with *canyons* rivulet records releases another debut from a young artist. niklas krafts aka talski musical roots are basically jazz and freejazz and he is active as a saxophonist and keyboarder in some relevant combos like klinke auf chinch, eder or the niklas kraft quartett to mention only a few. as talski he presents his very own variation of deephouse. doleful chords, cheerful drums, sophisticated sample-work but mainly the sound of his analog hammonds and junos build up the charm of his tracks. it is hard to specify his sound but after all it ranges somewhere between electronica and deephouse. the danceable part of the ep is a classic deep-house remix produced by the leipzig based duo boytalk.

part two of the idjut boys mixes on file under disco sees the legendary uk dj and production duo drop a tab of acid in jkriv & the disco machines orange juice. with effects units set to stun and a course set for acid disco space … the idjuts work classic acid house elements into these mixes to produce an effect as strong as any dodgy microdot. and with the disco machines authentic disco vocals riding and floating on top of this hybrid blend the result is a truly wanged out and rather devastating piece of dance floor magic. pure idjut style! both cuts can be filed under acid disco and are made for heads.

the return of goldffinch on saigon recordings with remixes of two tracks from their 2 part ep series from last year. first up is a rework of *funky steppa* arguably the belgian duos biggest tune to date on a club level with huge dj support from the likes of boddika, jackmaster, oneman and more – stepping up on the remix duties is none other than resident swamp 81 producer trusta with a psychedelic monster of a relick. on the flip policy fresh from his superb album on rush house attacks *outer twigs* to sublime effect, taking the original framework and truly making the track his own, it is a journey you wont want to come back from.

upon the first listen, the work of fernando unfolds directly on your brain and leaves a long lasting feeling of drama. fernando pulichino is one those lucky guys who can pick up any instrument and write songs without breaking a sweat. he first caught my attention with a remake of the bauhaus classic kick in the eye released on redux in 2008. he then backed up this great start with releases and remixes for labels like international feel, under the shade, internasjonal and nang. he also very busy touring as part of the 2020 soundsystem band and he is also in silver city with julian sanza.
we decided to put together a long player to highlight the talents of our man in buenos aires. the construction of *float* reveals an astonishing wealth of musical ideas, brazen touches of new wave and icy modern disco sounds are evident throughout. low slung basses are also a theme that runs right through *float* whether it is the opening song *a place* which has a monster electronic bottom end or *from out there* which sits firmly on the punk funk dinner table, bass lines are clearly important to fernando.
