for this first release, we give you the opportunity to grab 4 fantastic trax done by legendary detroit producer : jason grove. born in detroit, he started his career in the late 80s, dj-ing in underground parties when the techno house movement was just at the beginning. he was invited few times on detroit local stations such as wdrq & wjlb to play. some said he was at that time very close to the >wizard<, helping producing their first tracks with anthony srock as final cut. he had many opportunities during the 90s to release some of his work on various prestigious labels, however, as the guy is really hardcore & straight edge, he prefered to continue producing only with analog gears (dont ever speak to him about a computer or hell get mad !) & record his work on cassette only, selling it to indie stores & giving it to friends for some special events (birthday, graduation ect ... !). we heard this story long times ago & it was only when we were in l.a. last year at pooh-bah record shop that we finally managed to get our hands on one of those tapes (one from june 1991 & the other one done in october 1992) with some of the best & incredible music we ve heard in years, it sounded like kerri chandler before kerri chandler did even start to release any tracks ! those first tapes are finally available after a hiatus of more than 15 years on vynil only (!)

next up in studio barnhus split coloured 10 inch series (the previous installment was acid andy and axel boman on yellow vinyl) is handsome newcomer hnny and barnhus very own desperado kornel kovacs. on the a side, hnny takes a saccharine rnb cover of perhaps the greatest power ballad ever and turns it into a perfect little edit – as simple as it is inspired, this is an obvious end-of-the-night-turn-the-lights-up-in-the-club-anthem if we ever heard one. on the logo side, kornel kovacs brings the heat with down since 92 - a bass-driven, vocal-laced pop house song about hate, love and jealousy. break it down! red vinyl, no digital - limited to 300 copies worldwide. barnhus bang the party once again! freshness.

nang powerhouse sare havlicek bursts back into the synth-scape once more with the first track from his second nang album. sare is a firm favourite here in nang towers and the mercurial, slovenian dynamo has hardly stopped for breath since his last releases on nang (a well deserved new masters comp, a co-mix credit on beach disco and also as part of the transatlantic disco alliance ep). to remix vibe on you nang have called in the talents of fellow adriatic funkster ilija rudman, who places his seal-of-authority on the sonics and gets brassed up. uk based head of bear funk stevie kotey pairs up with this lightning-fingered-keyboard neighbour manestar to create a cool cross between haddaway & ten city. sare contributes an instrumental and a slowed down, pitch-bent, 115 bpm version. his slyly retiled nothing you can do version jumps forward 4 years to 1985, sounding like a long lost stock-aitken and waterman extended 12 dance cut. stay tuned for sare album number 2 later in the year. weve heard it.. its a goodie.

with the snake, he or she and vibrant (the three tracks of this ep) mr no delivers a warm uplifting techno / electronic music full or energy.

in recent times it has been fashionable for european producers to try and recreate the classic sounds of detroit. the true vibe and feel can surely only come from the city itself? as his name suggests, whilst we know very little about anonym, we do know that he hails from the legendary motor city, and the true essence of his home town can be heard and felt in his music. classic sounds constructed with a modern touch. gritty, raw and crying out for sweaty basements. in 2011 anonym has finally arrived on vakant and is set to release his first record on the label. his > flivvers vol.1 ep< will be followed by vol.2 later this year.

the transition from hip hop dj to dance music producer is not always an easy one. it is a path littered with countless fitted caps, baggy jeans, and backpacks. yet throne of blood s oneauff has walked this path and emerged unscathed. originally from north carolina, this long time brooklyn resident is no stranger to tob, having released two singles with production partner eamon harkin (mister saturday night/subway series) as well as remixes for populette, corinne (on the prowl), and the neurotic drum band (wurst music co.). though oneauff (known to the government as steve raney) has also been heard a couple solo releases including a digital-only single on buzzard gulch and a remix for cubic zirconia (dont cry recordings), the heavy heady ep is his most fully realized and developed. it s also among the most gorgeous records throne of blood has ever released.

