all nite ep is the young mancunian waltons second set on hyperdub, after his very well received walton ep debut for the label in 2011. title cut >all nite< kicks it off with warm plucked strings, diva moans and lazer-like synths stretched to the point of anticipation over cracking grime handclaps and bass drums, until the track drops into a blocky bass line playing hide and seek with low arpeggios that spiral in and out of the mix, over a giant pounding metallic kick drum before layering on the warmth again. the whole track plays with a fine balance between warm, disco-like lushness and exuberant roughness. >mallet< is driving and darker, building detuned, bell-like tones over a 4/4 beat accented by breaks and fills and gaps, dropping into a big bass line and syncopations that disrupt the beat and bring the drama. >kush< is different again, taking the pace down with low end, synth hip hop with glassy chords, running over woozy pitch shifting rhodes chords fed through a layer of crackly gauze.

first part of a trilogy, unforeseen alliances is a meeting of the french artist voiski aka kartei (dement3d, silicate records, wt records) and the duo deception plan, doryan javan based in paris and r. hernandez (historia and violencia, droid behaviour) based in los angeles. the techno in its purest expression … on the a side, voiski delivers a very strong deep techno track, perfect balance between mechanical drums and hypnotic melody : emotionally intense !! on the b side deception plan gives us two version of a heavy and warm techno track : raw and sophisticated.

under the stewardship of alan fitzpatrick, 8 sided dice recordings continues to maintain its reputation as one of the most consistent techno labels via a steady stream of well-received releases. the label operates as both a home for high profile artists and an outlet for emerging talent, striking a balance between output from fitzpatrick and his contemporaries including contributions from rich jones, chris colburn, on/off, harvey mckay, hans bouffmyhre and nicole moudaber.

we have decided to publish these tracks as our first release because they took inspiration from the two words label name: eleusína and recreations. thinking about that ancient mysteries and hoping they could survive till nowadays and in the future as a aid of our poor life helped us a lot in composing these tracks.
the two track ep was compost almost interely by machines with a little computer aid. cause we are only humans and conditioned by our fears and weaknesses, we have decided to make them almost mono tracks to maximize the transfer achievement to vinyl. have we took the wrong way? we do not know, but we keep some time to reflect about that and find the best balance between stereo and mono that fits our soul.

striking out in june 2011 with his debut ep >in your gut like a knife< - a neat summary of his electronic excursions at that point - the beautifully artworked 12 inch acted as a portal into a world of daydreams, tumbling into shadows and embracing luminescence simultaneously. breeding surreal headphone-friendly landscapes, he struck a peculiar and delicate balance between otherworldly and familiarity, at times sneaking a sly glance towards the dancefloor but mostly conjuring a sense of longing and rye melancholy. ticking with a distinctive bounce and rhythm, it comes as no surprise that gang colours was raised on the bump and grind of uk garage. taking a step back from chopped n screwed rnb vocals and the swing of ukg, >the keychain collection< explores more sombre recesses within gang colours palette. the scattered technicolor synth melodies that characterised his ep are present, but softer, cosier even, weaving betwixt and between forthright piano chords and wills own vocals. >the keychain collection< eloquently captures gang colours first steps on a long road.

alexi delano dwells in the perfect balance between shiny minimalism and dark vivacious techno. with more than two decades on stage he has been able to combine different roots and facets of the contemporary music scale.

exactly a year ago we released the splitt ep er 0004.1 with chez damier s balance alliance. so this very special various artists ep comes to you as the follower of the reminded release as a double a side ep, called the various artist ep two pt.2!.with people on a1 marcello napoletano delivers an analog monster. the man from south italy doesnt really need to be introduced after his stunning releases on labels like mathematics, yore or rush hour. on a2 we re-introduce our first female producer in the family basels timnah sommerfeldt with her mix of fill me up (released on balance / ba006). on the aa balance side we got two rookies on wax with the oldschol flavoured tune named da bass lover. produced by quike feat. lello di franco as a young italian producer combo. with changes demetrio giannice has gone through a maturing process, a downtempo track driven by two difrrent drumsequences, melodic synth lines, strings and a classic guitar with a balearic feeling. everything turns into a kind of background hidden hook taken from the forthcoming vocal version of changes. vocals by chez damier. few different versions will follow. strictly limited!

this split release sees deeplabs jeroen search on the a-side with bal masque, a raw and analog soulful dancefloor monster. on the b-side isaev, who has released material on chez damiers balance alliance label, brings a futuristic masterpiece cut from his home in russia.

