>burnt chrome< is edwin james aka currogated tunnels first release on district of corruption that he held until the right label came along. edwin was determined to get this 10 minutes techno track onto vinyl without making any exceptions. soon after doc decided to sign track, richie hawtin added it to his favorites and hundreds of plays + comment.
the burnt chrome ep also features a more forward new school rave remix from doc head, aaron hedges, and simon beeston (doc / highgrade). this mix is a redux of the melodic beauty of the original with a more raw and percussive drive.

one year later the label panacustica delivers a slamming second twelve inch rats mother followed by a brilliant prins thomas remix, plus a detroit inspired instrumental by stay gold, argentoÆs alter ego. the record opens with a dreamy version where a plucked string intro and rats voice drive you into a deep, cinematic, adult dance groove. this laid back, psychedelic track flows well beyond your usual dance floor act into eno-esque territories. prins thomass mix is faster, happier and jumpier. its an amazing balearic trip with a live warm feel to it in which a guitar plays along the melody, accentuating the spaced out feel of the track, lifting it into higher states. stay gold gives the listeners a techno version where sparse, mechanical drums and a minimized melody take us to the motor city (citta dei motori) for a night drive in the dark. own it, feel it, play it loud.

fans of the itchy robot sound will go mad for this release as it has all his trade mark production technics glitchy beats and deep b-lines rule, are you ready to funky is the cry you hear from the intro. then from the drop the drums take over and with the screeching synth and power bass matched for effect. esoteric sound delivers a similar sounding track although it rolls along a bit smoother with a pounding driving b-line, and echoed out one beat vocal hook.

velvet: a great techno classic gets the full c series overhaul. bang up to date and a perfect floor filling package. tribal percussion rattles along with a speaker throbbing bassline which drops seamlessly into that well known synth from the original. the main lead is then tinkered, wrapped around, and flipped to breathe new life and give us a new shade of velvet. intergalactic:doesnt need much of an introduction, the title pretty much gives it away. the beastie boys go techno! another dance floor smash and grab here beastie style. vocals used effectively.. not too much not too little but with the fused with the rest of the track it brings out so much energy, the percussion, the toms in the background, the stabs throughout the track makes everyone in the room jump!