having launched blkrtz to wide spread critical acclaim with his album drawn and quartered in june this year, deadbeat now enlist the aid of two fellow berlin residents who need no introduction for remix duties. working with the source material from the first quarter, scuba dons his scb guise and turns in a slow burning sci-fi techno monster sure to appeal to fans of monolake and his own early work. rife with reverb drenched sonar pings and mechanized groans in the periphery, the track lurches toward its epic crescendo like an alien infested star ship nostromo sliding slowly to its demise into the center of a black hole. bringing things back up into the light on the flip, efdemin tranforms the fourth quarter (calas house) into a chugging deep pocket house journey. riding the cusp of a rubbery bassline and molding the chords into a timeless house organ motif, the originals dubwise leanings are heard loud and clear through a cloud of crackling unintelligible vocal samples and thunderous spring reverb crashes worthy of king tubby himself. without a doubt two floor ready reinterpretations and a great sign of things to come from deadbeats new curatorial ventur

panacustica’s fourth release is amongst cosmic metal mother’s finest work. “time is now” the track in question, defies definition by mastering a style on it’s own, by fusing elements echoing from prog-rock drenched with emotional content into an adult and contemporary way of delivering which is unique to the cmm writing style. the original is melancholic bliss. a vocal line at the center of the piece whispers words about oscar wilde and mr. death accompanied by a cello melody that grows bigger and bigger into an angelic cascade of notes. the track begins and ends in the most bare way with just a drum beat leaving you with the feeling you have just entered a loop where time is irrelevant. commodity place has the second cut of the a side. the duo from rome, known in the global underground of the vinyl tribes for their signature guitar style, chooses to call their mix “experience”, clearly paying homage to the gods of rock, delivering a guitar solo that will fire up your speakers and fill your eyes with the brightest psychedelic colors that we all so desperately need in this age of grey anonymity. the b-side is a full eight-minute mix by the man who needs no introduction and made us all dance since day one, larry heard, a.k.a. mr. fingers. his version is a fast “four to the floor” track, where a shaker drives the house beat into the melodic lines and voice borrowed from the original, making it one hundred per cent dance floor efficient with the modernity and mastery of his touch

if you have ever heard a crunching roland system 100 bass line ringing in your ears at 5.00am in the morning, there is a good chance that it has been written by andy meecham. whether as emperor machine, sir drew, chicken lips or even bizarre inc his music rolls and waves in incredible ways and sheds light on all the probable combinations of familiar sounds. morning banger is certainly a hot potato! upon the first listen you are hooked in with the slightly aggressive korg delta drawing you in. the track builds and builds into a crescendo of beautiful tension and before you know it your brain is eagerly awaiting the next step of the journey.

during a stay in munich anthony shake shakir heard a demo version of the song >hammering< and was so thrilled by it, that he decided he wanted to release it on his own label frictional.
striking about the 12-inch is the way it was done. the basement is the track >hammering<, a techno track that uses a sample of a work song from an historical recording dating from the 1930s. the swinging-souly voices are combined with a clear and funky beat that pushes you forward, and you wont forget the voice for a long time, even after the track has been listened to multiple times.after that anthony shake shakir created a remix that afterwards was again remixed by splits & slits.

there is a fantastic quality to gavin russoms work, an otherworldliness that is subtle yet palpable. its heard-or felt, more precisely-in all of his projects, including the crystal ark, black meteoric star and his numerous recordings with delia gonzalez. all of russoms sonic astral projections, with their textures and atmospheric layers, demonstrate his astounding production skills and modular wizardry. as dfas studio engineer, he was entrusted with the hefty task of maintaining the labels analog stockade. russom has built custom gear for the likes of james murphy, black dice and holy ghost!, has remixed artists including juan maclean, cut copy and caribou, and filled out the wonderful music of lcd soundsystem. so its no wonder that russoms newest solo outing, night sky, reflects the talent and experience accrued in all those roles with both stunning precision and audible clarity. add patience to the above list as well.

the success of >twist< released with yuksek aka peter in peter and the magician, which was heard in the playlists of some of the best djs around the world, has contributed to increase the magician reputation among djs and electro lovers…
the only thing we could hear from him until then were his magic tapes, available on soundcloud with no tracklisting so as to keep the mystery around them… there again, the concept has created so much excitement among music aficionados that the magician has already released thirteen of them!

