leeds based duo death on the balcony return to seven music after dropping their party perspectives ep on the label in march of this year. mark caramelli and paul hargreaves have been busy boys over the last few years, releasing on esteemed labels such as culprit, pets, silver network and airdrop. their years of experience as djs and record collectors shines through in the pairs productions, but what sets the guys apart from the rest of the rat race is the amount of depth and emotion they manage to pack into their tracks. music that will easily stand the test of time and sound equally as good on the dancefloor, as it will on the headphones!

hirofumi goto aka rondenion made his debut releases on still music back in 2005. shortly after, he released a streak of detroit infused house 12 on rushhour, aesthetic audio and more to great critical acclaim. a dj and producer born in japan. he began working as a recording artist in the late 90s under the name hirofumi goto, and released his global debut, >ameria ep<. it drew attention for its dark beats, unusual for a japanese artist, and was played by top djs like derrik may. he changed his name to rondenion to show respect to chicago and detroit, and began working on an overseas release. ultimately, his love bound ep was released by major labels such as >rush hour< and became a big hit. it reached the top on the rushhourstore sales chart, and became popular in europe. in 2012 he formed >ragrange symphony< with his old friends no milk and kez ym, and he is currently working on a number of projects for his own record label, >ragrange records<.after being approached by roundabout sounds for a remix, discussions shortly after were directed towards a plan for releasing rondenions debut album on both vinyl (roundabout sounds) and digital (plug research). the result is the luster grand hotel debut album, ready to drop in september 2013. luster grand hotel is the most accomplished project from rondenion, an absolute blend of detroit and chicago house, reminiscent of the music from moodymann, theo parrish and rick wilhite. a must have for any real house music fans.

after the recent success of their expansive debut full length on idle hands and while they bask in the glory of their recently well received resident advisor podcast, jacob hodge and matt lambert push on with a new ep on bristols futureboogie. to date outboxx have fomented their own ebullient house style that is imbued with a keen sense of uplifting melody, plenty of analogue dust and some heavyweight bass, largely on bristol based labels, and this new ep sees them continue in that fine form.

gutts are a jaded wrestling double act that were much celebrated in the golden era of uk wrestling in the 1980s. after a slow-decline into inactivity and relative obesity they decided to make a comeback in 2013 as an electronic music band called gutts. both neil landstrumm and alan hostage have recently reached peak-fitness through circuit training and eating salad for dinner, toning up for this new heavy-hitting vinyl release on glasgows horror boogie. both were last seen, exiting landstrumms analogue graveyard shouting *not the ears, not the ears* and *i demand to be treated like a sultan*. no further details were available at this time.

ghostek is a russian garage and techno producer currently residing in moscow. he has previously released vinyl on other heights and shiprec, and has collaborated with rooflight as ghostlight, releasing a 12 inch on styrax. a prolific producer, his tracks have created a substantial online fan base, with some of his productions reaching tens of thousands of plays. he runs the digital label squared harmony. the *no way out ep* is composed of four tracks, two very garage leaning, two more towards techno, all reminiscent of londons music scene, despite the producers russian location. the dark atmosphere of the music is reflected in the artwork and track names across the release. sub squared is a new label, a sub-label of project squared which has a back catalogue including tracks by kowton, and, asusu and tom dicicco. the aim of this new label is to represent the taste of one of the two founders of project squared.

horo gives true artists the freedom to represent the full extent of their talent and it is not often the cerebellum is truly engaged with the genre we have grown from but music for the mind is one of our over-arching ideals. and so we come to *scope*, the 10th release, a full length compilation spread over 5 vinyl 12 inches. deviating somewhat from our vinyl only position up to this point, given the scale and magnitude of this project scope will also be released on cd & digital, although there will also be 5 vinyl only tracks by way of thanks to the vinyl buyers that have supported the label up to this point. 24 tracks of uncompromising, innovative music from horo mainstays and new artists alike, scope represents where we have come from, but moreover, where we will be going. this is just the beginning.

cambridge resident samuel emerson iliffe, aka ill life, is driven by a penchant for warping things. akin to warping his sonorous surname into the ill life moniker, he warps formely innocuous techno fare into a clangorous, concussive march of living, breathing percussion. samuels sonics seemingly owe a considerable amount to recent innovations from the likes of blawan or perc trax alumni, however his only fault is taking part in the phenomenon of synchronous innovation. before karenn coalesced, before clouds newest offerings started being rinsed, ill life had long since moulded his sound. it is infinite machines infinite regret to have discovered him so belatedly. but there is no use crying over spilled trax.

