surely with forward-looking ambitions, serbian fellow dejan milicevic drops his debut album trust and the purpose with style, non-compromisingly showing us how electronic music has no limits, only heart and soul is needed. he throws a good example how to gather different genres and styles into one great peace of art, one that certainly cant resist giving in without touching our heart.

in the psychedelic late sixties there was a lively music scene in the canterbury area that revolved around the band the wilde flowers. they never recorded much themselves, however, but after they disbanded other influential bands were formed from their ashes: gong, soft machine, and, most importantly, caravan.
caravans eponymous debut was released in 1968. it was considered a groundbreaking album capturing the freakish and exploratory moods of the times. their sound went much further than the changing styles of the contemporary underground and that is what distinguished caravan from other bands in their genre.

one of camel s bandmembers suggested doing an entire album based on a book. a number of books were eligible but the emotional appeal to the snow goose by paul gallico was so strong they started writing and recording a concept album that would portray their vision of the story. the result, the instrumental the snow goose, turned out to be their breakthrough.

in 1973 focus were at their peak! they simultaneously had two top 10 albums (focus 3 (movlp022) and moving waves (movlp023)) and two hitsingles (sylvia & hocus pocus). all of the musicians were voted as top 10 musicians in each of their categories. jan akkerman was voted worlds best guitarist. with a live reputation that proved focus lived up to these best musicians claims, the right thing to do was to release a live album: focus at the rainbow.