manuel tur returns to delusions following his recent classic most of this moment on freerange and proceeds to throw another whacking great curveball for those who have think theyve got his game sussed. its quite safe to say the last year or so manuel has continued to push and redifne himself as a producer, refusing to stick to one sound or repeat himself which has resulted in some amazing releases aswell as some fruitful collaborations. recent remixes for permanent vacation, diynamic and dixons philomena label all display his deeper, left-of-centre and more techno-edged sound. here on delusions we have the (bi) polar opposite in the form of the foolin ep. the title track is a beautiful slice of soul-drenched house which goes for a classic sound with simple horn chords, rolling bass and incessant claps spicing up the groove. a simple vocal refrain is spun in like a dj drops an accapella and once heard this will be stuck in your head for days. a firm fireside favourite with all of us here at dog. theres also an instrumental version of foolin for those with vocalitis. flipping over we have the traveller which sees manuel head down slightly more familiar territory with a heavy, lo-slung groove providing the backdrop for some axelrod-style strings and horns, live bass and floating vocal adlibs. a subtley haunting soundtrack feel pervedes as the arrangement developes but the relentless driving beats make sure this track never strays far from the dancefloor.

john daly continues his search for the beauty on house music. his own one track records label delivers number 6. and its another stunning release with an amazing emotive house track in the vein of larry heard and some early chicago masters that been exploring the more fragile side of house music. john delivers tracks that are emotive yet strong and even some jacking vibes in it and a fierce bassline that keeps the pressure on. the chant comes in two parts and are among the most beautiful tracks we ve heard in a while... part 1 is the original version with full on vocal chants, where part two is a sort of dub mix with amazing melodies. another stunner by mr john daly.

killekills next release comes from snuff crew, a crew you might and should have heard about. snuff crews mission is to bring back the fun on the dancefloors worldwide. the masked duo is known for their jacking live shows that combine the raw energy of early chicago and acid house with a fresh and modern sound. rumour has it that they come from >somewhere in germany<, but their sounds draw a very heavy influence from the original acid house city of chicago alongside italo-disco and old school techno flavours. the use of old school roland boxes as sound sources and almost non existent use of even basic effects means their sound is rough, raw and aimed squarely at the dancefloor. their records have been released on labels like skylax, gigolo records, rush hour, playhouse and many more, but the two guys also run their own imprint called snuff trax where they release music of jackmates like kink and neville watson as well as their own tracks and collaborations with artists such as legendary robert owens. thats enough for now with the name dropping. killekill has got a lot of great exclusive material from the guys but decided to release only two very strong and distinctive tracks for now: domo on the one side is a proper acid monster that will go down on dancefloors worldwide like a hurricane and leave the dancers breathless. eat this on the other side is a rudimentary chicago jack track that might well have been taken off a dance mania record from 1992. this track is working its way with nothing but a few drum tracks and a vocal sample and is pure raw sexual energy.

stuart li aka basic soul unit (versatile, mathematics, ostgut ton) has delivered 4 new cuts of submerged bass excursions for nouveau kanada. all tracks sound distinctly raw and heavy, but with modern nods to uk bass and spatial elektro. stuarts deep appreciation of dusty house grooves shines through on all tracks - but his treatment of the lead cut >deep diving< pays homage to those dope dance mania b-sides of yore. for fans of kassem mosse, move d, adonis, larry heard, early ur, stl, edgy pearson sound or good brazilian jams from the 60s.

1 track each from area, hakim murphy, and murdoc, + bonus remix. the 2 on a lean more toward the stoner side, the b is all murdoc focusing more on the beats. the past year has seen area dropping solo records for francois ks wave music, anton zaps ethereal sound, and brendon moellers steadfast recordings. with songs described as >guaranteed to create a special mood in a club< (resident advisor) and >warm, shoegaze-dreamy but floor-ready pop< (little white earbuds), areas heady productions tread the line between functionality and abstraction. hakim is a producer/dj from the chicagoland area whos musical style ranges from house to techno. hakims journey begin as a dancer in chicago as a lot of his musical influences come from larry heard, robert armani, dance mania, relief, and cajual records. as a chicago footwork dancer, hakim gradually became inspired by the music and began playing records in 1996. since then hakim has ventured into production work and eventually founded two records labels in 2008: machining dreams, and synapsis records with avondale music society. hakims discography includes releases on metamorphic, planet detroit, and stolen kisses. murdoc is a dj/producer and current member of the condiment dj-collective, hosting events featuring the likes of acid circus, sammy dee (perlon), and mark henning.

hailing from the usa, boston ma, kon has been djing internationally alongside some of the worlds best djs as well as releasing several comps/edits on londons bbe label (kings of series/ off track vols 1-3 along with his vinyl collecting friend amir ) you may have heard his 1/2 hour multi-track remix mix for gilles peterson world wide show on bbc radio 1 a few months back … well here kon makes his debut dance release on the hands of time gold imprint. handling the production and arrangement, kon gives us the original version as well as a dub, pairing of samples and original music he utilizes a very clever 1 bar vocal sample from multi track stems as well as live session players (his gang) to get his vision across. with its punchy drums & warm, feel good vibes ... its a perfect affair for winding down this summer.

