release number eight on london house maven george fitzgeralds manmakemusic label, the laszlo dancehall ep, connects two of the uks most exciting young producers: leon vynehall and christian piers. the sample driven crunch of vynehalls earlier productions on manmakemusic can be heard loud and clear complementing the canny but irresistible percussive and vocal shimmies of piers. aside track gave up, championed by george fitzgerald on his recent bbc essential mix for radio one, sets the pace and aims straight at the dancefloor with its strange sonic palette, at once euphoric and gritty. on the flip we get aint no time on which vynehall and piers give us their interpretation of classic house. the final track, manley harrison, is the strangest and arguably most original of the bunch and leaves the listener in no doubt as to why there is such a buzz about these two producers at the moment.

wonder & amazement is a record ive had in various forms and incarnations from ex chicken lips members steve kotey & andy meecham for about a year now – a song that immediately grabbed me from the very first moment i heard it. reminiscent of days gone by mixed with a touch of the new - a song that contains a mixture of both the old classic and the new classic. ive been championing it for a while now either in sets or charts, even including it on a recent compilation i did. a record that we are proud to be able to use as a soundtrack to this new era of classic.

returning after some time off, two dogs in a house took to a secluded studio in stockholm sweden during spring 2012 to record while on the road. here we have the result of uninhibited access to machines with no time constraints and no distractions from the outside world. this freedom allowed the duo to expand upon their ideas of deconstructing conventional song structure and harnessing the power of what immediately surrounded them in the moment. two full side tracks that will absolutely crush and/or isolate anyone who crosses through the sonic pathway of them. perfect sounds for the apocalyptic world we live in.
