entitled narita, the release is inspired by, and dedicated to, japan, and the tracks are a collage of all the experiences and emotions the producer has picked up there whilst on his travels. this release was also due to be the 44th on the label (which has now made it up to number 67) and so has clearly been cooking for a long time. once again it proves the man behind it to be focused on stripped back and hypnotic grooves, shadowy textures and subliminal synths that are abstract and truly heady. up first, sleepless is a spooky and hypnotic techno roller with icy pads and rubber drums that roll on like a haunted midnight train burrowning deep into your brain. ebisu is even more reserved, with just a light, skipping kick and tinkling, glassy keys suspending you in a wide open space of abstract atmospheric soun d. on th e flip side, mountain splitter is more urgent and immediate, with nervy pads this time racing alongside woodpecker precision and supple drums. it s heady stuff that really distracts you from the world before finally trance is a wash of grainy white noise and groaning synths that soundtrack a word deep down in the depths of the ocean. svreca is a master of getting deep inside both body and brain and does so in different but captivating ways with all four of these cuts.

after the retrofuture compilation was released, including 8 tracks from newcomer artists from madrid paying homage to one club, the logical move was to present a collection of remixes by already established artists from spain s capital city. released in 2 vinyl eps, retrofuture remixes 1 & 2 includes remixes from some of the most relevant electronic artists of the spanish scene in the last 20 years.

we are back with the 4th episode of the seed series. this is ep was born from the recent collaboration between deepbass, head of informa records, and nax_acid owner of the label. the record is a deep voyage between abstract and distorted atmospheres and pulsing analog and acidic sound all blend in with 4/4 and broken techno beats, taking you to an imaginary garden of the hesperides, nymph garden, inspired from the greek mythology. hesperis, erebus and nyx, nymph of the night and darkness, will accompany you through the journey across the ravishing garden, guiding you through the elegance of a splendid dark night enlighten by a new moon.

mathias schaffhäusers fourth collection of remixes will be released in march and april 2015 in an exceptionally lavish way. two vinyl eps, each with an additional cd, will be released 4 weeks apart. the vinyls will feature the clubbiest tracks, which also will be on the cds (some of them in uncut original versions), flanked by a handful of more subtle and experimental tunes, making 17 tracks in all.

milton wrights perfect deep soul classic *keep it up* has always been a top shelf record, everything about it is almost flawless! whether it is miltons silky vocal delivery, the incessant guitar driven back beat or the total space funk vibe of his omnipresent arp-2600 synthesizer this record has it all. originally released on tk discos more soul and funk orientated alston label which was home to many legendary artists and records, this 1975 sunshine classic never fails to make people move. a classic rare groove indeed. *the silence that you keep* takes up side-b, a jazzy, flute driven love song that again features milton s perfect voice and some fantastic arrangement. a real gem of a record, with the original 45 changing hands for over £100 a time in used condition. this is the first time *keep it up* has been re-issued in its original 45 rpm format with the original alston label artwork. it has been re-mastered, re-pressed and made available again with the permission of tk disco / alston records, miami florida, usa.

2014 was a big year for scott moncrieff aka thatmanmonkz. not only did his own label shadeleaf become firmly established he dropped brilliantly received releases on both kolour ltd and here on d.o.g.

bericochea is back, making his debut for idle hands with the *wake up* ep. simply titled w1-4, here we find bericochea at his best channeling all that was good about his earlier productions but sounding more vital than ever in an era of overly shiny house and blokey hard techno.

3024 is reissuing martyn s 2009 collaboration with hyperdub poet the spaceape, who passed away last october. is this insanity? comes from martyn s debut album great lengths and was his first collaboration with the spaceape. the vinyl also features the previously unreleased track camberwell green and the highly sought after remix of is this insanity by germany s techno don ben klock!

in music, phrygian mode is dissonant, dark, depressive and gloomy. its use was even forbidden in classical greece for centuries because it was considered pagan. the sound of phrygian mode is rather exotic.

the most interesting, advanced electronic musicians create unique, hermetic soundworlds that seem to emanate from unknown realms. see/hear aphex twin, autechre, farmers manual, iannis xenakis, and bernard parmegiani, among a handful of others. if chloe harris isnt quite in that echelon yet, she is quickly approaching it with dose.(this album was originally issued on very ltd.-ed. cassette in 2012 and is now getting a vinyl release, mainly due to the urging of italian techno magus donato dozzy.

musicalitys second release is a remake of the gil scott heron b-side *the klan*, featuring allan barnes formerly of the blackbyrds, and craig huckaby. the a-side has a wind and keys driven retro-funkiness, aided by latin percussion. kemeticjusts remix on the b glues everything together into a slightly faster house-tempo, increasing the propulsion, and likely causing lively dancing to break out. it was mixed by pirahnahead at united sound systems, and mastered by the legendary herb powers. musicality is the brainchild of producer/dj seth dedikate carter.

bassa clan are a mysterious duo from bologna (italy). the project was born on a foggy night in the countryside. akai mpc 2000 and a radar oriented to detroit were the basic ingredients. raw, analog, roots devoted. from techno to house and viceversa. only vinyl - hand stamped - from our soul to yours.

armando gallop, the legendary chicago producer & dj whose career was tragically cut short by his death in 1996 left behind a legendary reputation as one of the windy citys finest. having released on seminal labels such as, trax, musique, westbrook and his own warehouse imprint, armando brought his own rough hewn brand of machine funk and acid to the table and the dance music world has been much better off for it since.

