this one was a smash all last year at the john waynes beach parties and its not hard to see why. beautiful and hypnotic naive melodies intertwine with a gently bumping rhythm with plenty enough groove to get you off the sun lounger and dancing on the beach/by the pool/on the roof (delete as applicable). perfect for the summer that keeps threatening to happen in the uk but that we never quite seem to have, time to go on holiday. theres a killer piano part that comes in later in the second half after the clip finishes
a highly percussive, pounding and gnarly yet deep and hugely atmospheric house grind from lisbons finest. a weirdly syncopated vocal loop arrives halfway through and turns this into some kind of warped exercise in dyslexic hip-house. extremely big for the big rooms, and still very large indeed for the smaller ones
g&s is nadia ksaiba and matt nightmoves waites and show me the good times is a chunky, bass heavy beast full of live percussion, space echo fx and sparkling electronic flourishes. theres also someone from a rather famous pop group banging and shaking things in the background, we ll leave it to you to work out who...
nice price deal !!! sf ur is a trippy and eminently funky house/techno groove that will see plenty of plays with the better djs across a number of scenes and rokkoko raduno heads into spacey midtempo electronics territory for warm up, back room, afterhours and outdoor action.
nice price deal !!! another big one from the off-key hat after the storming success of emergency calling. this one is aslamming hi-octane dancefloor hybrid of emergency calling and their first single, this is not..with its lyrically twisted spoken verses, a huge chorus and a massive breakdown, not to mention the amazing analogue synth arpeggios and chords this will be utterly massive for summer. this one will fly out even quicker than the brassica 12″,,,, did so please donÆt sleep.
last copies left , ltd blow out ... another artist, another font. bouncing techno business from manchester. a smiley analogue instrumental that in some bizarre way could be the illegitimate child of an early human league jam and our recent truffle club release, or something like that anyway
hard ton is a very welcome new addition to the dissident clan, and yet another old school analogue kit freak. time to jack is raw acid business that breaks into falsetto vocals half way thru before diving back into jacking analogue territory. a sure-fire winner for summer. marilyn is lush deep and dreamy dance-pop full of vocal hooks and sublime synth textures, perfect for the end of night and late morning sets
neville was resident dj at the legendary checkpoint charlie for many years, is one of the midnight steppers and has recently released some amazing house music with new producer kink to great acclaim. this is him all on his own. its a slab of bad-boy chicago house. a 707 drum machine, a bouncing bassline, pitched down vocals and a serious case of the jack. what more do you need? move quickly cos this one will fly out sharpish and be smashing dancefloors to bits all summer.
nice price deal !!! this is the first in an occasional series of dissident special projects. >i was recently asked to do a remix for a brand new tune by italo legend alexander robotnick< the result was 15 minutes of 808, burbling acid bass, pro one and heavily effected chicago style spoken vocals which was deemed too long to fit on the commercially released 12 so the label (this is music - run by simian mobile disco) thought it would be a good idea to release a very limited number of 12s as a promo only. so thats what this is, a joint dissident/this is music release of a remix that wont ever be available on any other vinyl issue. limited to 200 copies, one sided
killer sleaze business from another one of the dissident glasgow gang. slow and dirty morning music that sounds equally at home on the modern cosmic dancefloor. we ve included the vocal and instrumental versions and pushed them close together so you can either take your pick or let the vox run into the inst for extended dancefloor pleasure.
pure analogue italo-esque vocoder tackle from berlin that really hits the spot. pretty face is midtempo and slightly menacing and happy birthday shifts the tempo up a bit and treats the vocals to the other end of the vocoder spectrum. they are totally separate but sequenced so you can let the side run thru (a trick we pinched from disconet and hot tracks) or take your pick
this killer house groove was inspired by the guys listening to loads of kevin saunderson stuff from the late 80s and cant you just tell. after the success of >shaboo< this one will be as big if not bigger. check the clip to see why !!
same script as with previous control voltage releases, 2 x 303, 1 x 808, 1 x 909, 2 x blokes on dial and desk duty and this time guest starring a linn lm2 for that fearsome descending snare sound. this one is a big analogue party tune that just keeps on going and is sure to put a wonky grin on a bunch of sweaty faces on a dancefloor near you this summer. also, contrary to a number of reports from a few internet record dealers who seem hell-bent on driving up the price of the first 2 control voltage 12s, they are not quite sold out a source, we havent got many left but there are a few remaining for anyone that needs them
a radical departure from the underground smash that is false energy. a big, ballsy, rocky dance beast (or is that dancey rock beast?) with holger on guitar and vocals from gill dread of stoner groove merchants con mun gos. an absolute dancefloor killer in the right hands.
the follow up to the much loved acolyte is a chunky, driving downtempo italo esque piece for all the freaky dancers out there. please note the soundclip is from the unmastered audio and the actual record sounds bigger and brighter
sebastian muravchik is ali renaults partner in neo italo disco sensations heartbreak who are soon to be massve. this is the first of many releases he has lined up for dissident. an energetic and emotion soaked downtempo euro style masterpiece thats equally at home on the dancefloor or soundtracking a long lost episode of miami vice
nice price deal !!! dissident steps out with another new outfit and a tuff jacking old-school chicago house track that runs hand in hand into italo territory with some wild cosmic synth lines, resulting in a rocking dancefloor jam. the should be the first of many from the steppers on dissident
limited to 200 copies!! old-school italo flavoured electro with huge dancefloor appeal. reminiscent of klein & mbo and exactly the kind of stuff you can imagine getting banged at the box by ron hardy and caned by the hotmix 5 on chicagos airwaves in the early 80s.
limited to 200 copies !! another killer from monsieur renault. more awesome midtempo italo business. super spacey, super stompy and very strong. with plenty more like this in the pipeline, it looks like mr. renault will be keeping them coming for a while to come yet.
limited to 200 copies !! invincible scum is a new project from milo (binary chaffinch, kruton, chrome hoof) and andy (scs, control voltage) who have also just completed an excellent acid-tinged remix of the future classic >false energy< which is coming soon on dissident.
