after releasing space control an intergalactic journey into synthesizers, back in 2012, the theremynt duo went on to release a successful, if steady, stream of eps, including robotique de l amou r and vampiros discos (a tribute to brazilian filmmaker ze do caixao). with remixes coming from the likes of david carretta, acid washed and club bizarre, these were playlisted by scene djs such as marvin & guy and ivan smagghe, amongst others. now yann and eva are striking back with their second lp, parallels. it s a record that sees them changing their colour palette and mood, but one that s still haunted by ghosts that lurk within their synthesizers and drum machines. the 10 tracks still exhibit peel s ever shifting vocal style and yann s sophisticated arrangements. but the second lp oscillates between ballad and dancefloor, landing between cosmic disco influences, krautrock and other progressive techno sounds. as a bonus, the album also features a cover of famous 80 s anthem self control. (raf & laura branigan).
following toju kaes critically acclaimed debut *villa/11 rooms*, the young vienna-based producer offers us with his new album *unfold* an outstanding collection of tracks that contrary to the detail-loving beautifully arranged first output shows a distinct rougher and downscaled side of his music. ranging between the sticky crowded dancefloor and the safe haven of ambient roots it hints at, the album, released through swiss label neopren records, still unfolds its own room of both subtlety and drive as well as a much-needed sense of buoyancy and a certain impression of forward movement. with a new and unexpected feeling for roughness and spontaneity and some great avant-garde moments (buscheli), unfold is a marked progression, both in terms of composing and producing, in the career of the artist.
after theremynts lp space control – a journey into electronic music offered by jan richard & eva peel, the trip goes on with this new ep talking about human and robot love, one of theremynts favourite theme (rachel rosen - on the first album was inspired from philip k.dick *do androids dream of electric sheep* aka blade runner).
in his debut album *villa / 11 rooms* florentin berger-monit aka toju kae wants to take us on a journey through his world and creates eleven unique, fantastic soundscapes, so intriguing and haunting that they will make you listen to the album again and again. in this concept album toju kae carries us through 11 very detailed and rich, but at the same time never overloaded tracks that perfectly showcase his proficient producer skills and his attention for detail.
nice price deal !!! after between us , the 12inch that got massive support from adam beyer, laurent garnier and many others, humantronic comes back with a 3-track record born around boxhagener platz, his headquarters in berlin. with pumping beats and shaking basses, frenetic synth chords turning into hystery, this release brings the pure and fascinating techno that has made the brand humantronic inevitable in the new tech scene.
FRENCH ELECTRIC UNDERGROUND (2X12 CLEAR RED VINYL)
coloured 2x12" Vinyl l D10.08.16
nice price deal !!! so: yes! - the french underground is alive and thriving. yes! - its rich and colorful! and no! - it doesnt care much for surfing the trend wave or satisfying the average taste bud. french electronic underground, which can also be read as feu - meaning fire, is a 13 song compilation showcasing the rich electronica scene thats been steadily brewing behind the tired four-to-the-floor french wall-of-sound export. the record was conceived to showcase the most unique and thoroughly gallic modern sound hybrids and sure shot fire starters. stylistically, the lp falls somewhere between experimental pop, rock infused electro, 80s geek-o-tronica, singer song-glitch-writer material and avante-tech. each song on the compilation was not only cherry picked for writing, production quality and originality, but also for a strong sense of personality and a distinct artistic signature. feu is a compact collection of sonic hyperlinks leading to a network of clubs, galleries, studios, and basements scattered all over paris and throughout france, where the sonic experiment continues.
incl david carretta remix, somewhere between dirty house, krautrock / electro d deviant techno, it is an uplifting track made for the dancefloor. the three remixes are following the tracks original path pushing it to its edges
three release from neopren and black fox musik for one special price! contains these 3 eps:
neo025: l kubic & tagtraeumer - the only thing in this world
bfm014: trockensaft ‎,– drunken sailor
bfm016: toureau ‎,– melanchromantic
rummage in some boxes of my favourite record store i found a cover that made me curious. l kubic & tagträumer² - the only thing in this world and on the flipside a remix by alle farben. when placing the needle at the beginning of the vinyl the first sounds were very strange. i thought that must be a record from the 60s lost in the tech-house box but than a straight beat turned everything different. a piano melody slowly sat down firmly in my ear and i was longing to know where the journey takes me. after a while an acidline pushed everything and i was sure at this time this is not a normal 4/4 tech-house record. alle farben remixed the themes very playful and i heard that he gives the elements more pressure for the club. so at the end i bought this one and i cannot imagine taking this unique record ever again out of my record case.