guy gerbers supplement facts imprint continues to drop the bombs, this time courtesy of brooklyn-based duo no regular play, with their searing package. >fall up to the sky< featuring the molten vocals of maya hatch and a blinding remix from life and death. the ep came about after label head guy gerber heard a recording of an nrp live set at an after party and was struck by one particular synth line, so much so that he contacted the pair shortly after to discuss a release. a prevailing musical connection on both sides made supplement facts the natural destination for.

three more disco throbbers courtesy of em vee aka marcel vogel and the always on-point lumberjacks in hell imprint. the entirety of the a-side is given over to jam >body heat<, a phat, james brown sampling slice of shoulder thrusting funk that you may have already heard in the more discerning discotheques across europe. wisely, the two b-side cuts offer something completely different, with the loose drums and squealing brass of gospel-sampling >the shouting< a perfect counterpoint to the uptempo disco-strut of >mouzon<.

new project by ripperton himself... tamed musiq. a no-nonsens label approach with some of his finest music! rippertons original is an emotive and intense track that we probably havent heard him do before! already one of our favorite ripperton tracks ever! comes with a skudge remix. we ll leave all the hyped limited bla bla out... these days everything on vinyl is limited!

a side >under< from evol intent featuring vocals from singer/song writer jackie b. this dubstep track is dark, sexy, melodic, and poppy, with a bass riff and drums that encourages you to urgently to hit the dance floor, and shake your ass. the vocals are sexy and consistent. she reminds me of esthero in how she can make underground production sound so polished. yet she can take you places emotionally because she makes intelligent choices her vocal tonality. the production is dark, and sounds like a eerie episode of a twin peaks score. you will be hearing lots more music from her really soon. she is also a great producer as well. (remember where you heard it first.) look out for more from evol intent, and jackie b in the near future.

deep purple: pioneers of hard rock and heavy metal. legends of rawk. it is about time music on vinyl gave them the start treatment. and we re starting with an album that was never before released on vinyl: purpendicular. the legendary band s 15th studio album was the first one they recorded with new guitarist steve morse, who pulled the band up to new heights and made this the most experimental deep purple album to date. there was more focus on the guitar, they used pinch harmonies, they sounded like they were having fun again, most famously so in vavoom: ted the mechanic based on a true story ian gillan once heard in a pub. the excellent riffs and awe-inspiring solos appear on two 180 grams audiophile vinyl lps, alongside the exclusive - and elusive - bonus track >dont hold your breath<.

for our 22nd release, we decided to bring you guys the producers cream of the cream! this warrior dance part i ep will feature 5 amazing cuts from the wonderfull new talent coming from italy : simoncino!
this italian producer has done some tracks on hotmix along with nicholas, joe drive & marcello napoletano, also an ep on mathematics (headed by jamal moss aka hieroglyphic being). heavily influenced by proto – house, mr fingers, mike dunn, joe lewis & all the legendary music that came from the chi-town first in the early 80s, these are some of the best tunes we have heard for years! house is back, definitely!

up next on kant recordings is the swedish producer pehr genlogue. from the moment we first heard the demo of >pincer movement<, we knew that the track was special. with its incredible sound of depth defying bass, pulsing synths and dramatic breaks, help it stand out from the crowd. on the remix front we have brought in some of the swedish techno elite.
agaric, who is frantically busy in the aftermath of his highly respected album on ovum, delivers and arena shattering remix. nima khak (drumcode/truesoul) takes the original on a more thought provoking, deeper journey. and to round out this release we have the swedish minimalistic masters, kretipleti, who twist things up and take it dark.

minimal wave is proud to present a full length lp by french mastermind philippe laurent. the lp is entitled hot-bip, a pseudonym laurent used throughout the 80s and 90s and also the title of his 1983 cassette on fraction studio. hot-bip features tracks recorded between 1979-1988, most of which have either remained unreleased or only previously appeared on scarce 80s experimental cassette compilations. laurents music can be described as spacey synthpop, containing much depth and range. it is edgy, political and pushes the limits, transforming his sound beyond one specific genre. hints of classical influences as well as electro influences can be heard. hot-bip showcases laurent’s best musical output from the 80s and includes some very avant-garde pieces from as early as 1979. a limited edition of 999 hand-numbered copies, this lp is pressed on 180 gram, translucent red vinyl and housed in a black and white matte printed heavyweight sleeve.

