incl maxi cd! es ist eigentlich purer zufall, dass sich markus homm und julien sandre wiedersehen. eigentlich kennen sie sich nicht, haben zwar voneinander gehoert, standen sich jedoch nie persönlich gegenüber. erst auf einer voe des hamburger labels diynamic im jahr 2009 kamen sie zusammen, als sie jeweils einen track zu dieser scheibe beisteuerten. nun sind sie wieder gemeinsam auf einer platte zu hoeren. dieses mal auf dem label brise records, wobei es einen kleinen unterschied gibt - sie teilen sich jeweils eine seite. während julien sandre (diynamic, natural rhythm, monique) die a-seite mit zwei techhouse-granaten besetzt, entert markus homm (highgrade, diynamic, ostwind) die b-seite mit zwei überzeugenden groovern. deswegen auch die perfekte kombination aus sympathischem franzosen - julien - und stilvollem deutschen mit wurzeln in rumänien. heraus kommt die tour de carpathia, zu der brise records hiermit herzlich einlädt.

after an incredible whirlwind of a year lee foss returns to the culprit fore with >your turn girl<. foss is the labels most consistent and prolific artist with this ep being his fourth release, solo or as part of hot natured. it is safe to say, lee has become one of the pillars around which culprit is being built. the >your turn girl ep< carries foss signature hallmarks: melodic funk-infused basslines, vocal hooks that grab you from the off and a smooth electronic edge. lees incredibly emotive sound makes him stand out even in the current glut of soulful dance music washing over the global scene. your turn girl � the title track is an epitome of foss >ominous funk< style, playful yet with a distinctly sultry edge. yet another memorable r n b female vocal bit sits on top of some of lees own best synth work. and driven by a killer analogue bassline. >pyramid scheme< �bristles with the disco-inspired propulsive energy. an acid-flecked low end, that comes to the fore mid-way through, a swirling guitar sample, the crisply sharp drums add up to the releases, perhaps, most hands-in-the air moment. >cabin party< continues the themes lee explored with his mega successful hot creations ep. foss eschews the standard house beat yet again, opting for his most organic drums yet, stunningly conceived textures and melodies, with another pair of vocal hooks to die for. finally >warriors< has been a staple of many a culprit dj set for the best part of 2010. lees trademark combination of a terrific electronic bassline, and an unabashedly emotional sample work make for a deep house stand-out tinged with a sense of nostalgia.

einen abwechslungsreichen soundtrack für die vielen facetten, die eine spaßige nacht oder auch ein spaßiger tag im club zu bieten haben, präsentieren die herren kottlet & zadak passend zur kalten jahreszeit. just wait entwickelt eine minimal gehaltene, düstere und mysteriöse spannung, die sich schließlich in einem stehenden subbass entlädt. dessen vom ohr nicht mehr wahrnehmbare anteile erzeugen eine wonnige resonanz an der bauchdecke, die sich mit öffnendem cutoff über den rücken bis hinauf an die schädeldecke ausbreitet. freundlich, hell und auf anregende weise dennoch einlullend kommt danach der titel sunday daher, der in zusammenarbeit mit soukie & windish entstanden ist. mollono.bass lässt das im original humorvoll angesprochene arbeiten am montag mit seinem remix in geradezu phantastische ferne rücken: dubbige echoeffekte und eine extra portion verträumte melodie erwecken den eindruck von fortgeschrittenen stunden. doch auch die schwitzige stoßzeit einer party kommt nicht zu kurz: mit pulsierendem basslauf, dichten percussions und einem deutlichen anflug von swing vor einer soundkulisse, die an einen exzentrischen trickfilm erinnert, erfüllt hut ab alle anforderungen für das, was man landläufig als kracher bezeichnet.

played by loco dice, dubfire, dj t., felipe venegas, anthony collins and many more. es ist eigentlich purer zufall, dass sich markus homm und julien sandre wiedersehen. eigentlich kennen sie sich nicht, haben zwar voneinander gehoert, standen sich jedoch nie persönlich gegenüber. erst auf einer voe des hamburger labels diynamic im jahr 2009 kamen sie zusammen, als sie jeweils einen track zu dieser scheibe beisteuerten. nun sind sie wieder gemeinsam auf einer platte zu hoeren. dieses mal auf dem label brise records, wobei es einen kleinen unterschied gibt - sie teilen sich jeweils eine seite. während julien sandre (diynamic, natural rhythm, monique) die a-seite mit zwei techhouse-granaten besetzt, entert markus homm (highgrade, diynamic, ostwind) die b-seite mit zwei überzeugenden groovern. deswegen auch die perfekte kombination aus sympathischem franzosen - julien - und stilvollem deutschen mit wurzeln in rumänien. heraus kommt die tour de carpathia, zu der brise records hiermit herzlich einlädt.
