london minimal techno label trapped ldn turn their attention to new talent rhys samson, who gets freaky from the get go with the snaking beats and threads of psychoactive melodies and found sounds that make up the snappily titled -paramedic to the dancefloor-. cosmjn delivers a very different kind of remix of the original that has a more discoid flavour to it, although it maintains the late night trippiness that trapped prefer overall. -religious clowns- is a deeper jam that seeks to soothe, albeit with plentiful rippling details still coursing through its veins, which alan castro capitalizes on with a remix that gets even more intricate and strange.

let s face it, summer in new york city is sweltering. even with all the windows open and fans on high, it is hard to find refuge in alliance upholstery s chinatown offices. today s sweat though, is due to the -dancer on the shore- ep, the latest release by the brooklyn based band, lemonade (cascine/true panther sounds). -dancer- is a subdued summertime collage of steel drums, buoyant electronic pads and windswept vocals. joined by dee dee from dum dum girls, it is a celebration of the space where humans and nature exist in harmony. originally released digitally as a single on cascine in 2015, the band created a dj friendly extended mix for this release. if you have been to the -air a dancer- party over the last few seasons, you have likely already heard it (sometimes twice in one night!).

for the fifth instance in their reissue series, echovolt records brings us four lush house gems by one of the most influential italian producers. carlo troja aka don carlos. don carlos started as a dj in the late 70s and debuted as a producer towards the end of the 80s with the cult single alone , which pretty soon became one of the anthems of the international deep house scene. inspiration ep focuses on some of his finest productions from the mid 90s that were only available on his rare aqua vinyl promo ep. this releases makes an effort to capture don carlos unique approach on classic house with lot of afro-american jazz sounds and ambient influences, that created a timeless deep jazzy house with a strong mediterranean twist on it!

the next set of the japanese musical tales on hhatri s imprint comes from takecha (aka takeshi fukushima), a producer who has played a part in creating some of the seminal pieces of house music that have originated from japan. his music is characterised by the perfect marriage of experimentation and emotional content. for those that know, takecha s first ep kind of deep released on his own imprint, gwm records, in 1995 is a secret gem among japanese house music collectors. only 100 copies were ever available and it is a subtle reminder of what and how deep house should sound like. takecha provides no less in a tale of shiga four gorgeous tracks that provide some insight into his own creative, albeit humble genius in his approach to producing music. fresh off the press are three previously unreleased tracks with the addition of freak out. released in 1998. tip!
