londons dogmatik label goes from strength to strength and after the success of the dusky – flojam ep, they deliver yet again with peace divisions mighty blacklight sleeze. opening with the dirty and sexy remix by dyed soundorom this one show to be for the true house playas who want their tracks bassline driven, sexy and full of tension high. on the flip we got man of the moment gerd spicing things up and preparing his acid sleaze mix ready for the sleaziest darkrooms. his tough sleaze mix is going straight for the main floor with a heavy pulsating bass setting the tone with hypnotic vocals on top in a classic and timeless chicago house way. a solid 12 inch release.

a fistful of wax is an extension for some very special projects of our beloved deep house skylax records sub – label wax classic. for this first release, we give you the opportunity to grab 5 fantastic trax done by some of the best deep house producers at the moment. a1 is done by the great girogio luceri whose been releasing some very hot tunes through jamal moss mathematics & runaways on the prowl labels. a2 is done by jamie trench one of the new hot producer made in london, his track sound very very garage & we loved it instantly. while on the b side we have again 3 bomb tracks featuring first on b1 jackmaster k who delivers clearly an anthem, it reminds us some of best house music made in uk (circa 91/92), this track could have been played by sasha & digweed or carl cox at shoom ! b2 is marcoradi , an italian producer who teamed up with the great nicholas on one his 4lux release. he also produced many remixes (erykah badu ect ...) & some 12 inches over the years. b3 is rio padice from rawax & housewax fame those tracks are all firmly rooted into the deep house sound (check the detroitian vibes of get back). they never settle into one comfortable, predictable groove. its heady, emotion-rich grooves include warm, melodic two-step and future garage flavas, dubwise slo-mo grooves. its eclectic, no doubt, but thanks to those guys warm production and heavy deep vocals, this release will put your hands up in the air marvellously.

as emotional rescue continues to deliver the goods for those who love discofied rarities from the 70s and 80s, here comes this ep from kevin harrison, originally released in 1982 and worth a pretty penny second hand. it is a wistful, proggy kind of groove that finds harrisons voice lost in an alien phaser while the live band feel gels with synthesiser parts for a fluid kind of cosmic goodness. there is simply no arguing with the plush melodic wonderment of >views of the rhine<, while >fly< is the jam the party djs will reach for, not least for its slinky bassline. amazing.

nice price deal !!! dennis busch is an artist who is well-known to all pingipung fans for his >james din a4< contributions to our catalogue. this man of many faces has also developed a reputation as visual artist. therefore he decides to present his music under the same name: dennis busch - which we think might be his real one. dennis busch has delivered an enormous output of odd, melodic techno tracks in the last decade – mostly on his own now unfortunately vanished esel imprint (this means donkey).

this twentieth 3024 release is by my friend trevino. i am particularly proud to put this out because it was trevino (aka marcus intalex), who signed my very first tracks and gave me my break back in 2005 (a 12 inch called get down on his label revolve:r). in the last two years he has started taking his techno more seriously, writing new tracks at a very fast pace. i am glad people are taking notice of his music cos he is the real deal and it was tough picking tracks for this release cos he is making so many! ultimately we chose four that would clearly showcase marcus different sides and styles. so, seven years after my >get down<, i am proudly presenting the mighty trevino with his >tactical manoeuvre ep<.

a real treat up next for you on apple pips, coming from talented plymouth based beatsmith phat chex … phat chex aka ben pooley came to apple pips attention through the dj/promoter necta selecta, who was repping chex beats at the legendary subheavy parties. when necta dropped >git da funk<, it was a case of >who the ruddy heck is this by?!<. a friendship was struck up, and tune swapping has resulted in these two beauties being dropped on wax. a versatile producer who sums up the current bass scenes openminded attitude to genres and influences, chex is at home making deep electro, heads down techno, smokey jazzed out house, or post whatever bass music.

tom tragos voyage direct series welcomes another new amsterdam artist to its roster. this time it is the up and coming mpc lord overlast, who debuts on the label with a killer two tracker!

the next catalog number presents you two berlin artists– jonn melchiat & k.atou. both are not unknown in the business. so k.atou already collaborated with labels like bpitch control, einmaleins musik or resopal. jonn melchiat who made himself a name with the pseudonym sonceboz, decided now to focus on his project jonn melchiat and releases beside on the label what now becomes, an ep on sono vivo.

breakin bread drop the third single from japanese beat maker extraordinaire kazahaya who has been working with us mcs. proper boom bap music on both sides, slow burning soul on one side, golden era crackliness on the flip.

edux return from a winter hibernation and summer of partying with some more essential wax. machete savane is their latest signing, aka studio supremo saul richards & andy bainbridge, an integral part on well respected and notoriously raucous party people bad passion andy has perfectly distilled what drives the bad passion dancefloor in the excellent >elysian fields<, and who better to put a unique stamp on the track than their main resident guest felix dickinson. he takes the track into bolder, dubbed out and altogether more acid house territory, while keeping the live elements to the fore. finally mid op amps up the drum machinery, and lays out another corking balearic with balls workout. quality stuff as always.