achim maerz makes his debut on fine art with a 5 track ep release. tracks that are upbeat & summerish with a classic groove! early chicago influences are obvious, but achim added a nice contemporary touch. kind of larry heard meets basic channel meets second wave detroit techno. comes with beautiful artwork!

hot from the press... the new dolly. basic soul unit delivers some amazing warm techno tracks that are among the best works we have heard from him! bsu delivers his personal blend from chicago house, detroit techno, uk post detroit techno and delivers some extremely nice tracks that will not only work on the dancefloor but will go on repeat in the car stero aswell! nowone less then shed is on remix duty here... one of the most talented producers walking around in berlin right now. his mix comes with a rough attitude taking it into a direction of some of the famous early uk producers like aphex twin and global communications. it has been a while that we have been this excited about a remix. raw, deep and challenging... just how we like it!

t got its debut last week on bbc radio1 and we are hearing it is going to get airplay on pete tong or annie macs show in the next couple of weeks. it is already getting support from luke fair, mark farina, danny krivit, francois k and about another 20 big hitters and lots of other radio play. we think it could be a summer anthem if it is heard in the right places

berlin imprint items & things reintroduced itself earlier this year with madatos epic ep speak of the she devil. now the labels trio of techno connoisseurs - marc houle, magda and troy pierce - entrust their imprint to italian up-and-comer danny benedettini. danny caught the production bug at an early age, and his taste for the old school can be heard in the throwback feel of tell me quietly. its a retro-tinged trip through modern dance floor sounds, with slickly executed beats and tight arrangements

after two re-releases of conrad schnitzler classics, (zug & ballet statique) now m=minimal releases a completely new work from the pioneer of electronic music. conrad schnitzler is a sound explorer. for many years, he has been on expeditions, journeys through his collection of electronic synthesizers almost every day. sounds he liked has been conserved on tape and stored in his sound library. the result is a huge library of audio files, he calls them >solen<. >borngräber & struever< have got the chance to examine that library and started to con-struct new pieces out of the hidden gems. these are not remixes but new compositions. none of the sound combinations were thought or heard before. the 8 tracks form an album independent of any trend and therefore it becomes a real acoustic environment for everyone. the album was produced at studio.wannsee. to give the album more authenticity, the complete audio processing was done using analog equipment. they not only used many classics among the finest synthesizers and outboard equipment, but also custom built tube gear. the icing on the cake are the tubes used from the 60s, which bought christian borngräber on a trip through the atacama desert in a small radio repair business in the city of calama. thanks to the desert climate even the packaging of the tubes looked as new

when approached to join forces in remixing the classic q-burns abstract message & lisa shaw track >this time< & rabbit in the moons >floori.d.a.<, q-bam + grumptronix decided to make some special mixes, thankfully ignoring all the new fads of the day. if you get anything out of this just let it be that these are not anything like the other mixes you have heard of these songs. try them - you will like them - and they will like you in return.

ok … the sad truth is we have been searching for this dat close to 6 years since rabbit in the moons david christophere and san diego native sotero finished the project. both mixes were done around winter 95 / 96. despite excitement around the label at the time, eventually the tracks fell to the wayside under the age-old excuse of >figuring out what to do with them<. meanwhile, knowing a good thing when he heard it, three made a dat copy and cut some actetates to play out. they made their way around a good portion of the earth via himself, some friends and one west coast dj who boldly vowed to just put it out on his own --- off the slate --- if we didnt get our act together. fortunately he didnt, but neither did we because both david and three misplaced the dat copies and sotero never had one!

we met fred ventura in 2006 over emails sent to italians do it better headquarters. he was one of the first people from europe to start writing the label prior to after darks release. it took us a few months to realize that this was fred ventura, the cult italo legend from milan. like a true gentleman, he had never bothered to mention it. since the early 1980s fred ventura has released numerous singles in europe & toured the world extensively as a solo artist. last year, johnny was in bologna on tour with desire & fred came out to the show to drink champagne & bring us some copies of the reissued tapes of fred’s early post punk group state of art. the lightbulb lit up & we asked him if he had any home recordings of his solo work. months later, he sent us 83 tracks of cassette recordings between 1982 & 1987. they had been sitting upstairs in a dusty box at his parents house in italy for the last 25 years. these tracks have only been heard by a handful of his closest friends. we were completely floored & honored! finding a beautiful treasure completely untouched & preserved is so rare. the songs are raw & honest written by a romantic with a love for an anthemic chorus & a drum machine running through his veins. think early minimal depeche mode with an italian heart. ornew order covering madonna produced moroder. yes, its that good. here we have the first official italians do it better release of these songs on a 4 song 12inch ep. this vinyl only release is a teaser for the >dont give up< 18 track lp out in a couple of months. so in the meantime, slip on those gucci loafers, rev up the alfa romeo and head down to the discotheque because life is too short

