostrand, d-meteo, k.j. gibbs,horace andy, der dritte raum, eraldo bernocchi and jeff milligan. since 2008 he runs also his own label called dock-records. soundwise, fenins productions range from roots reggae/dub pieces to cordish/melodic techno sets and electronic alike soundscapes. the future is unwritten.

new yorks marcos cabral has not so quietly been creeping up on unsuspecting victims of modern electronic music through the last years. his project as chemotex for trilogy tapes singlehandly executed a type of out of sync shuffle jack not seen since the days or early rush or even cajual which have had floorboard pulling effects in clubs when dropped. download code included. tip!

out-of-print since 1994, this early release from the large music camp (on sub label swing street) has reached cult classic status and forced many a collector to seek out the few remaining rare copies available. much has been said recently about the production team of black ice, this release showcases the reasons why they are so highly praised and have been re-discovered as major influences in the chicago house sound. five tracks here that all feature raw and textured rhythms mixed perfectly with splashes of melody and soul.

anonymous is a regular tune in chris liebings sets across the world since summer 2014. the track has been selected by rebekah on her mind sets compilation on clr. anonymous is a subtle groove driven techno tune designed for the dancefloor. on the flip side of clr087 emerson takes us on a cinematic journey with his very own too many people talking (not enough information). a mesmerizing ambient tune that invites us to get into emersons universe. anonymous ep by emerson is surely one clr release not to be missed. its big! uk techno stalwart steve bicknells lost recordings series must be one of the longest running in dance music, the lost and cosmic founder has been putting out previous unheard material from his early 90s heyday on and off since 2004. there are few surprises on this 10th edition, but plenty of slamming, no-holds-barred grooves. the hissing, spacey, cymbal-heavy track 3 is particularly trippy, while theres a gnarled, ragged intensity about the pulsating heaviness of track 1. arguably best of all, though - ambient interlude track 2 aside - is track 4, an eerie techno shuffler built around a wonky, off-key electric piano loop and fizzing percussion.

brian mcnasby aka heights, and rob paine aka worship, are bringing their track, teach dem dub, back home to worship recordings. the dub version of the track was originally released on the portland based label zamzam sounds on 45 vinyl, and it immediately sold out. teach dem dub will be released both digitally and on vinyl by worship, and packaged with three new interpretations of the single. since its release back in january 2014, the single gained a plethora of notoriety and was reviewed on mixmag.com in the month of march. mixmag scored the track a 9 out of 10 and commended heights + worship on constructing a piece of deepness that hasnt been heard in ages.

boola is no stranger at all to the vinyl club team. he was amongst the very first customers of the former ibiza record shop that gave birth to vinyl club, and even if this is his first release on the imprint he contributed from the beginning to inspire the crew with his early productions that enlightened the golden days of dc10, some of them being released on the then new born arpiar label a bit less than a decade ago. joining the vinyl club agency in 2013, he is since then sharing the dj booth too with the team for endless sessions at cdv / berlin.

with iyewaye, the first solo-ep after the release of his fifth album i am ok last year, oliver koletzki shows himself in a new, but not altogether unfamiliar light: since his breakthrough in 2005 with der mückenschwarm koletzki hasnt sounded this hard. gone is the pop-angle, replaced by a dark sound-aesthetic and raw energy. but even here, in the techno realm, oliver koletzki demonstrates his inimitable sense for melody: thus, the gloomy and driving framework of iyewaye is lit up by a crystal-clear synth-sequence. similarly, ipuza, which hypnotizes by way of reduction and repetition, is funky in its core thanks to a rolling tribal groove. functional, but with heart and soul.

since the last record, the band have embraced creative opportunities, dave (drummer and producer) travelled to mali with damon albarns africa express, and dave and tommy (synthesizer operator) worked on the score for the royal shakespeare companys production of john websters bloodthirsty jacobean tragedy the white devil. dave established his own label, kick and clap, named after the club night he launched when he first moved to dalston and vinnie (singer and guitarist) and jim (bassist) collaborated with award-winning artist haroon mirza at stromboli arts festival last summer, at the foot of the islands volcano.