smalhans is the fourth solo album by norwegian producer hans-peter lindstrøm, and his second album to come out in 2012. earlier this year he released six cups of rebel, which was a very personal album for lindstrøm and showed his more experimental side. now, this forthcoming record on smalltown supersound, finds lindstrøm back on the dance floor with six monumental tracks – classic lindstrøm style.
smalhans was mixed by his friend todd terje, who has also made extended edits which will be released as 12 inches. the album title is an old norwegian word and means scarcity or simply poverty. each track on the album is titled after a traditional norwegian meal. smallhans is lindstrøm at his very best, perfected by todd terje.

whether it is deep, tech, percussive, disco, chicago or minimal, ray okpara doesnt leave any sub-genre out of the pool. in a lucid representation of himself, ray delivers an 11-piece bundle of soul lifting, mind and body empowering dance tracks under the core title, good times.

breakbeat paradise recordings is proud to introduce yet another talented artist to the bbp crew. dj rudd is an established dj and producer from latvia, where he is leading the funky breaks/mashup scene, doing shows with names like a-skillz, featurecast, nightmare on wax to name a few. rudds oldskool type of funky breaks was a perfect match for bpp, who was quick to get rudd on board, when they first heard rudds successful funky breakout ep on bigm records. this became the beginning of a prosperous teamwork set out to design this amazing ep of 4 state-of-the-art funky bangers. track by track and sample by sample they worked their way through, in order for this ep to be as great as possible. the result is nothing less than a masterpiece of classic funky breaks - with all the right elements including well-balanced use of modern day wobble basslines.

plymouths 14th best dj aldo vanucci drops his latest in the form of this killer ep. >you re all show< features the sublime vocals of kylie auldist - best known as the lead singer of the bamboos but also a massive star in her own right. in this track she lyrically tears down some unfortunate individual who has been showing out a little too much. >take me to a party< features rappers asm batting off the unwanted attentions of the post gig sparkle ponies and with aldos backing creates a classic hip hop party vibe. >what happened?< re-works a classic vocal to devastating effect and >alone< re-creates the off kilter breakbeat vibe of aldos biggest track to date >when i see you smile<.

the quintessential post acid house anthem blacker has been remade for 2012 by the dynamic duo yambee (ashley beedle & yam who?). a complete package of hot mixes will be forthcoming on londons midnight riot label. mixes are by joey negro, deadly sins and by yambee themselves. check the joey negro mix for a master class in modern day jazz funk!

nice price deal !!! prism studied drums under vance gordan specialising in afro cuban rhythms and the moeller technique prior to venturing into music production. after becoming more intrigued by the intricate likeness of all societies, cultures and religions, prism was created with a deeper purpose. not only to showcase these influences but to convey an awareness that all things no matter how different they may appear in physical form, are all the same. having an ear for deep jazzy tunes and being hugely influenced by the early metalheadz era, prism continues this sound in his selection of music playing vinyl and unreleased dubs from all around the world. always in tune with the roots of what started both dubstep and drum and bass, prisms selection rarely strays away from raw, emotional bass music but contains something for everyone which will insure a good time for all who catches one of his sets

for signal life #03, we teamed up two young vigorous south londoners: mr. louis carnell, known by his moniker visionist, and mr. marco giuliani, who works under the alias last japan. >control this< by visionist combines his background in south london grime with his signature drum machine template and lo-fi vocal excerpts into a coherent mesh. our favourite visionist track to date! when we first heard >storm trooper< by last japan, it was the tension we got caught up in. the song is focused with a clear direction, uncommon in most young talent, armed with a driving snare-fill rhythm reminiscent of south rap and all that exiting stuff in the 160 bpm. i believe murky is the correct term. we predict interesting things for mr. giuliani.

>bored of shit< is the first release from new label k!ssa records. it follows dollskabeats debut >zodiac rising / no breaks no sleep< ep, which grabbed the attention of the music press, radio 1 and 6 music back in 2009. an electronic punk sneer and light-hearted grump at the state of modern popular culture, >bored of shit< is perhaps not what people might have expected as a follow up from dollskabeat but either way, it is a sure fire dance-floor filler. the ep also features an exquisite remix from vakula who described the track as impossible not to dance to and guest bass playing from firecrackers fudge fingas. keep your ears peeled for future dollskabeat release >so long for a small storm< - a mould-breaking piece of electronic music that will pick up where she left off. pressed on 180g vinyl and mastered by matt colton at air studios.

morgan zarates second release for hyperdub is a bold and unexpected move for him. he has been known in the past as the producer for leftfield soul group spacek and also currently as one half of the shining, signed to xl records, but with >broken heart collector< he has made some highly contagious dubstep pop, featuring rising singer / songwriter / producer stevie neale on vocals. stevie warns of a guy who is the titular >broken heart collector<. her rnb vocals contrast with a fierce storm of drums and vertiginous synths that attack like waves against rocks. it is a brilliant pop song, with a chorus earworm you might find hard to resist. there is also an instrumental included as well. the third track is >crey bey<, an energetic, grimy 8 bar instrumental. it shifts between dive-bombing synths and a spooked, nervous melody over a rich organ track, with martial kicks and snares guaranteed to get you bouncing.

dino sabatini is not just a prologue artist having the first 12inch release in our catalogue, he is also one of the most authentic prologue artists who is responsible for providing the well known prologue sound aesthetic.
