nice price deal !!! wt records takes another expected turn by releasing a mini lp of new wave tracks from momentform. the first and most dj-able track, >momentform is fake<, spans the gap between new wave and house with 707 rhythmic patterns and raw, unedited bass lines. >selected works<, arguably the hit song on the lp, with its melancholic vocals and juno arpeggio has a way of finding its way into your brain and staying there. 6 tracks of excellent melodies and melancholy angst make this a great record for listening from start to finish.

a new phil release! exciting forward thinking techno/house from ron deacon. this is the 4th phil release in their trademark silver vinyl/silver label styling. phil 3 sounds like carl craig during his landcruising album period jammin with jean michel jarre, while someone is playing some jazzy keys in the corner of the studio. highly limited one time pressing (like all previous phil releases that all sold out fast, and despite the demand the label unfortunately doesnt want to do repressings to avoid pressure of aiming at high sales etc, and loose musical freedom).

the debut ep from mysterious parisian techno duo, kartei, starts off with the renaissance style >lichtgarten<. in its unreleased state, the 15th century style arpeggio and driving beat already turned heads with appearances on some legendary legowelt dj mixes. sure to be a hit. check!
but that is not all, you get more bang for your buck. the record continues on with a modern track reminiscent of >hot on the heels of love<, and the heavy kicked aquatic space styled >transponder<. and that is just the a side. the b side is big room convextion/basic channel style techno and a gentle come down ambient track. fresh, classic sounding techno from france.

this is a great track holgi gave to emerson during the last weeks and it truly is a hell of a tune, one of those you just hear once and remember ever since from then on,�. it has this warm crisp feel, nice chords and a monstrous groove that makes the good looking girls wanna go crazy. i am sure you want to have that one in your crate just in case,� the sound is slightly more referring to the minimal/tech house beginnings of the micro.fon labelsound but still it perfectely adds up to the labels profile. included are two high class remixes by tim xavier
