a1) aller retour. indeed we do like it very much, when a tune is like a punch – and this one pushes tremendous. underlaid with a sharp kick later, the strongly-held bass line involving from a small stream to an all-compelling stream. on top we receive a very un-christian boot with some oriental like organ-pipes. what more can you expect. oh by the way- there is actually a river in lower saxony with the same name like the track – however has nothing to do with it. b1) nevermind. indicate left and right over. and then a lob shot instead of a straight shot. this is a little what nevermind feels like. an assault from the deep, with a soft climax rather than with brute force. our recommendation for phasing out after an extensive club night

smaul recordings should not be suggestive of being fed by productions of acid pauli, only. however, creative times need being used and martin gretschmann - aka console - member of the notwist - alias acid pauli has collected lots of material whilst the scarce time left last year. on smaul 07 he follows his self-weaved red thread of the year. acid pauli confides more & more in a certain house rhythm paired with these melancholic layered sound-synthesis, already well known by him. astonishing things emerge out of acid paulis musical waves, sometimes even scientially croon quite a bit. nymbiotic (a) comes relaxed but holds a great melody up in the sleeve - seasonly peppered. symbiotic (b) rests bit on minimal house, but acid pauli never relied on that genre. thus, this track does not remain as it seems after three minutes. glitches and sounds break it up to evolve a new symbiosis. symbiotic becomes more timeless in spite of siren-climax peaks and an obsessive string chorus fading in the end.

its been a while since the last release by mark august on connaisseur, but now hes back with an extraordinary one. two tracks, both like a fairytale of a country far, far away. a fable, with mystic and mysterious animals and creatures, might best describe what mark had in mind while working on the tracks. the wasps from tunisia and the silver piggy – the main track on this release is an uncommon piece of music. it starts moody and with a stoic pumping beat, yet also a somehow laidback feeling. it then unexpectedly and surprisingly builds up to a monster of a track, working manically towards its climax. then however, over the length of the track, it completely transforms again, coming back to its beginning, as though nothing had ever happened. scorpions groove is a deep and dubby affaire.

omanko is the only word that is unmentionable in japanese media and public speech. its also the next single from catz n dogz - a strange hybird of cinematic swells, quirky natural drums and popping guitar plucks. its unorthodox groove builds relentlessly, anchored by a shouting chorus and warm bass bubbles that swell from the depths like some massive ancient sea creature. they take their time building to the climax, finishing the track with late-entering keyboard theme that quickly swirls into a frenzy. perfect for tipping that peaktime crowd over the edge! the italoboyz remix completely remolds the groove to fit their distinctive vision, seamlessly integrating shards from the original into their tension-fuelled agenda. breakdowns of varying sizes dominate the sonic landscape, as their annihilating kick plays hide and seek with the strings throughout the track. finally, all the elements are reunited by the echo-drenched vocal line and percussive baritone sax stabs – a satisfying finale to this latenight masterpiece.

played by loco dice, tom clark... a booty call. the title says it all, a call for all booties - big or small - to migrate to the dance floor. an orgy of percussion and low end rumble lift you from your head bobbing slump up against the wall and firmly plants you right in the sweet spot of the dance floor, where the rising energy hits a climax. there is a pause and then the most noticeable sound of the track hits: the booty call. one artist credited with invigorating the kindisch label, is the young frankfurt based producer daniel mehlhart, whose first (and hopefully not last) release, origami was a highlight of last summer. in his booty call remix, one can immediately hear his style thrust into the main groove of the track, injecting it with a heavier feel and bringing forth a whole slew of new effects and sounds including a hypnotizing african vocal. this marks a small milestone as the 20th release of the label.

hertz presents his brandnew release for the fall of 2008. the man himself shows us once again what an excellent producer he is. perfectly engineered and mixed resulting in a cristal clear sound. heavy kicks, acid like sounds on the a-side that reminds us a bit of the megasmashing hit recreate on reloop. groovy and uplifting all the way, in typical hertz style, with all his experience he knows how to make the crowd move! the flip is of equal strength and turns a wicked bassline into a crazy grooving track. building and building to the climax, you can hear the crowd screaming for more when played in any dj-set! hertz stands for pure quality and you know it!

again the tracks were selected carefully, each of them strong on personality and waiting to burst out and put the willies up anyone who believes that techno can be pigeonholed. cue bjorn svin (of mand over board fame) and a brooding monster of a tune that briefly saw a release on his excellent 1999 lp benene pa nakken and was included on the la monde (aka len fakis) at the wheels of steel mix cd the following year. believe that this track is a killer one of those inspired pieces of techno that sticks in your head for days after hearing it for the first time next up label boss jerome hill lets his bass out in the comedic rel und pol, a dancefloor workout with a syncopated speech running throughout. flip over for rob stow and im going to kill her put simply this is nasty (in a nice way) a riff that tears you a new one and edits and tricks galore, this ones gonna give the speakers a battering! last but certainly not least, switzerlands ki yota from mercurochrome and mental industries steps up to deliver us an apocalyptic anthem with wowwow bass, that swiss percussion and lead riffs all snaking around, finally building to a satisfying climax over and out

excellent & deep masterpiece!! one of the more interesting newcomers of 2007, we are delighted to welcome a new ep by october, his first for perspectiv. having turned heads with three singles on his own label caravan, octobers organic techno cuts and thuds, adding an inherent physicality to his productions. a side title track >say again< revolves around a female vocal loop, fuzzing and throbbing with pulsed melodic tone, punching live percussion and deep bass line. a highly unconventional mix, this composition ties together effortlessly, peaking with a deep and droning wave of analog synth and popped beats. b side >go outside< is an after hours treat. a darker, deeper and altogether more ethereal work, stuttering beats are glued together with a warm prodded synth melody. to close, resonant percussion and phased keys submerge the track into a claustrophobic climax.
