devon lyon, born devon bailey, moved to kingston in the 70 s to live in trenchtown with his mum, his sister and his brother named dennis. dennis was working in the new kingston area on a construction site. dennis met a friend who worked at the construction site and that friend was the lead singer from the group the chantells. . dennis told the chantells lead singer that his brother was singing at home like he was singing everyday on construction work site. the chantells lead singer told dennis to bring his brother devon. one day, devon came with his brother devon and they met the three members of the group the chantells. they became friends. devon started to verse with them in the evening and they really like him style.

born in america, raised in scotland, singing saxophonist amy lyon has been writing and singing music for around 6 years and began playing saxophone at the age of 10. with a love for jazz, funk and soul her influences include ella fitzgerald, otis redding, amy winehouse and erykah badu. with marlon hoffstadt she found an congenial partner to take her songs to the dancefloor. despite his innocent age of 18 years marlon’s productions keep up with those of the well known when it comes to quality. stylistically his sounds are somewhere between pop and house. marlon has that certain “something” that creates its own character and a very distinctive sound. their debut ep “you and a love stoned ghost,” contains four enchanting tracks created by the synergy of marlon’s fresh productions and amy’s energetic voice.

already well-known since 2017 in lyon and the french musical landscape for its fragile rave parties amongst others, the spiral dance crew just gave birth to the sous traitance label. throughout its first compilation a strong selection of up-and-coming producers the collective gathered 30 minutes of fiery and experimental breakbeat, considerably influenced by the 90s wild energy.

from celome, a musical project crafted by hugo morin, a new producer born and raised in lyon/france. the 12 inch starts with the title track >violence was magnified< followed by marco faraones pounding remix. the b-side opens with the zenker brothers remix of >the final experiment< which is the second original on the release. celome is perpetually seeking for innovative sounds, and he makes a point of emphasizing sound design thanks to immersive cinematic soundscapes.

when fouk & glenn astro remix a new artist you know what the vibe is: dirty diy house with a heavy funk vibe. mangabey is the new kid on the toy tonics family and he is a master of this style. he lives in lyon/ france (and is a good friend of folamour who remixed his first ep on toy tonics some months ago).
