it is about time for a record from label founder dario zenker. dont ask why it took so long, but be sure it wasnt the last one. and what a record this is, after several great releases on labels like vakant, harry klein records or time to express, dario’s debut on his own imprint is another example for his unique and mature sound. his studio just as his music has grown over the years. 10 am sounds like an earthquake, raw and dirty, it builds up so much energy that even babensham starts to shake. farrel on the other side is best described as deep break beat techno. it shows the diversity of darios productions and diversity combined with a certain signature is a great mix in our opinion. so enjoy it or not, dance or put your hands in your pockets, share some love or be a hater, no matter what we like u.

christoph abele aka catekk is very young but an adept. for years not only resident-dj of the legendary club flex in vienna but also live-act, sound engineer and together with christopher groove a promising producer-duo. even though catekk and groove have only been working together since 2010, they already produced for scene-headliners such as felix da housecat or marco bailey. however, catekk not only produces thrilling pieces for the just named heroes - his own releases can be found in countless vinyl bags and dj-charts. now the label houztekk records is releasing a long hidden jewel from catekks live-repertoire.

the number 13 my be considered unlucky by some, but not so far italians. fittingly, for uzuri 013 we welcome back leopoldo rosa aka lerosa for his third release on the label - his first being back in 2007 on uzuri 001. this new 12 inch precedes his forthcoming full length release for the label.

it’s with a lot of excitement that archipel’s boss himself releases a vinyl extract of his album’s favorite tracks. while the album which consist of 2 cds, we thought some of the works would fit well in the hands of collectors who would push the tunes in their quirky sets. the opening track, titled “big trouble in little cave” is one that could haunt a techno party in berlin where in the breakdown, things just go out of control and while you think you can’t take anymore, the music takes you back to earth. tests have proven to be used with care, reports indicate some people reacted with a lot of noise. “dérape totale” is perhaps a cross of four tet releasing on raster noton. awkward combo indeed but the strange structure on top of weirdly arranged percussion is set to catch your attention and draw you into an inner journey. with the chance of having manchester’s dncn join him for vocals, pheek goes with his first interpretation of what a pheekie-pop tune could be: fun, intriguing and catchy! >follow the flow< is the closing track and is one build tension with surprising exploding percussion clashes on top of melodic waves.

the dj-duo-team johnas belardinelli & vincenzo busceti are known for their fantastic soulful house partys in switzerland & they always have the right choice of the musically selection during their dj sets. but this is not their only talent as you can hear in this production. «my way» is featured by the fantastic voice of carlos santanas singer tony lindsey, who brings the track to the right level for a purple release

track 5, a previously unreleased single meant for >the days of mars< album, but ultimately deemed out of place on the record, begins with the slow reveal of a repeating electronic ring atop a rising, falling, sine-curving synth. with each additional layer—a piercing, urgent synthesizer, a deep, continuous, ever-expanding rumble, the sound of a guitar, awash in reverb—the atmosphere thickens. its both restless and placid, anxious and tranquil. just over ten minutes in length, the track closes with a chorus of high-pitched synths that fade to a sparse, darkened end. this 12-inch, very likely gonzalez and russoms last, also features a remix from Âme, comprised of germanys kristian beyer and frank wiedemann. the house duo wholly transforms the a-side into a track so unrecognizable it seems brand new, taking it far from the introspective dreamworld to a dance party in the sweaty, blissed-out, wee hours of the morning

>les patates<, the fresh new rrygular release by tassilo, one half of pan-pot, is not an homage to french agriculture but a serious techno smasher with high club potential. at first, theres just a nice party atmosphere and … then this rough beat drops in! the small potatoe >petite patate< surprises by adding rudimental elements like the hihat and snare drum always a little late. but you have the feeling you havent missed something yet. this number just sneaks from behind and lulls you in with billowing pads until you sense the final rave sound as a self-evident consequence of it all. the message by g-tech right before the drop proves right - there is not a lack of vibration here! its all about the mixture … and in this case its just felicitous: male choir, clanking cymbals and finally the riff that this track subsists on. tassilo knows how to send the short melody-figure through the different stages of sound design, even though it might have been lively enough without it. this gives the big potatoe >grosse patate< a level of dynamic, that most contemporary techno releases just dont provide.

when we released aardvarcks nosestep as part of his well well well ep in the summer of 2007 it cause quite a stir in the then formative dubstep scene, almost anybody played that track. now we re-release it with a new version by cosmin trg, who transformed it into a strong acidic stepper, 2010 style. on the b-side we find an unreleased nubian mindz remix from aardvarcks spoken release from 2001. we didnt release it at the time, but with the whole new future house movement coming strong, the timing couldnt be more perfect

