TRANSLATION EP
12 Inch
19.09.11
one of the founding members of the ostgut ton family, marcel dettmann recorded his debut 12inch for the label alongside ben klock with >dawning< some five years ago. now after a string of highly praised releases, his debut album >dettmann<, and a handful of uncompromising records on his own mdr label, we arrive at this new ep for his home label. launching us into the space-race, >barrier< documents those tense moments of discovery as we reach into new territories. dettmanns unique textured sound design sets the scene before diving into >translation one< - a frantic, quivering and snaking snapshot into the kind of techno the producer stands for these days. metallic bass spins sideways, while ever-modulating percussion drives forward. the sinister sci-fi tones of >translation two< warble and jive in glorious syncopation as a systematic heavy kick and hat program works the bass frequencies and rhythmic zones. open and spacious, its meandering theme hangs deliciously between paranoia and positivity. in >planning< dettmann further explores his inclination for intricate, tripping synth patterns. a staggered, wonderfully immersive theme builds from delayed staccato notes in a classic analog sequence, underpinned by rumbling dub bass pressure
RULES OF MADNESS PART 2
12 Inch
19.09.11
marc antonas >rules of madness< album on his own lovingly crafted dissonant label is in full force, its works now trickling through in vinyl packages. for tthe second installment leading track >all against the law< and his full-acoustic brother >spring pack< open the three vinyl release sequence that will bring the entire album to the decks.
a true journey through sound, felipe venegas >i ching< pushes house music to extraordinary levels with its complex passage through sound. on the flip, >orisha chango< sees felipe utilize his skills to ignite the dance floor the as he delivers a powerful yet sensual cuban influenced track. a bounding rubbery bass line and velvet spoken vocals roll as the gods of the yoruba mythology are listed. as tightly sprung samples ricochet against each other, >orisha chango< reaches its high in the last two minutes, its production excellence throwing us around in rich texture.
music always played a significant role in the life of javier viudez and rainer serrat and the quest for the music made them leave their hometowns mallorca and barcelona and move to london where they met each other and started sharing a studio in 2004. constant flow of releases on labels like serialism, safari electronique, vinyl club and serious club gigs followed. here javier and rainer kick off a new chapter and team up for 4 tracks, tales of lost memories and other-worldiness of early morning hours, that were some of the best kept secrets of loco dice sets this summer. the repetitive title track “scusas” with its hypnotic, scale wandering staccato bassline, >rainer nostalgia< with its uplifting vocal shouts, the timberlake infected, driving >nuevo cedar< or any other piece of this collection, these boys seem to have a golden hand for stripped down grooves
BRESO EP (COLOURED VINYL)
Coloured 12 Inch
19.09.11
here comes the new echocord colour. after some big releases with luke hess, skudge, sebastien san, mikkel metal & resoe here comes the next bomb, this time by mike dehnert. this is the second ep by mike dehnert on echocord colour. we are presenting one of the currently most interesting berlin modern techno music producers today. he is founder of the label fachwerk records on which he is publishing under his own name. his live acts and dj sets are as remarkable as his productions and you wont ever hear him playing any self-pleasing or incidental grooves. mostly mike is playing his own unpublished tracks. he did just put his ability to the test within collabarations with clone rec and the clone basement series. for the new echocord colour he did 2 striped killer berlin flavoured techno-dub/house tracks, for all dancefloors out there. it also includes a remix by roman lindau

HOUSE SYNDROME EP
12 Inch
19.09.11
tripmastaz is a name that has been steadily pushing forward his career in the past year, with his latest works on be as one, moon harbour, cecille, and magnetic recordings (complete with a loco dice remix) been heavily supported by the djs gang out there now, andrew is debuting with a full ep on be as one, after his appearance on the latest tools for school vol.3 compilation. house syndrome opens the ep with a bang - truly an infectious tech house stormer for the big stages, which is already championed by the a-list djs constant learning is a proper tribal techno affair that combines a rolling groove with a catchy melody, an uplifting summery mood. on the b side tripmastaz takes things into deeper territories with quiet hit men, an acidic bassline worked around a machine groove as andrew knows to deliver. pende (dub) closes this ep with an underground attitude, a tune that will be noticed by those looking for a special moment on the floor
WINDMILLS (PAN/TONE REMIX)
12 Inch
19.09.11
the a12 motorway was wrapped in complete darkness. the lights of the windmills were blinking in the rhythm of the rotor blades passing by. they appeared just before sunrise. no one had ever seen this kind of creature ever before: red flashing, and bright shining alien butterflies attracted by the windmills. people stopped, and got out of their cars to watch this spectacle. the flying creatures were constantly creating new, kaleidoscope-like formations, and slowly, and very softly at first, they started singing. and although nobody really understood their behaviour, everybody understood their wistful and hopeful song.
90 - THE REMIXES
12 Inch
19.09.11
this 12 inch with remixes from popnoname, korablove, gorje hewek and khz is a tribute to moscows synth pop and new wave shooting star pompeya. the bands music sounds so fresh and well produced that we couldnt not notice and thus we had our pro-tez artists remix it for your listening pleasure. as a result we are proud to present a remix single which offers a house, a disco, a dub and a synth pop version of the original hit >90<. pompeyas music might be compared to musical styles of death cab for cutie and postal service but it has their exhilarating original sound to it. we present a killer remix single from the forthcoming album >tropical<. listen!

