Naruto is a midtempo cosmic disco chugger with fragments of spiritual jazz and swampy blues. The remix by R&R is a mix of robot disco & deep techno. Comes on 180 gram vinyl.

Ever since Koji (aka Flatic) from Cos/Mes told me that Naruto was conceived around 'water' as a motif, I knew
this was going to be special. So, after months of preparation King Kung Foo Records is intensely proud to
present you another celebration of the 'themed release'.

DJ Flatic & 5ive, the two Japanese producers behind Cos/Mes, have gob-smacked us with their rich and
colorful mixes, constantly changing the key of this often monotonous industry. Part of a larger crew of multimedia artists, designers and directors, Flatic and 5ive know how to translate visuals into sound like no one else. Naruto opens with a chugging, Cos/Mes trademark rhythm. In from the ocean's depth come the menacing monster grunts. Hard-panned sounds of a dragon licking its tongue interchange with eerie laughter and slowly increase the unease. Towards the end you arrive in a dreamlike ambiance with floating fragments of spiritual jazz and swampy blues slides. Slowly drowning with delight. A perfect storm of pure analogue breaking waves with a frothy crest.

Because the original is such an inspiring multi-layered epic gem, Ronny & Renzo ended up doing two remixes. The first enforces this 12" release with its mind-boggling mix of up-tempo cosmic disco & deep techno. Ever wondered what happens when you combine water & electricity? The second remix will get a separate release on single sided vinyl sometime soon.

The mysterious cover art is an original work on canvas of a grinning Godzilla by Mustone, member of the Tasha Hisha art collective. Is that a smile or is it just showing his ferocious teeth? A great piece of art with a perfectly balanced composition rendering modern-day Japanese painting.

Premastered in Belgium by Saloquin, mastered & cut in Germany and manufactured in the Netherlands, this
slab of 180 gr vinyl bursts with international craftsmanship. Presented in a sexy full color sleeve with an Ultra
Violet finish.

As Coco Chanel used to say: "In order to be irreplaceable, one must always be different."