2010 has seen some juicy, off-the-wall techno/electronic vinyl goodies from the head space of little nobody, including the acclaimed >metropolis how?< and >robota< records - with remixes by the likes of james ruskin, justin berkovi, inigo kennedy, dj hi-shock, si begg, patrick pulsinger and steve stoll. but its the originator of the tracks who continues to push the perimeters, recently leading hi-shock, the prolific innovator behind the essential elektrax empire, to suggest that honestly, i think you are at least a couple of years ahead in your musical vision compared to other producers. little nobodys alter ego andrez bergen has also had his head buried this year in the creation of a hardboiled/noir/sci-fi novel called >tobacco-stained mountain goat<, and it was in the midst of this project - with these heady influences - that the get away from it all 12-inch project came to light. thus we got on board bas mooy (planet rhythm/audio assault) and dave tarrida (tresor/musick) to do the two scintillating re-takes here, which are downright brilliant. meanwhile little nobodys troll, on the flip-side, lives up to its claim: its hardboiled and devastatingly dirty electronica. all up, think streetwise, smack-your-glitch-up techno - dark, uber-bassy, dirty and pulsating - just the way we like it, with sardonic samples and a freestyle, postmodern attitude thats invigorating. matched up with the cool artwork by marcin markowski, this is an essential slab of wax for 4:00 am head-caving techno!

the most favourite of italian producers, bottin, returns with an old project. tinpong is a collaboration between bottin and swiss singer joy freypong. these tasty masters were just gathering dust on an old hard disc in venice but when we heard them we just had to get these gems out there.
the first of the tinpong material is a cover version of a duran duran classic. set dials to 1982, >new religion< is of course one of the standout tracks from the classic >rio< album.

for this tune hem and terrible shock take apart an 80s soul lp, add some sci-fi synths, lazy drums and a sprinkling of analogue fx. after many painstaking hours of recording the duo take a well earned coffee break, then return to the studio just in time to see the back of the light-footed blunted robots man shortstuff as he runs off chuckling >your vocals are mine now!<. revenge plans are made, vehicles are fuelled up in preparation ? but these activities are cut short by the arrival of an email from the culprit ? it seems that he took the files back to his hq for what he describes as a refix ? with the engines still running, hem and shox check out the file and find it to be a work of genius ? what they hear is an accelerated kaleidoscopic fusion of on-beat claps and snares in a peak-time northern soul style, super heavy subbass hits and hectic syncopated keyboard chops.

audioflys supernature label welcomes into the fold zev of wolf & lamb with his betta days ep. arguably 2010s hottest name, wolf & lamb has become a force of nature in electronic music with a string of cross-genre releases from their deftly curated label and amazing parties worldwide. zev, alongside w&l co-owner gadi mizhari, has become synonymous with quality and this debt ep for supernature shows why. alright is a track that sounds like little else out there but its warming vibe and clever touches make it seem nicely familiar. its folksy licks, brutal snares, chopped breaks and ethereal r&b vox are all combined with the sort of alchemic skill that has made the wolf & lamb outfit so exciting.

only for the kids is the brainchild of adrian betra blim record label manager aka scandal! rec. organizer and promoter of events and productions including vinyl ... he founded the evenings scandale! and the label and newly paramaniac evenings sassy yes! weekend! ...
this project is a real mix of meetings and artists from the electronic music scene and rock, including the creation and mixing: benjamin mathevet aka kushinbo and laura knight singer of rock band puss in boots .... the aim of the project is not necessarily to play on stage but more to create danceable disc, sharp and strongly colored with the colors of the label scandale (sexy sushi, toxic avenger, t. raumshmiere, djedjotronic, etc. ...).

hotel motel is the brand new dance music project from bill brewster of dj history/low life fame and alex tepper. heavily soaked in old school vibes, while plugged right into contemporary developments in the underground house music scene, hotel motel make excellent home tapers! for their first release on the imprint they work an absolutely killer house groove around a raw old school sample to produce the totally wicked >eye no<. this cut has classic grooves written all over it. simple, but 100% effective. it defines exactly what home taping is all about. on the flip, the burnt island casuals (aka the revenge and legendary sub club resident dj harri) throw all of their joint experience and love of house music at the original, bounce it off the studio walls and rework it into a warehouse bomb that will have you licking the walls for more. 100% house music with bits. play it all night long!!

innerwestsoul is an anonymous, sydney-based crate digger who claims influences as wide as art blakey, tony blackburn, joni mitchell and streetsounds electro, and credits first and foremost where it all began with his dads original 1970s home made motown, soul and disco mixtapes. turntable tweaking and re-editing tracks since 1985, his original productions utilised nothing but a razor blade and a roll of sticky tape to keep the music flowing. fast forward to the 21st century, and he continues to apply the same diy philosophy to his digital productions, creating tracks with real drama, continually diving deep into the infinity of musical history to find those rare nuggets of pure musical gold, then sharing them with the world
