making his bbe debut in 2017 with compilation album the languages of tambores, described by the vinyl factory as ancestral, evocative and visceral, italian multiinstrumentalist gabriele poso returns to the label with his new lp awakening. since his debut album from the genuine world, released in 2008 on osunlades yoruba records, gabriele has amassed an impressive catalogue of solo work and guest appearances, not to mention a hectic schedule of live performances. perhaps gabrieles most rounded work to date, awakening captures an artist in full bloom, examining a crossroads between creative and personal paths.

ltd repress !! in dust we trust are back with their second 12- of 2017. this time the two entities, chaos in the cbd and jon sable, offer one side each. on side a, false awakening by chaos in the cbd attacks your brain with open, spacious pads and synthesised melodies that float on top of a dark and hypnotic percussive groove ù the kind that might make you miss your stop because you ve found yourself staring into space. on the flip side you have scumbag unity by jon sable, a loose dreamy track with dubbed-out pads and vocals that glide between a drum machine groove. this marks the second collaboration between jon sable and kroba of archie pelago, who plays the woozy basement-style saxophone that keeps your consciousness hooked. serious tip for those drawn to the deeper side of dance floor-ready records.

for the fourth release on 6dimensions, steve bicknell has delved into the catalogue of the lost recordings series on his previous imprint, cosmic. originally released in 1996, why? and for whom? has been named one of the best uk techno records of all time with bicknell being billed as a criminally underrated producer.

a forthcoming masterpiece of a new artist! - with traces of burning spear and culture in his voice, spiritual s original songs share with buzz artists like chronixx, protoje and alborosie the aims and destiny of reggaes new roots re-generation. production credits are a seal of quality, as there is the main producer clifton -specialist- dillon (producer for alborosie, shabba ranks in the 90ies, world hit by omi and many more) alongside bobby -digital- dixon, who also mixed a good part of the album. the main recording took place at digital b, plus some at anchor, tuff gong and oufah recording studios, with a big credit list of finest musicians, both veteran or new generation of the jamaican scene appearing and with the final mastering touch by kevin metcalfe. additonally iba mahr and droop lion (from the new gladiators) appear as guests for fine combination tunes. -awakening- is an album which might stand alongside classic reggae 70s albums like natty dread (bob marley & the wailers), marcus garvey (burning spear), two sevens clash (culture) and the right time (mighty diamonds) and is available with a new artist introduction price level!

washerman strikes back with 4 versatile tracks and is showing us another side of his brilliant work. after probably almost a hundred of releases and remixes under monikers like sequel or azuni, he gained himself a big reputation as washerman. he founded his own label deep down slam and released also for different labels such as kerri chandler s madhouse to name only one

drumma records presents its second collaboration with romanian duo vinyl speed adjust (vsa). the ep titled the awakening shows us vsas intelligent approach to music, an ideal fit at drumma records where creatively effervescent music is embraced with open arms. the record has 4 tracks. the eponymous the awakening is a special trip between break rhythms, modern jazz and a dreamy perpetual arpeggio. it creates a great mood for artists who want to present something special during their set. a2 is the grind, a very strong and acid track with a powerful evolving bassline that creates perfect suspense. inspired by the 90s, its raw and its analogue, definitely a hot track. monoxide comes with a linear rhythmic pattern and a very deep sub-bass sound fused with trippy synth soundscapes, ideal to put in a mental note during a session. the release is topped off with an amazing remix by the great valentino kanzyani. hes brought his own approach to the grind. the remix is a track with very strong groove and an intelligent evolution that creates small sonic worlds at every turn. valentino knows how to masterfully work a constant crescendo where tension and rest is perfectly resolved and we can feel his approach to techno at its best.

deep, moody, yet powerful techno from the reclusive perfectionist. myles come up with two deeper, slower, moodier minimalistic tracks, venturing in more house territory: *red eye to bogota* and *when i meet god*. both tracks go over 10 minutes during which myles slowly tweaks the rhythmic elements, basslines and chords for your aural pleasure. myles also delivers a more stripped-down uptempo techno track that we love him for, *transmilenio*: its full on repetitive bassline should for sure inflict some dancefloor damage.

elson david is the joint venture of londons duct and owen howells, two of shades of grey recordings co-founders. their first ep, a three-tracker of techy, acid-laced house with tongue-in-cheek nods to uk raving past and present is released on 21st january 2013. the collaboration was born of their shared love of acid house and rave culture, and the desire to do something a bit different to their solo work. both bring considerable talents to bear, ducts classical training and detailed craftsmanship, and owens idiosyncratic grooves and dancefloor focus combine in unexpected ways to produce something that sounds like neither and both.