after almost 4 years of silence tolcha are back with neustadt, another intense and suspensefully cinematic full-length lp. like the title of the record suggests, the berlin based four piece decided to pursue a neo-retro vision of a sonic after-future with this one. what does that mean? the record clearly leans on a motorik aesthetic, but all the while redefining it with modern production techniques and surges of their very own breed of dub, rather than rehashing genre related cliches.
first only available via decks.de !!
after their first track wonder on compilation french electronic underground (neopren 2011), theremynt duet is pursuing his pop synth quest with a new ep silenzio, also part of their forthcoming album space control due to come out on record label neopren next spring.
upper-league nyc based producer duo animaltek bring us another dancefloor filler, straight, percussive, with ping and bang and boom! and as a special goody, a full techno remix by mister humantronic, fat and hard and dancy. supported by laurent garnier, xpansul, patrick lindsey, the youngsters, milly de mori, m.i.d.i, mihalis safras,...
skinnerbox, thats also two gentelmen, one of them immigrated from a far away country and both living in berlin now. in their boxes theres no devil but there are grandpas old synths, funnily and heavily beeping and bumping beats and basses, joy and fun as in godizllas playroom. and then comes mister humantronic, his remixs, finest tech that will wake up the beast even where no beast was ever before. a record to love and to pamper!

born and raised in tokyo, living in berlin since may 2007, akiko kiyama presents on neo010 two wonderful minimal- tracks, synthetic, acrylic, rough and raw, sober and straight, shy and yet damn clubby. akiko - whose delicately reduced musical style is partly defined by some earlier 12 inch releases on m-nus creates a fragile and surprising cosmos of subtle rhythmical structures and wobbling guttural waveforms, all this combined with this very special female approach that people all around the globe seem to love more and more. for those who like it a little bit less minimal, there are two remixes included. we have one by humantronic, the minitech (or tech?) berserk from france, who re-establishes an industrially strict balance of pumping and knitting sounds, with almost trancy elements good and healthy food for the club community
if zox was a sculptor, his works would be angled and polished, simple and magically effective. no sound on this record (which is called >more fluff<, which astonishes me) hangs around too long between the acrylic clear beats, the square waves are bellied and cold as vodka from an iceberg, the higher frequencies refreshingly cool as hills in the highlands, and straight lines are the dominating theme by far. this is dance music in itself. the basses live in rich bounteousness which is strictly controlled, though. why boom it when you can bang it? perfect shapes, functional beauty and a refreshing taste will rock you.
his name is rené breitbarth, he s from cologne/germany, living now in berlin, he s quite well known already, of course, and he s been into making music for quite a while now. he also co-founded other labels, but we from neopren are tolerant and like him all the same… we all have to collaborate, other labels are friends and not enemies, and the neopren-records are easy to recognize anyway, thanks to the wonderful artwork! this 007 >graveyard swing< .release consists of two fantastic, pumping minimal tracks. the bassdrums go as deep under your skin as the most expensive bodylotion, the entire bouquet of the tracks is nicely balanced, and an entire basket full of rippling pearly ingredients will make many of you ask yourselves the >wuttisdatsound<- question…
high quality double a from scandinavia a side feat a slamming techhouse track by apoll with cool 303 lines and a sweet female vocal flip over for hakan lidbos frivolous lola with sexy vocal samples, kinky drums and synth sounds as sweet as a toothache
minimal as dry as the tundra, bassdrums with the charm of a frozen lasagna, and along with these are served various audiosplinters and mean little sound coming out of nowhere. this all together will make your ears shake and your legs vibrate. misc. cut and chopped this track in many little pieces and rebuild it all new, so every sound can live and grow in a completely new environment. two flowing-staccato tracks in slender and elegant colours..
