>candy red / hungry horse< is dro careys debut release for hum + buzz. this exciting newcomer from sydney has already made quite an impression, he was named as one of the top ten producers to watch in 2011 by fact magazine and has already collaborated with the former roll deep member trim. dro careys extraordinary music assimilates everything from classic techno and house to rnb, rap, juke and grime, to produce a peculiar skewed aesthetic. on side a, >candy red< places hypnotic other worldly vocals with interlocking melodies, stuttering percussion and subtle bass drops. on the other side, >hungry horse< begins by deploying a haunted female vocal, before morphing into snatches of different fragmented samples and frantic kicks and snares, for an intense narcotic affair.

with the upcoming release of her debut ep warn-u, tri angle is extremely excited to introduce ayshay. born in senegal, raised in kuwait and now living in new york city, fatima al qadiri is the producer and vocalist behind ayshay. fuelled by her fascination with the sacred songs of islam warn-u is a homage and reinterpretation of the sounds that have haunted al qadiri since she was a child. constructed entirely out of her own vocals, which she filtered and layered upon one another warn-u is al qadiris attempt to reconfigure the concept of sacred music as inspiring divine love and divine fear. even in her adoption of the name ayshay, a flippant term which means whatever in arabic, fatima al qadiri seeks to distance the austere values inherent in worship music from her own interpretation of the latter.

moleculez returns to meta4 ready to clear dancefloors with some of his most destructive material to date. you know you are dealing with some serious dance music when none of the tracks on a release have vocal samples. the opening track, future in progress, is blessed with a wonderfully deep kickdrum that would probably even sound good at plus20, although we havent tried that yet. out of a nowhere the track suddenly seems to have stopped when an eerie melody creeps out of the dark. this sets the tone for the rest of the release: dark, driving and threatening. gargoyle is the most driving. lava bomb the eeriest: and future in progress the most threatening. thats what we think, anyway. you decide. the last two tracks on this release are probotector and the haunted. the first is actual textbook honest to goodness industrial hardcore while the latter isnt really anything we can talk about here. highly recommended because we want to sell records
