it is with great joy that we present the first kreattones release. for this first release we picked the talented robot love and his super sentimental track *geometry*. this track is a true masterpiece and reveals great attention to detail and construction, never forgetting the feeling and message. we count also with two outstanding remixes in our premiere. one by the unique john tejada, bringing back memories and transporting the listener into a whole new world, due to the gorgeous and complex melody that he created. and another by ben hoo, exploring the elements and turning the original track into a deep and hypnotic journey, full of content and emotion.

hailing from sunny los angeles, plastic love records kicks off our first release with an ep from label co-boss jimmy maheras. maheras made his debut in 2011 with his space jam ep on the crosstown rebels edit sub-label, rebellion. since then he s released remixes and singles on strainjjur, riff raff, supernature, and left d. maheras s two original tracks showcase his depth with the man from another place being squarely aimed at the big room dance floor and the second track, arecibo, bringing a little kraftwerkesque funk. we ve commissioned timothy j fairplay (crimes of the future) and cottam (aus music / ruff draft) for two very unique remixes. fairplay crunches down the original melody and throws it over the famed amen break to give tmfap a hands in air late night feel while cottam s remix brings the dreamy melody closer to acid with storming late night kick ready to knock down a wall.

teranga beat proudly presents dexter johnson & le super star de dakar in their last performance before their departure to abidjan in 1969. mastered from the original tape this recording captures the energy and quality of these most spectacular performers. the group was led by the inimitable dexter johnson, a saxophonist whose unique timbre influenced generations of horn players in senegal and who can stand with pride next to the great jazz musicians.

lambs musical style is a distinctive mixture of jazz, dub, breaks and drum & bass, with a strong vocal element and, in their later works especially, some acoustic influences. consisting of producer andy barlow, and singer-songwriter lou rhodes, they achieved commercial success with two hit singles *górecki* and *gabriel*, the first one being included on their eponymous debut album (1996).
the music on vinyl reissue features an insert with exclusive liner notes written by lou rhodes, giving a unique inside perspective on the production of the album. apart from the *cotton wool* fila brazilia mix, we have included 2 exclusive bonus tracks that have not been issued on vinyl before. a remix of *trans fatty acid* by acclaimed producing duo kruder & dorfmeister, and the *górecki* global communication mix are featured on the d-side.

at the end of 2013, boston bun released his second ep, *flasher*, on ed banger. the three tracks were hypnotic and tailored for clubs. they were played on the radio (bbc1, le mouv, france inter) and also by the best djs on the electro scene (2manydjs, skream, duke dumont, erol alkan, surkin, boys noize, daniel avery…). boston buns new ep, *we got soul*, is a great step. vocals are more important than ever, it is club music with soul! *we got soul* features bear who? (dj sneaks voice) on vocal. it is an anthem-tribute to the mongoloids, boston buns main influence that adds a contemporary flavour to the special scene. the b-side, *time bomb* (featuring the dj/singer piu piu) is an emotional growing track, between pads and explosion. with such a unique and breakthrough sound, boston bun establishes further more among the french producers who really matter.

both listening hip hop and electronic, raphael henard and maxime denuc started to make music together in 1999. interested at the same time by mainstream tunes and extreme audio researches they try to propose their own interpretation of club music and released a first ep on the french-japanese label sonore in 2011. they have been invited by prestigious festivals and promoters around the world such as sonar (sp), villette sonique (fr), club metro (jp), todaysart (be), dans dakar (sw), les siestes e&#769,lectroniques (fr), universidad de coimbra (pt), nouveau casino (fr), le lieu unique (fr)... succession :struck by the vertigo from pancrace royer while watching the bertand dumont film «l’humanite&#769,» plapla pinky started to include that track in their dj set. after some research in the field of baroque musique they decided to make a mixtape of their favorite tunes of the genre, paying homage to the modernity and emotional power of that era.

sea levels is the brand new ep from andy donnelly aka kloke. a recent graduate of red bull music academy new york and british ex-pat marooned in melbourne for the past decade, donnelly distills the urban groove and bucolic mood of his heritage through the vibrancy of his new environs into a wholly unique soundscape.

the avotre crew comes together and delivers some house bangers. avotre mastermind sante needs no introduction. known for his unique style and various hits on cocoon, desolat and 8bit. he delivers a bangin house track that is set to rock the dancefloors. sidney charles & anna wall collaborate on the b-side with the track >deceit<. sidney has been tearing up the underground house scene for some time now and is known for delievering some dancefloor bangers. anna wall is the newst avotre signing and already has some big shows under her belt. this collabo is a energetic house track that is destined for great things.

the 5th vinyl release for sonora encloses a very unique selection of producers. body & soul, two originals composed by label artist simone venanzi stays true to his sound with both deep and tech structures. for the remixes, we welcome two new artists who have added completely different compositions for each song. eduardo castillos remix of body showcases his unique approach to producing with a very melodic gypset vibe with special use of his les paul for the melody. for soul, boris griggs has given a deep remix with perfect melody recorded on guitar and astounding reverb. all artists have composed incredibly thought out productions unique to their own personal influences making this release an important staple for sonora records.