this 10 inch contains 2 unreleased vinyl versions in extended mixes that can make your day. the merits of van bonns releases on telrae, trapez and on van bonn records you can find in his new release -unbound-. the attractiveness of repetition has made its way into this ep... and it was a good choice. we kick off with -king-, a track which is a cross breed of a stubborn beat and a dub techno feeling showcasing a melodic intermezzi that flies in and out with a mind of its own. more minimalistic than most of the tracks you know from him, it includes unexpected half baked sounds you would not expect from van bonn. on the other hand the epic 10 minute monster -distinct- is a real dub techno giant and a soundtrack at the same time... with beats that take you by the hand.

jeroens commemorating his roots by re-releasing a selection of search records from days gone by. each has been remastered in such a way that it retains its authentic and timeless energy. pressed onto fresh vinyl, this limited series contains some of the finest search tracks ever to be put out, handpicked by jeroen himself. in light of that it might be easily forgotten that jeroen search has been creating techno since the early nineties. and that he ran one of the most influential labels around back then: >search<. between 1996 and 2001 it was home to a host of releases, many from jeroen himself. released on vinyl and without any reprints, they ve since hidden in the record collections of a select few.

caul is the new album from last harbour. based in the northern english city of manchester, last harbour play music with a dark, gothic heart yet their songs are always beautiful and transcendent. after working with producer richard formby (wild beasts, spacemen 3, ghostpoet) on two previous albums, the band took time out after touring to build their own studio in 2013. this new album was recorded in that self-created space over a year between 2013-4 and bears testament to a patient and detailed recording process that allowed time for experimentation and careful arrangement.

another classic from the west end archives! forrrces keep on dancin from 1982 was a huge record across the board from bronx block parties to the paradise garage in nyc and dj harveys moist nights in london town, its popularity was bolstered by a fierce francois k dub mix on the b-side that stripped the record right back to it s most basic elements with a healthy dose of reverb assisted psychedelia thrown in for good measure! this killer cowbell led boogie jam has always been a big hit with disco freaks and continues to sound fresh some 30+ years later even making its way into veteran uk dj and music historian sean ps 100 boogie essentials 1980-1984 list. high praise indeed!re-mastered from original tape transfers, re-pressed and made available again for 2015 in conjunction with west end records, new york city.

roadside edits are back, their first 12inch was a very limited pressing, and it sold out faster than moonshine back in the prohibition days, so they have repressed it, and for good measure they have added their foot stomping edit moonshine on the a side, its a liquid disco funk hoe down thigh slapping drunken stomp, funky and slide guitars, the odd brass stab here and there, throw in a bit of organ with some chunky pianos, add some guy laughing and we are good to go. b1 gets going with a funky disco cosmic groover with some wicked wah wah guitar, strings, effects, cool synths and tight drums, all bound to get them moving on the dance floor. b2 groove is so infectious with some sweet harmonica solos, tight bass and soaring strings that lifts this track and the crowd to cloud

ltd warehouse found... the joubert singers – stand on the word remixes available 12inch, including larry levan mix and exclusive reworks by patchworks, panoptikum arkestra & walter mecca. originally recorded live in the first baptist church in crown heights, nyc, in 1982 under celestial choir and pressed only for the congregation, it was then enlighted by walter gibbons (owner of jus born studios and a new born christian at the time of the recording), who acquired a copy and played it out at the 7th av. rock and soul shop, where he worked. >stand on the word< was walters biggest record at the time, says colin gate, who visited the church in order to track down the origins of the song.

the phantom is older than you think, both figuratively and literally. his debut on vinyl was on *it s my mike* by the funky force 2 back in 1987 on amanda records. in 1988 he recorded as part of the group the force and recorded *the mission* with the producer powercut. he is probably best known for being one of the main mcs in cult group dynametrix, who released an ep in 1991 and an lp in 1994 called *a measure of force* on kold sweat records. he also appeared on three tracks on the unsung heroes lp *unleashed* as well as appearing with tom dice on *thug killer*.

fernandos solo work, as day outside, was recently comped by bill brewster, and right now he has simultaneous releases on leng, cynic and international feel. hes also in silver city with julian sanza exclusive japan import.

two sides from our favorite early 80s lover lew kirton. its the first time the sexy soul mans two track have been 45! both solid tried and tested lp tracks, but who wants to spin lps. 15 years of doing a club every week and you end up with some secret weapons, *something special* was always a big tempo change record. everyone is tired from dancing for two hours to fast disco, modern and deepfunk and without warning you just drop this badboy in take it down a notch and let the dry riding commence, solid. on the flip is lews straight up jack of gloria gaynors *i will survive*, pure shameless anthemic dancefloor disco smasher that i have championed for years, that catchy guitar line over lews big voice never tires.

at the tail end of the 90s, gregory darsa played around with a number of pseudonyms before finally settling on his now familiar dj gregory alias. one of those abandoned aliases was headcore. it was used for a single ep back in 1998, released on chateau flight s label, versatile (then in it s infancy). here, that ep gets a welcome reissue. it s aged rather well, with all four tracks - explorations of deep house themes with occasional nods to the dubby, african-influenced style darsa would later explore on the africanism project - sounding as fresh now as they did 16 years ago. picking highlights is tricky, but we re particularly enjoyed the sparse, swinging dub-house of -cage- (accompanied with a tasty drum dub) and the chez damier-influenced chug of -in & out
