for release no.4 sudden drop enlisted the talents of russian based recording artist & dj tripmastaz, who has been producing for the likes of morris audio and most noticeably dj sneaks magnetic recordings imprint since 2004. with each release his sound seems to get more defined and mature and our attention which seriously pricked when we first heard his tracks being played on jus-eds radio show. we quickly got in touch and asked for some tracks. first up is >utilized stock sounds<, originally produced in 2003 this melancholic slab of deep techno deservedly finally sees the light of day with a grimy lo-fi feel and enough dance floor nous to work the floor admirably. flip side track >botinko dub< injects a big, cavernous bass line and razor sharp hats n snares.

a great versatile release again where the label shows their fascination for forwrad thinking challenging dance tracks without forgetting that its dancetracks... some references can be made to early british idm, detroit techno or chicago deep house...but somehow these guys have a pretty unique sound so comparing wouldnt do them justice.

act re act: daaaaark is the typical expression used to define act re act. uplfting synths, spastic latin percussion, and a pummeling 808 bring some light for the harder moments.
ms. minnie: kitty ms. minnie, age 39, was caught saturday evening sneaking a 909 into the club and having her way with the hi-hats. she ripped it up in honor of larry heard before being forcefully removed by security. the whereabouts of said 909 are unknown.
the origin: a minimal bit of italo kit shoved through the hatch of a nasa shuttle (it was recorded in houston, tx after-all) and sent around several moons of several planets. what was discovered is only now being made available for public consumption.

every so often a new artist on the dumb unit roster steps up and bats one out of the park. case in point, our man from essen : tim querengaesser: aka pherox. the panthers walk ep is an expressive and bombastic ode to a night that goes boom! sultry lyrics voiced by tim himself and guest lee curtiss sit firmly over top of tims excellant and chugging under groove. the panthers walk is an exciting slab of music for any dj and one that will certainly bring pherox and his brand of funk into a more deserving light.

2010 was an incredible successful year for nosferatu, with no doubt the biggest highlight of them all, hosting his own area at trillogy 2010! as a tribute to this night he hit the studio with some of his good and well - known friends in the scene, which resulted into this wonderful 4 tracker on enzyme records. the tracks sick of it all (feat. evil activities) and hate on yourself (feat. the viper) can already be called real floor fillers.poop (feat. ruffneck) and hope dissolves (feat. outblast) have a more experimental character, but they definitely know how to bring movement to every dance floor around the globe!
