jürgen karg’s career in music began in the 1960s as bass player for german jazz legend wolfgang dauner. it was not until the 1970’s that he switched his attention to electronic music, launching himself wholeheartedly into exploring the genre and building up an extensive collection of synthesizers over a five year period. his efforts culminated in “elektronische mythen”, a mighty opus of experimental music which reveals new aspects every time it is played. jürgen karg’s music is deeply serious, as vexing as a jamais vu, yet absolutely beautiful. “elektronische mythen” is an album which fits like a puzzle piece between the first and second soundtracks for a clockwork orange. it’s worth to check it out!

dieter moebius is a renowned experimental krautrock / electronic musician (cluster, harmonia), conny plank is a legendary sound engineer. they recorded five albums together, the last one being *en route* (recorded 1986, released 1995). it transports us to moebius and planks customarily audacious, bizarre, wonderful and definitively unique world of sound, noise and rhythm. *en route* is hip electronic music, yet it steers well clear of the mainstream. includes three remixes by manu guiot. pressing on 180 gram vinyl.

for the first solo ep on horror boogie, fedka the irritant steps up, after his outstanding track on horror boogie 01. fedka the irritant is probably best known as the trombonist in the excellent band pest (ninja tune), alongside ben pest (panic bridge, victim, bonus round). he is also a seriously original and versatile producer in his own right. he has released on panic bridge, alongside the other pest members and his trombone techno live sets are something to behold. here, he drops four varied tracks, starting with the behemoth >words for friends<. a heavy slice of wonky techno, with a big kick and rasping synth. next up is one uncertain eyebrow. a building, funky, fuzzy acid-laced track that drops harder and harder as it goes on. on side b, calypso-flavoured, jazzed up >stick it< progresses on to a become a warbling bass effort with a smooth hip-hop vocal. last but not least, is >you only die once<, another funk-laden monster, with a killer slap bass line.