volta is one of the most sought after producers in russia. one of the newest members to the balance music groups family and he brings versatility like no other producer out there. his productions go in every direction from cosmic disco to deep techno. he is also known as isaev and his other alias common people under the bal-ance alliance anchor. this young producer has set the course for the next generation of future producers. not only is he a producer but his live sets are second to none, and we are glad to have him in the family. the first song is empire times which is a throwback to the early nineties classic new york signature four on the floor sound with fuel injected synths and a great dance floor peak time get down groove. the second song is curious dreams this song has so many different elements, it is by far one of my favorites of the ep, it has an 80&#8223,,,s sound that crosses many different genres of music from disco to classic electro with a splash of house. the third song is called purple train another fantastic take on his production skills with this massive deep techno heater that will get the crowd moving with its deep chords and its lush drum programming makes it dance floor friendly for sure..then last but not least we have song four called ruby nights this song brings a minimal broken beat sound that has the elements of house with a twist. we at fi-nale are happy to have volta cab as a member and we want to share his gifts with you. we would like to thank you for your loving support. stay true to the roots. love you

this ep was formed with a concept in mind that involves a natural phenomenon occurring in various/different fields of science and nature - anti-parallelism. as the word suggests, anti-parallelism describes the natural relationship between two occurrences, objects or even non-material things, that are virtually identical and yet oriented in different directions. during the time the music was made i was researching natural phenomenons like this one. naturally, this became part of the nucleus, fabric and inspiration for this work. in genetics, for example, if the antiparallelity is corrupted during the process of dna replication it is called a mutation. this mutation can be anything from totally inconsequential to critical for the survival of the whole living organism. a double helix of dna contains two helixes, that are naturally anti-parallel to one another. in physics this could be two of the same objects moving through space and time in opposite directions - just like the instruments or parts of a beat in electronic music production. so metaphorically speaking,anti-parallelism holds a natural balance to keep it safe and stable. although this might sound all very conceptual and theoretical this music is obviously just what it is - it is not intended to teach math, physics or biology in any way. the above mentioned aspect has simply found its way through my head and might have led to a piece of music that somehow, at least for me, is connected to these thoughts. it might evoke something very different for you.

local talk is proud to present the first release on their sub-label 1nce again. this is where we bring back classic and forgotten house gems from back in the day with new mixes and reworks. for our first release we have gone back to 97 and a producer known and respected worldwide in the house music community with more than 200 production credits under his belt. joshua michaels aka joshua iz perhaps best known for his collabs with dwayne washington as iz & diz but has of course used many other pseudonyms over the years for releases on labels like prescription, balance, classic, junior boys own, om and guidance. the return was first released on heard, sub-label to tom middletons evolution / universal language productions ltd. using his moniker circulation. the track can easily be described as a mammoth house track, clocking in just over 12 minutes. its one of those pieces of music that’s stood the test of time and why iz has been a major force in electronic music for so many years. on the flip much hyped duo prommer & barck stripped it down from its original costume leaving not much left of the source material resulting in something that we best could describe as old school warehouse meets uk bass. its pretty raw and definitely a basement sureshot!

berlin based dj/producer danny berman aka red rackem returns to his hot coins disco project with 2 exclusive remixes on this limited vinyl only release. danny has been holed up in a studio in rural austria putting the finishing touches to the long awaited hot coins album (provisionally titled >geek emotions<) which is due for release in 2012. this naughty white label style twelve (with full permission from the artists involved) is a little teaser for whats to come on the album, which is devoted to all things discoid and new wave.
in other news expect to see red rackem releases on innervisions specials label philomena, ramp, balance as well as the 3rd single on his own label bergerac before the year is out.

next huge kanzleramt killer! the biggest question by fellow producers always is, how does the sound-wizard get his tunes sooo crunchy and big? we wont reveal the secrets, but we are very proud to have peter horrevorts on board with 2 more unique examples to study. and boy is the dutchman busy. just in 2011 peter has releases, single-tracks and remixes appearing on: gem records, wasabi records, toolroom recordings, vibrating balance, stealth records, be real, suara, kimaks, azuli, vapour recordings, weave music, tronic and many more...

the original track features on the compilation balance mixed by deetron coming in november. spanish producer simon garcia has already impressed with his ability to move effortlessly from techier sounds to the deeper reaches of house music. a talent that has brought him the opportunity of releasing his work on labels such quartz music, composite, supplement facts, nrk and now, perspectiv. >tears in vain< was an instant favourite with perspectiv boss ripperton. throughly road-tested, it was snapped up for the label and is brought to you today backed by a stunning remix from his fellow countryman, deetron. simons original is deep yet progressively driving. matching rising jets and beautiful vocal with a background of wild horns and handclaps. deetron continues to tread the heavenly path that so few can walk, turning in yet another masterful piece. staying true to the original, he adds elegant and classic touches. most pointedly the synth-bathed break, rasping hats and warm oldschool baseline.

