diese platte enthält sechs tracks von freephilipp und robin – zwei musikern aus bremen, die sich dort treffen, wo sich die lücke zwischen digitaler subkultur und experimenteller elektronischer musik öffnet. freephilipp steuert vier glitch-lastige stücke bei, die sich zwischen idm-angehauchtem ambient, electro, atmosphärischen broken beats und junglesken fragmenten bewegen. random chords memory ist einer der gründe, warum diese veröffentlichung unbedingt realisiert werden musste: der track steht für sich allein, genau wie der rest der ep, könnte aber dennoch als signaturstück für freephilipps nächtliche begeisterung gelten – zwischen nachtschichten und dem austausch von produktionskenntnissen mit den menschen in seinem umfeld. robin (zckr rec / ph17) vervollständigt die ep auf der b-seite. tau-37 und omega5, benannt nach zwei sternensystemen, laden zu einem dub-getränkten, treibenden flug ein. der basic-channel-artige eindruck von tau-37 rundet die reise in kombination mit omega5 ab, dessen drone-lastige klanglandschaft sich langsam öffnet und auflöst. diese musik war nie für ein publikum gedacht. sie ist ein dokument dessen, wie es klingt, wenn man sich von der außenwelt verabschiedet und beginnt, landschaften in einer anderen zu erschaffen.