Coloured 12 Inch LP + MP3
16.09.11
for his second album as son lux, new yorks ryan lott did a very un-son lux thing. he recorded we are rising in a month -- the shortest month of the year, actually -- while npr tracked his every move. this, as opposed to the making of his lauded 2008 debut, at war with walls and mazes, which he slowly built in complete privacy over nearly three years. of course, he didn’t plan it this way. he simply awoke one late january morning to find a message from all songs considered titled, >you busy?<. the annual rpm challenge, an international open call to create an album in 28 days, had been issued and lott had been tapped. how could he say no?
pressing on transparent blue vinyl, includes code for free mp3 download of the full album.

LULLABY FOR RASTKO
12 Inch
15.09.11
it has been quite some time, since farside records presented new music from herb lf. after his successful releases on labels like circus company, soulprint, supafeed& of course his biggest farside joints like >sunliner< or >fruchtalarm<, herb lf now teams up with belgrades finest radio dj petko aka petkovski. petkovski is best known from his playground radio show with listeners worldwide and its beautiful eclectic selection of just good music. together they introduce >lullaby for rastko<, an astonishing ep full of deepness and wonderful music
his single comes to people that make the music records from one of house musics most eminent production teams: first ibiza lady alla farmer, mateo & matos and ukrainian singer and producer vincent inc, chris gray from deep4life, jazzy house veteran john crockett and uplifting deep king brendan mccarthy aka aquatherium. though not stereo-typically their style, this set of tunes give good credence to their soft house music production ability. they set the scene for sounds entering as a funky bassline, squealy guitar riff, and classic 4/4 drum loop. john remix consist mainly of dubby bubbly conga rhythms, cosmic chords, floaty synths, musical saw tones and a nice rubbery bassline. aquatherium remix is pure non-intrusive, house music that is great for the sunset beach session or even the roller disco! chris & alla made eclectique deep house which is just a dope! the remixed single tracks have been mixed together to give it a beefy blend that would be perfect for the floor of many poorly lit dance dwellings. people that make the music has stepped forward with a brilliant ep of insatiable grooves.

BASEMENT IS NOT A CRIME EP

15.09.11
supported by: tim toh, oskar offermann & edward, shaddy foul&sunk, boris hotton, andy weid, hunee,.. frank is back for another round. this time its frank music head poncho johannes delivering two heavy tracks for your dancefloor. we got a classic double-a side, personally stamped in a basement and limited as sunny days last summer. first there is >rough rough raw< ... well its rough and its rough and its sort of raw. dubby vocoders, 909, rave breaks, you name it! second is -way out of sight- which got a fuzzy bassline, little trance moments for maximum party pleasure and some more dirtness in between. this is most probably slammin muscle house for skinny jeans boys. to sum things up: basement is not a crime! our good friend tim says: a few days ago i listened to an old cassette from the year 2000. >roughroughraw< really contains the spirit of this time. the right tune to start taking some >e<s again, smoking a joint and gettin nuts on a tiny dirty dancefloor. underground ish for sure... and same for >way out of sight< especially the first chord of that synth, which reminds me on michael jacksons >thriller<. thank you and turn that swagger on!

three more disco throbbers courtesy of em vee aka marcel vogel and the always on-point lumberjacks in hell imprint. the entirety of the a-side is given over to jam >body heat<, a phat, james brown sampling slice of shoulder thrusting funk that you may have already heard in the more discerning discotheques across europe. wisely, the two b-side cuts offer something completely different, with the loose drums and squealing brass of gospel-sampling >the shouting< a perfect counterpoint to the uptempo disco-strut of >mouzon<.

early support: hell, josh wink, ame, laurent garnier, raresh, dixon, jimpster, terry francis, ... ribn return to the mild pitch camp with two fresh tracks and a stunning remix by the revenge. >no place< is a deep diving funky house jam, that combines fragile soul samples and buzzing electronics, reminiscent of old playhouse or matthew herbert records. on remix duties here is no other than graeme clark aka the revenge. the scottish man-of-the-moment transforms the original into a straight and sizzling club roller that makes great use of the original samples and strips them down for maximum dancefloor impact. turn over to the flip side and ribn take it back to their dubbed-out deep techno trademark sound on the epic >save me<. punchy beats, driving chords and bright synth carpets make this track a prime example of what youve missed if you havent had a chance to check out the duo live yet

exium are well known for their techno adventures, spanning over more than ten years. their style is always changing shape, evolving from experimental textures to harsh rhythms and industrial flavoured beats. with this new release they give their style a new twist by making the synths the starring element of >complex<, a melodic techno number, full of harmonies, portamento leads and pulsating beats.
detroits own legendary dj rolando reworks the original version in a more percussive style, but preserving the melodies and leads. a sure floor smasher.

INTRUSIVE INCIDENTALZ VOL.1 (LP)
12 Inch LP
15.09.11
nice price deal !!! following critically acclaimed releases with mordant music and further records earlier this year, ekoplekz delivers his first album for punch drunk.
dispensing entirely with notions of accessibility and dancefloor friendliness, >intrusive incidentalz vol.1< is a 12 track collection of dark, oppressive atmospheres and violently unstable interludes, developed through studio improvisation and inspired by childhood memories of terrifying electronic soundtrack music from the 1970s, yet combined with a post-dubstep sensibility and a sense of dread informed by the social, economic and political climate of life in 2011. a bleak retro-futurist fantasy, or oblique soundtrack for a broken britain? the truth probably lies somewhere between the two.