despite the post-industrial label often affixed to factory floor, there is a greater complexity of sound within the bands music that defies such facile descriptions. yes, there are rigid, fixed beats, and other sounds from the manufacturing plant, as suggested by the trios moniker. but there is also an underlying danceability that belies the seeming austerity of the sound, a hint at warmth that cuts through the permafrozen exterior. that curious balance has paid endless dividends thus far: they have been remixed by producer gavin russom, liars angus andrew and no ages dean allen, remixed and released by optimo, remixed and collaborated live with throbbing gristle legend chris carter, and remixed and produced (!) by joy division and new orders stephen morris. its been a whirlwind few years in terms of musical accolades, and factory floors dfa debut is a glimpse into why.

big support van oa. bas mooy, dvs1, perc, tommy four seven, go hiyama, paul mac and many more... just before the summer hits, were breaking it down with a massive techno bomb from the subs of scotland. this time its the mighty forward strategy group which will be responsible for some serious damage on the floor. the squad which delivered some amazing tunes for perc traxx and recently did a podcast for clr recordings are now up for a true banger on dynamic reflection. on this ep they split the force and bring both their own solo actions. smear takes over with >inert<, tweaking his synths into phased edges with a phat groove on top. the >retail & leisure< remix is more subdued and trips away with a smooth acid bassline through the track. on the b-side the other half of fsg. patrick walker smashes down the door with a more darker groove. pounding kickdrums, dark rhythms and smooth soundscapes is whats his recipe is for >phase linear<. this will definitely hit the big rooms!! boex & miller breaking down the beat in their rework, which makes the perfect balance for this ep. all n all a superior release by these gents and remix heavyweights. lets pray for more of this pure quality stuff and keep our eyes on the the future. the scene need more labels like this which reflects the current techno movement and promises loads more of that sweet stuff in days to come... dynamic reflection will represent only the true spirit of pure techno, they will put only the quality stuff back on the dancefloor!

hrdvsion may not be the first act we were actually checking out for an irr output but we are not irritated that we found it. with i can t exist our canadian friend successfully strikes the balance between deep housyness and accelerated departure. if you turn the piece of plastic around you find a more typical hrdvsion track celebrating the same magical atmosphere. last but definitely not least the b2 is a fusion-remix by ada that insists on being played in the sunshine.

shack music celebrates its 5 year anniversary with a series of previously deleted or unreleased material and existing catalogue from the vaults with re-edits and remixes for 2011.on this limited 12 inch sampler shack music highlights its success in unearthing rocco of rodamaal fame as a solo artist with his debut release >heartbeat< originally released in 2006 remastered for 2011. a true deep house gem that has found that perfect balance between deep house and the origins of tech house. the 2nd track of the ep features two of the most sought after producers of recent years in demarkus lewis and mr v of sole channel music. the dubstrumental mix of >untitled love affair< sees for the first time the light of day on wax that has seen support from djs as diverse as dinky (musica libre, cocoon), sascha dive to dennis ferrer. rounding off the package on the flip comes from label head soy mustafa with an exclusive appearance to the 5 year comp and this sampler entitled >dub state of mind<. this b-side track is a straight up hidden gem relentless in drums both dubby and groovy with an incessant synth line that automates in and out of the groove thats almost subtle but infectious at the same time…a proper deep summer tune!

the next coup by sirion records is from none other than one of the founding fathers, fedja haueter aka feodor and his fellows alex torriglia aka mo-tek and beni dossenbach aka balance. the trio, better known as vol-tek, has played a key role since the very beginnings of sirion s musical outpours and was represented in sr001 with a remix. numerous remixes and their own release sr005 - vol-tek - male & female are further to be mentioned. a part from sirion records the trio was represented at friends labels such as cristian paduraru or samy freshs augenringe records. but their next big thing is yet to come, as the threesome has been finishing tracks throughout the past year and surely need to be reckoned with in the future. the tracks after dark and conciliator are both rather deep, playful tech-house gimmicks, enriched with a bit of progressive.

dubline records unveils their next release by the neurodub duo that runs the dubline camp - melamin & wicked sway. the theory behind this production outfit is balance. neurologically the human brain percieves information to be incomplete if it is not symmetrical. in a practice of endless work ethic the sound design interfaces perfected beats that have an even balance of elements. the process in which people follow music as a path is implied in the waking of the conscious mind while in it spirit. the thought process of their approach to neuro is always written for the peoples natural instinct to follow obvious paths of information that can be used to direct the appliance of listening as a being of light tunes in and drops out the appropriate information. thus by drawing attention to the information the focus remains to show the difference between the foreground and background. a focal point is intended to encourage the listener to always furthur the exploration of the information presented. using elements that are different to show that they are clearly different components of presented information and yet both also with similarity to those of the same reference. its simply easier for ones step towards enlightenment in the experience of being human to realize the thought process and recognize the ego, reminding at the expense of the thinking brain that its cheaper to die.
