basil & rogers is a sleazy, california disco duo made up of heru (dj) johnny basil and body rogers. basil, a multi-instrumentalist, long-time record collector, and energy healer is a man that s been making music for a long time under many different guises and in many different styles. heru avenger (acid/psych rock), non stop (electronic/free jazz), baast (kraut rock/jazz funk), and kandi jones (slut rock) are just a few of his projects, past and present. most of this music has been around for the entirety of the 90 s and 2000 s without being heard because despite basil s outspoken appearance (described by many as looking like iggy pop s twin brother and would never be caught wearing a t-shirt no matter the location) he s very quiet about his musical output. body rogers is also part of the non stop group and is a master of electronics and engineering. on the basil & rogers project the two have made a disco 12- that is influenced by classic-era dance music while still being completely unique and far from conforming. it s crazy, it s sexy, and it s sleazy. tune in .

corda ep is anton kubikov’s second solo release on pro-tez records. its a sultry, padded ep that makes use of a slowed-down template before covering it in swathes of dub pads and a pulsating square bass lines - reminding of an imaginary midnight sound jam between maurizio and larry heard. it is a robust and propulsive release for all dub techno heads. anton is emerging once again with his own utterly individual dub emissions with a touch of proper minimalism to it. available as 180 gram vinyl only release.

hans berg and johanna knutsson return to the ufo station with their fourth release, a powerful trippy trip, through warped time and space. and guess who was waiting for them at the station? well,none other than fellow space traveller dungeon acid, who delivers a remix that just might knock your space pants off. the title track alien power is obviously inspired by the quantum fusion core phase shift warp power engine that drives the ufo station, a steady beat to keep you on the right side of the force, whereas the dungeon acid remix is a musical interpretation of the great warp speed interdimensional flux mishap of the year 2216. the track dubby is so named because it inherently describes the core feeling of the track! alien choirs and synched synths meet long delay lines in this dreamy piece.

animals on psychedelics is a new label out of cleethorpes, run by dj/promoter carl_h. through a combination of name, artwork and musical output, animals on psychedelics focuses on the more tripped out, spacey side of electronic music. the labels debut release is a three-track ep from london duo invisible menders, otherwise known as dom ahtuam & jane fitz, who have also released on porn wax and boe recordings.

after the first ricardo tobar remix edition (featuring remixes by john tejada and fairmont) on cocoon recordings we are proud to present the next chapter with remixes by lawrence and midnight operator (mathew and nathan jonson). 2016 seems to continue as we started it: with high quality music by great artists presenting us amazing techno in an unique and tasty style. midnight operator, the joint project of the two jonson brothers, picked tobars angora for their remix and the result appears very fresh and housey. their bassline programming adds a nice italo-disco vibe to their version of angora.

about a year ago nico stojan and acid pauli met at the studio to record some music. while doing so they discovered their common love for sample based production. so they were basically digging into old vinyls and eventually these three tracks came along. nothing more to say, but enjoy. call of the valley is the first release on the new label ouie: there has been a shift in this tiny piece of massive world and, like all other shifts, they are documented by those who were there. ouie is the label to do just that, created by the people who were there, making those shifts.

all of the tracks in this ep were created by the roland rhythm composer tr-707. the recordings were captured live using a combination of analog and digital equipment. all manipulations and pattern changes were generated by hand.
