if you want something done right, sometimes you just have to do it yourself. in a world filled with false gurus and misguided leaders, so goes the mantra of the new york duo walker & royce. after a swift rise in recent years during which time they pioneered a sound that is often imitated but never replicated sam walker and gavin royce have used this mantra as the impetus for their debut album self help, on their label home dirtybird. in order to grow, one often has to look inward, and the pair set out on a trail of self-discovery and advancement. their journey has resulted in a diverse album that evokes a range of emotion and fervor, one that can be appreciated both on the way to a club as well as feverishly dancing to it in one. walker & royces signature production is in exceptional form on their solo tracks, such as why tho, warkin it, best track ever and sunday. the way they contrast heavy, low-end bass and beats with pristine melodies arises from the first thing they ask themselves when they fire up their studio: will we play this? the pair has also continued to push the boundaries of their minted formula for a bigger purpose, enlisting several distinct vocalists and collaborators to captivating effect. the legendary green velvet lends his vocal talent to rub anotha dub, and longtime friend dances with white girls appear on two memorable tracks, including the hit single take me to your leader. other collaborators such as sophiegrophy, oncue, forrest and mr. jpatt each introduce their own individual elements to the album, rounding out the varied tones and feelings that comprise the self help masterpiece. the road to self-discovery is filled with many bumps and obstacles, but with self help, walker & royce have proven that theyve got the keys and in the driver’s seat
after much consideration into what makes a quality label, tour records was born. the first release from the imprint, a 4 track ep bringing together walker. and harrison bdp. thick, rolling dub vibes from start to finish.
“reflecting visons of possible realities emphasize that space is only noise if you can see that life without music is an error.”
from long floating techno noise layers to cyborg elektro, displaying once more that old fashioned genre settings will not apply to subsonic releases.

more than often, musicians feel that releasing music is giving birth to a baby but no one knows better than women. stefny winter realizes a dream by putting out a collection of meaningful tracks, all made in various important moments of her life. more so, some of the tracks were made while she was pregnant, making this project even more special to her. coming from the 90s as a dj who would juggle between styles, stefny explores with no compromises or time stamp, her various tastes through time. >wind walker< becomes a savory collage of music that wont really stick to standard styles but will become familiar to any ears. limited color-vinyl pressing (one transparent, one white/grey marbled).
ITS PROCESS NOT SUBSTANCE / SOMETHING FOR YOU (REMASTERED)
12 Inch 07.11.16
stewart s. walker’s genuine techno works from his late 90’s ep abstract symbols of decadence. the extended version of it’s process not substance brilliantly brings the best out of monotonity and rawness, while something for you keeps the release balanced with its warm and mellow vibe.
straight ahead music presenting their twelfth vinyl & digital release from lee walker with 2 big remixes by david glass and jozef k & winter son. thanks to lee walker for keeping their tracks to sascha sonido´s label straight ahead music.
golden parachutes is a unique, collaborative musical effort comprised of stewart walker (us/berlin) and touane (italy/berlin). following five years of collaborative live-performances and techno releases through stewart’s persona records imprint, here the duo has decided to co-mingle their influences from afrobeat and progressive jazz into a boundary-free exploration. liberated from the constraints of repetitive, pounding kick drums, they unveil a new sound of timbral fluidity built-up from live and sequenced instruments. more than just music, their innovative approach delivers 43 minutes of consummate aural landscapes that pull the listener in head first. as the title ‘into the dark grey morning’ suggests the album takes you on a sweet atmospheric journey where melodic washes of colour and light flicker illumination into the dark clouds of monochromatic noise and reverb compositions, evoking fresh beginnings in electronic music... like a light at the end of the tunnel. as level records third long-play release, ‘into the dark grey morning’ is an unexpected turn away from the labels normal tendencies. with it’s live-instrumental melodies layered over sweeping electronic backdrops the album dips deeply into progressive rock waters and surfaces with a contemporary krautrock sound, logically delivered by a label from düsseldorf, the birthplace of krautrock music.
american native musician, based between the flourishing berlin and paradisiac bali, walker barnard is a truly special artist. he presents his latest work with serialism, a fantastic 4 track ep of mesmerising elegant, soulful and psychedelic minimal funk. the ep also includes a killer bumpy remix from techno luminary and family friend alexi delano + a original digital only bonus track. another fine piece of art from walker!
last copies left , ltd blow out ... another artist, another font. bouncing techno business from manchester. a smiley analogue instrumental that in some bizarre way could be the illegitimate child of an early human league jam and our recent truffle club release, or something like that anyway
madrids synth alien returns with a fresh ep out on cyber dance records entitled *stellar walker* that shows off his spaced-out and italofied influences in just the manner we have now come to expect from that label - slow-motion chugging synth workouts that are rich in atmosphere, confident in pace and arrangement and most importantly jam-packed with heavy riffing and piercing melodies from start to finish.
hard hitting trippy techno at its best! graphene is proud to announce our latest artist patrick walker to the roster. patrick delivers 3 pounding dancefloor cuts sprinkled with ethereal atmospheres.

