oxias classic domino gets reworked for its ten year anniversary - in 2 vinyl parts. a decade after initially seeing the light, oxias now classic domino gets reworked to celebrate its anniversary. the new release features a new cut by oxia himself as well as several remixes by none other than frankey & sandrino, robag wruhme and matador. the ep will be released through agoria’s newly found record label sapiens on february 24th. ten years ago the track made waves in the international dance music circuit, striking up chords with techno, trance and house djs alike to quickly become an all-time classic. having never expected the track to reach the status that it his, its a very dear project to oxia and he needed quite some persuading to give in and let agoria and his team create something that was worthy of the original. the set of tracks are the first officially commissioned remixes by oxia ever. finding remixers took some time, the amazing frankey & sandrino whos track acamar is my absolute favourite of 2015, matador that just launched his rukus label as well is the multi-talented ex label mate at kompakt robag wruhme. they are all incredibly gifted and fortunately patient enough to wait for this ep

unscene record s debut 12-inch release, theme of roman ep , features three modernistic tracks from grecian artists kostas georgoudis and alex dimou (in a b-side collaboration). a1-theme of roman (original mix) initiates the quest by creating minimalistic soundscapes of a cinematic nature, translating to listeners as a prismatic chemistry of iridescent textures, dub, and pitch-shifted voices. a2-palouse (original mix), provides a discourse between vintage aesthetics and futuristic dynamism, rendering a more abstract and atmospheric composition. on the flip side, track b1-mozy (original mix) demonstrates a steady rhythmic bass construction complimented by high-hat variations, while giving rise to a primordial sense of movement and full bodied grooves. wholly, theme of roman ep delivers a cohesive collection of original mixes, all of which stem from various parts of the deep house/ tech house/ minimal techno spectrum.

there is little information available about the band, but the “living funk” documentary changes all that. now the music does the talking here with the extremely rare, no-nonsense funk jazz instrumentals “let your mind take the place of your body” parts 1 & 2.

san francisco based dj al lover’s list of collaborations contain names like the brian jonestown massacre, goat and white fence, and he has remixed bands like the night beats and thee oh sees. except from producing mind-altering music, al lover is also the official dj of levitation and tours europe extensively.
al lover’s double album release zodiak versions on hoga nord rekords (2015) opened up for a beautiful cooperation between the label and the artist and now the two parts are taking it to the next level with the release of the nymphaea caerulea ep. on this picture disc ep, a third player flavors the music and that is cairo liberation front (clf).

during the last ice age glaciers slowly carved away the landscape creating mineral rich sediment. for hundreds of thousands of years melt water carried this fine-grained sediment downstream to parts of north america. in some areas strong winds carried this sediment and deposited it forming a network of ridges and dunes. these deposits of loose silty wind-blown, or aeolian, sediment are called loess. flash forward to the present, and the duo of clay emerson and ian pullman may seem to have gone the way of the glaciers and all but disappeared. instead, their signature loose aural silt has been slowly and methodically accumulating and now makes up their new full-length pocosin. others may have no point of reference and pocosin is a welcome introduction to the sound of loess, in a mere blink of an eye from when they began.

paris, 1954. henri-françois rey wrote the thema of the piece la bande à bonnot and asked boris vian to write the songs in order it to become a musical comedy. la bande a bonnot was the name of a french illegal anarchist group. as soon as the piece was played at théâtre du quartier latin, french authorities made it being stopped. musical parts have been lost. 1971, jacques canetti has been told the original handwritten lyrics of the boris vian songs have been found again. jacques canetti asked louis bessières to re create music parts. 1975, jacques canetti released this record with songs being performed by judith magre, yves robert, lucienne vernay, pierre jamet, kim ibarra, maurice barrier & cécile vassort + 2 bonus tracks whose lyrics were suppsoed to be too for the original spectacle.
