introducing haraket, a 5 piece from south london who are set to release their debut 12 inch single on melodic recordings this spring. the band emerged from the creative chaos of school and college bands in and around peckham that have already given the world king krule. this is the first in a series of releases with melodica recordings, with an album due next year. haraket fuse wall-of-sound dynamics with often delicate source material, moody electronics, programmed beats and effected vocal lines. think a post dubstep version of early underworld or a certain ratio reinvented by the new digital century.

wild oats is proud to present the kmfh debut album the boat party. after a year of collaborative releases, kyle hall, under the alias kmfh, has produced a debut album, a fusion of original work, sample tracks, and raw edits. the boat party album artwork pokes fun at european summer boat parties and juxtaposes the destitute state of detroit and its recent proneness to discarded luxury in financial crises. mainly, the inability to leave and the sometimes pleasant isolation of a boat party is what the album exudes. the listener has a certain commitment to the material which definitely has its place on the dance floor. you can find tracks that have soulful, funky, and organic feels, while others have a more abstract, mechanical, and robotic sentiments. the boat party was carefully constructed which makes the album a cohesive mix of soulful etherealness and roughly raw sounds, kmfhs cueing into the true aspects of detroit.

mr. oleg poliakov joins the phonogramme team. also known for his releases under the skat moniker, olegs early production career was built on creating beats for hip-hop mcs and lending his studio skills to rappers. switching to radio production, he went onto to work with french national stations, further enhancing his technical skills. it was at this time his began to explore electronic music as a composer. with a sound that strays from specifics, he looks to create his own compositions using a subtle combo of all electronic worlds. his early releases on labels including karat and sthlmaudio won him acclaim, but it is his releases for circus company that have really put him on the map.

following on from his long awaited album ku:palm in november of last year, we now see its lead track pyramid get a vinyl release on photeks own label, photek productions. the eastern instrumentation and spacey beats may not be apt for every dance floor, but for fans of modus operandi era photek, pyramid is an essential tune. on the flip we have oshun, another track from ku:palm this time remixed by beneath, a producer that began making waves last year with a series of 12 inches on his own label, no symbols and a cracking mix for fact mag. he has gone on to release the illusions ep on dusk & blackdowns keysound recordings, as well as a 12 inch on pinchs influential tectonic recordings. mixing the darkest elements of funky, dub and syncopated grime with a distinctly uk edge, beneaths complex layered beats result in a truly unique sound that is a perfect matched to remix fellow experimentalist photek. a young producer that clearly knows his shit, beneath is a breath of fresh air.

moodymanns mahogani label releases another posthumous j dilla release, titled lost tapes, reels + more. check! despite his untimely passing in 2006, j dillas legacy has remained strong thanks to the enduring qualities of his back catalogue, the endeavours of the j dilla foundation and the yancey media group, not to mention the countless dilla themed reissues and projects that have surfaced in the wake of his death. moodymanns mahogani imprint have of course played their own part in ensuring j dillas enduring legacy with the release of the dillatroit ep last year, a 12-track release of previously unreleased j dilla material done in collaboration with the aforementioned yancey media group and j dilla foundation

i had dinner with breach in london and he told me: hey, i have a track that is really dirtybird. i would put it out but its really sounding right for you guys. i took this with a grain of salt but then i heard lets get hot and i found out he was right. it has got the swagger and the sound. it makes girls grind their asses into boys crotches on the dancefloor. perfect. signed. so i then asked him to make something even more sexual, thinking it would be ages before i got something back. 10 days later the a-side came back to me as a 2 minute clip while i was on the train to warehouse project in manchester. i liked it so much that i edited it on the train to stretch it out to 5 minute. as expected, it slayed the room and the final version breach has delivered is one of the best records of the year in my opinion. with the simple title of jack you can see for yourself when you play it. this is the real deal. love, vonstroke

30 year old london born ali pearce, aka stealth is a dj/producer that has been on the scene for many years. his diverse style and maturity of sound has seen him successful in many areas of the drum and bass spectrum, achieving releases on some of the industries most respected labels including – v recordings, renegade hardware, subtitles, frequency, intasound and many more… after honing his skills as a teenager on the illegal rave scene in the late 90s, his early days as a dj saw him picked up to be a resident warm up artist for the legendary promotion movement, going on to play at some of londons top nightclubs over the years, as well as abroad, and hosting weekly shows on origin fm. the last few years have been focussed more and more towards his productions, allowing him to cultivate his skills as an artist, and securing dj support of his work from the likes of – andy c, chase and status, subfocus, marky, bailey, bryan g, calyx, teebee, dbridge, break, ulterior motive, zero tolerance and xtrah to name a few! the future definitely looks bright for this budding producer, as 2013 kicks off with an ep due out on subtitles early in the year, as well as material lined up for release on andy cs new imprint program, so keep your ears peeled!

nice price deal !!! hypno killer! martin patino is a real heavyweight with releases on cadenza, suara and flash. martin belongs to the generation who have enhanced house music with a new vibrant sound design. his track >michal< is a spiritual and breathtaking experience, a mesmerizing encounter into the deeper and psychedelic side of the soul. martin hits the keys with precision and energy that works in perfect harmony to his hypnotic side. this track is a fabulous one and comes here as a single side release.

martin landsky needs little introduction his services to the cause of house and techno have been well documented, particularly through his long and fruitful collaboration with steve bugs poker flat label. always willing to take chances, landsky continues this legacy with what might be the fiercest assault of the dancefloor of the year get ready for ekko trax.

currently two of the busiest men in contemporary deep house, alex agore and james johnston have still found the time to establish their joint no matter what recordings as a potent outlet. this sixth release sees johnston at the buttons for sole control after a couple of split releases and the consumer ep demonstrates a further refinement of his own distinct brand of house music. arriving on transparent vinyl, lead track give him prozac sets the tone with a thick four note synth lead that accrues all manner of dreamlike analogue qualities as it progresses backed by those crisp rolling rhythms johnston is known for. columbo likes the nightlife takes things on a notably deeper path, all dubby chords and intricate skipping percussive touches augmented by epic sweeping textures, whilst face down and they had cocktails maintains the same feel if upping the pace somewhat. johnston ends strongly with the sublime analogue build of the sleepwalker.

scott mou, known as one half of the duo jane – the folk techno drone duo he had with panda bear - aswell as part of manhattans famous record store other music, debuts with his soloproject queens. johan jacobsen describes the wonderful music of queens in oxymorons, colorful monochrome, myopic depth, sad joy, driven slowness, enlightened darkness, universal intimacy, ethereal earthboundness ... as it should be. queens is one of those wonderful artists who are hard to catch on the fly, who escapes easy definition. his music is an unexpected and unimagined universe ready to be explored, and it s a universe that is wonderful to be in. when dial records david lieske and peter kersten listened to a performance of their new york based friend in 2009, it was one of those unforgettable unique experiences you only have once in a long while these days. the idea of releasing an album was born. the production of end times involved other labelmates such as phillip sollmann aka efdemin (recording), kassian troyer (mixing) and hendrik weber, who once joined a life performance on stage with scott mou in 2012.