last time we visited satta outside we have been blown away by the music of young lithuanian producer 96wrld who had a couple of singles with monday jazz and renegades of bump. we signed him right away and we are excited to finally share with the world his debut ep *private language* on 12 inch vinyl, limited to 300 copies. a collection of eight tunes that showcase 96wrld s potential as a producer and songwriter that embraces different composition styles, typically in a single tune. his arrangements are complex and give away all detail only on repeated listen. however, tracks like bruce willis can put any club to pieces easily ... test yourself.

vitalik recordings welcomes sam russo to the ranks with the rather fantastic vanishing test ep. sams production skills defy his years, his style defined and his sound signature. his trained ears have been sought after by the likes of craig richards, matt tolfrey and huxley in recent studio collaborations. his music is non-categorical genre speaking however his influences permeate his music, dub and bass play key roles, darkness and light coexist in a dynamic juxtaposition, bright expansive pads soar over rumbling kicks and moody bass lines.

rising fast from the east coast of the usa, dissonant is proud to present andrew m. oritz, a producer and dj who has spent his life immersed in dj culture. having earnt his stripes as a dj across countless clubs in new jersey and new york, as well as further afield in florida, his explorations into production have fed into this first full artist release, fitting perfectly into the ongoing narrative of dissonant.

while this album could have gone down a rather obvious route, with the remixers of the asphodells album *ruled by passion…*, andrew weatherall looked a little closer to home.
mainly revolving around the axis - the group of locally-based producers who can be spotted in and out of weatheralls shoreditch studio bunker - reworkings from the likes of phil kieran, scott fraser, hardway bros, justin robertson and ivan smagghe soon came to light.
this idea lead to a broad range of styles with something for everyone. we have stopped arguing in the office about which is the best track. they all are.

after three sold out releases on gamm the edit king the reflex is back with vol.4 in his re-vision series! this time around he goes slightly more rare groove-ish than before with three amazing re-edits.

after the buzz generated by the duos previous release on our number 015, here we have the second instalment of the series. oscar mulero and christian wunsch have joined forces in the studio and made four new cuts of spatial futuristic techno. with the minimum elements, it is hypnotic, rough and repetitive.

laurent garnier on tribute & fantasy ep: since the very first ep arno released a few years back on his own imprint, i have been a big fan of his productions. arno has always stood apart from the so-called hype and has developed his own style of trippy-as-hell dancefloor grooves.

fcl is the pairing of two reputable producers in the underground house circuit, namely san soda & red d, individually and under the fcl guise, both artists have made a huge impact, although retained a quality over quantity approach, with only a string of releases out there on the likes of we play house, ferrispark, and delusions of grandeur. although these singles acted a striking indication of quality with each one garnering huge support from the masses, especially the duos critically acclaimed lets go, on the 2010 vocals for everyone ep

principal records follow up the superb debut from s & m with the m from that partnership (that man monkz) alongside the mysterious mr. vasir. as before it is the finest, roughed up soulful house which could just as easily have emerged from detroit as sheffield. mr moncrieff is going from strength to strength! fellow steel city heavy-hitter and exciting new talent squarehead handles the remix, turning in a rough and ready club workout that really hits home.

stephan schindler aka kryptic universe aka lockertmatik is a german electronic music producer with a preference for analogue gear. he has a distinct 90s techno and house sound signature without sounding dated or overnostalgic. after making waves on his own (vinyl only) lockertmatik imprint, he got full recognicition through his ep on shtum (uncanny valleys sublabel).
thank something for the interweb, otherwise we might have never been able to get in touch with this obscure talent. we are proud to introduce him in our roster with this fantastic ep, showcasing all of the above mentioned. midnight michigans detroit inspired machine funk, woodbridge st. tearjerking acid bassline & strings and, last but not least, the ridermans fierce analogue bassline and fearless drum programming brighten the catalogue of wolfskuil ltd in many, beautiful ways.

alba (formerly albatross), have combined an immaculate eye for detail and warmth with their brand new release, knokke / law. the sydney duo have been hard at work perfecting their live show and supporting the likes of four tet, mount kimbie and gold panda for the past year so everyones appetite is whet for more tunes! a-side knokke comes out strong with the dogged drive of 909 hats and kick, over deep ominous noise and re-pitched vocals.

so this is why we founded van doumen. it is a rework sublabel, completely based on original doumen material, following the idea of tracks that work in dj sets, but still have the doumen spirit. the first record was done by scherbe (uncanny valley, big bait, ..), philipp matalla (kann records, internasjonal spesial, ..), webermichelson (holger) and potensia (modern soul, ..). the first two tracks are superb club smashers, followed by an angry caricature monster of techno and finally potensia walks you home in the most intimate and beautiful way possible. to be honest, we say this record as a first step of van doumen is a classic already.