holy mackerel jakman, what in the hell is going on here?? ensuing mysteries as this mix rocks on at warp speed, scorching the rings of the cosmic onion to bake a sweet intergalactic omelet. strictly limited and vinyl only tribute release for the true headzzz ya dig? sizzling rework of one of the deepest house tracks ever, originally composed by larry heard aka mr. fingers. star trek version for sure!

ok we can do a long text here... but lets not do that.... fantastic track by recast (aka fluxion)! a blissed-out track that is lush and jazzy! the experience of years of precision crafting dubby tech soundscapes is brought to these tracks, which are grooving house vibes executed in the melodic but quirky manner of isolee or luomo. lorca music is on remix duty here and did a great job with a clattering, skittering groove that is somewhere between 2-step and brokenbeat, the result is heavy and provides a nice alternative to the two recast versions. this is pure techno as we like it... not the banging big room techno, but techno we know from pioneers such as derrick may, carl craig, john beltran, stefan robber and the likes. no shit... this is just one of the most beautiful records we ve heard in a while.

hallucination limited delivers a limited edition vinyl only release from none other than fellow new yorker… zev of wolf + lamb. gathered here are zevs strongest outings for the club since the brilliant >forget the world feat. beckford<. we dare say this is his best work to date with >queen of hearts< being one of the freshest takes we have heard on good ole house music this year. pushing all the right buttons, but also some most would never think to. queen of hearts feat. panu moon the initial groove instantly does what all great house does, but what follows are the contemplative vocals of a showman on the road via panu moons soft country drawl… playfully tweaked by zev adding an edge without taking away from panus croon. an unexpected techno vibe begins to ebb and flow over the groove yet it all magically stays together through the voice of a man searching for the queen of his heart. its house music with both an edge and sense of humor not unlike paperclip people, but in a vein more akin to >every now and then< by ralph falcon

in denmark, there rages a lively and experimental techno scene - and its not only a recent phenomenon. the best proof are phono and kemi, two danish imports to the berlin record label, highgrade records. the two chaps complement each other in a musically virtuoso fashion: phono, jacob thiessen, spent his childhood playing around with sequencers and drum machines: over the years he has stuck to this passion and as such, has developed a reputation as an experienced house and techno producer. kim kemi, by contrast, has been a dj since the beginning, and since the 90s has been one of the key figures in the copenhagen club scene. together they have not only performed regularly at the biggest events in denmarks capital, but have also ensured through their many releases, ever changing accents and atmospheres on the turntables. this wealth of combined musical experience can be heard instantly on their latest outing for highgrade – >decompose<. the three tracks, >decompose<, >exterminators< & >last night< assemble rhythms that come from punk, elegant voices and dizzying loops a multi-layered sound excursion. the result is a perfectly produced ep, but one that has not been ironed smooth. with the >made in denmark< seal of quality, phono and kemi bring some extra depth to the party attitude

dj deep is know as one of the key players in the french house and techno scene for many years now! recently he found some old recordings on dat tapes. going through these tapes he heard several tracks that somehow still sounded fresh!. after listening he got fascinated. he describes some of the cuts as raw and somehow naive tracksand as something naive, authentic and honest. so here we are... with a nice piece of wax that has 2 great tracks produced around 1994-1997, and 2 solid 2011 remixes. rootstrax comes with an excellent mix that is an emotional deep take that really captures the emotion of the original and brings it to a much more mature and deep territory. the marcelus mix gives us a much more radical, uncompromising techno interepretation. another stunner on deeply rooted house!!

well known from a couple of releases and his last album >the tracks are alive< on freerange records in 2010 dave pezzner brings out his first ep on 8bit records. he comes with a wonderful deep 4 tracker perfect for summertime showing all his talent how to work with rhodes chords and melody hooklines in a way you might never heard before