just when you thought you knew what you were going to get from flashmob they switch it up completely, stamping their mark of quality and proving their versatility as producers they turn in an old school acid house stomp. dark, rumbling bass, spoken female vocal, and complimentary 303 acid squelches make both the garage mix and panorama mix equally at home in a field around the m25 circa 88 as it does on the floor at dc10 in 2013. watch out. acid house is back!
in the beginning there was funk. some say it came from another planet, some say it was always here...what we know is that walker barnards has got the funk deep inside of him and with chapter 19 of the serialism adventure we share the journey with you.
inner surface music are very proud to present their fourth release with two stalwarts of the uk underground techno scene - patrick walker (forward strategy group / isodyne) and inigo kennedy.
currently bubbling under the surface of brookylns house scene, walker & royce are about to break through with their addictive debut single youre not welcome on the mighty crosstown rebels imprint, complete with rising star francesca lombardo remix.
merc 009 sees another mark e 2 tracker with snow walker & environment. snow walker combines an uptempo relentless percussive hard nosed rolling drum rhythm, running parallel with shimmering disco lights, synth blobs and a messed up yeti vocal nag, nestling comfortably somewhere between the black country and the black forest. environment however pushes itself all deepness and glory with electronic female vox, looping sub bass boogie and a slow sasquatch techno sensibility.
following their recent track on reduxs pick & mix vol. 1, the disco legend that is pete herbert and melbournes golden fleece further cement their collaboration with this full ep on space walker records. >ivory waves< is a 90s influenced cut of uplifting piano-driven balearic house, complete with lush cosmic flourishes, whilst >the bells of hackney< is a more low-slung, but no less powerful production. initially combining a snaking live bassline and spaced-out arpeggios, the track builds to a crescendo as heavily flanged piano and tights guitar licks come into play. the b-side meanwhile serves up two remixes of >ivory waves<, lithuanias downtown party network recompose it as an even more-good time anthem (if such a thing is possible) with their trademark melodic charm, while slovenias sare havlicek takes the track into deeper territory bringing the thick bassline teasing the melody with dubbed out stabs, slowly bringing the huge piano line in before dropping it with force, taking the anthem potential of the original and running with it.
the us born and berlin based walker barnard created a unique ep drawing from his years of experience and studio work with sounds as diverse as hip-hop and minimal techno. featuring the legendary us poet and producer mike ladd and a remix from our good friend iron curtis, the result is something completely different and yet strangely familiar.
tommy walker 3 has been hiding for a while now, after releasing a slew of material in 2008 (including a release on the sadly defunct dissident). now hes back with >dance music clubbing<, and with a name like this youd probably expect this ep to either be a bit off the wall, or unintentionally awful. we are glad to say it fits into the former category, offering an ep of colourful elastic space disco mixed with a more classic vibe. opener >disconnected< sets the tone with its 80s, verging on hair metal guitar riffs. >mwj1< impresses with its almost seinfeld-esque slap bass, and synth piano stabs while >errational< is characterised by its wonky synth melody and spaced-out laser gurgles. finally >v brains< melds driving live bass with huge slabs of cosmic squelch. if you like your disco fierce, this will definitely be worth a look
etruria beats latest release has been done by the new neapolitan talent duo viesse. there are two original mixes: >secrets< and >walk<. >secrets< is the journey track made of steel grooves, stabby chords and strings, everything moving on a restless bassline. >walk<, instead, is a perfect combination between airy chords and heavy drums, flowing in a killer groove crowned by the vocals ... walk!! c mon!
>secrets< has also been remixed by arnaud le texier, owner of safari electronique, who has his latest releases on cocoon and bass culture. the last track on the vinyl is >slowly<, that has been remixed from tennis, aka manfredi romano, owner of life and death, who has given a peculiar touch at 116 bpm to the release.

with age comes maturity, or that is at least what one would normaly think. together the three men (jin choi, walker barnard & tolga fidan) associated with private golds second release, the >i m just the rain< ep, clock in at over 100 years… and yet this release is all thrusting crotches and wriggling teen lust man-booties. only kidding, the songs on this release are nothing if not mature. sure the aforementioned sex is there. in the cooing vocals, stompy bass and 60s psych of the contrapuntal guitar of the eponymous >i m just the rain< or in the jimmy edgar-like funk and grind of >revolution for the lovers<.
