reset robot has given us two tracks that are absolutely on fire. rebellion is a slow burning, after-hours groover that packs a punch and harnesses percussion elements to the full effect. the hanging gardens of babylon is a lot more of a melancholic offering and leads into a beautiful crescendo to finish any night off in style.

we re glad to say welcome to renè for our second wax. with his residency@circoloco in ibiza since years, he had the chance to play at some of the best gigs in the world. his track anything has a unique touch, with a lot of warm and deep pads that match perfectly with bassline, doing a beautiful atmosphere. renè on the keys never fails, that s what we say! alessandro di maria aka sossa is another italian resident dj of circoloco in ibiza. he worked with a lot of amazing artists like mass prod, quenum, subb-an and many more, especially with his own label garbant wave. his track toga is what we call a trip, ranging from minimal beats to deep pads and chords. certainly this one makes the right job in the warm up! we re happy to have the young talent giacomo trevi in the b side. with releases on claque, superfiction, etruria and more, his track voyage has a powerful 909 groove, with an old school pads and some detroit influences in the chords.

gregor tresher already liked mars bill s tracks on suara and intacto a lot but when he heard these demos he was immediately convinced to sign this new italian artist on his label break new soil. and when he received the basic channellesque remix from heiko laux from the kanzleramt, he was sure to have a true gem on his stick. do you agree

we’re finishing 2015 with what is pretty much a mini lp by borrowed identity, an inspired producer based in freiburg. there’s a lot here and we think you should just listen to and enjoy the record, draw your own conclusions, but what we will say here is the a is ballsy house and the b is tough techno that touches on trance occasionally. get why it’s called the contrast?

ive been involved in two or three major genres that are very different from each other, says vaughn robert squire from canada, better known as prison garde, who is making his true romance debut with our trep009. about his melody ep, he says: its gospel-influenced house stuff. its in line with the last couple records that i put out, but i feel like its a little more mature and that the quality of the recording is a lot higher than anything else ive done as prison garde. i recorded it at the phi centre in montreal - its a beautiful cultural center in the old port. ango and i locked ourselves in there and did a live record on an ssl in a big room.

this new strand release on lowriders, maleza is a very personal take on bass music, juke, west coast hiphop, jamaican music, prepared pianos, old detuned synths, odd time signatures and huge live reverbs. the idea of the record came when i was going through a lot of personal struggle and i was not able to get out of it. in the same period i decided to run in the woods near my home early in the morning. i ran every day, and ran and ran. eventually i got out of my problems. so i left the maleza away. this is a very personal record, each sound has a deep meaning about me and my loved ones. maleza means bad herbs, weeds, undergrowth in spanish.

6th release of the parisian label d.ko records. this record is a tribute to the club « le malibv » which recently closed and where d.ko held countless parties. « le malibv » offered the opportunity to a lot of young djs and promoters from the new generation to present themselves in the french capital. as a duty and for the memorable parties they held there, the label wanted to thank the club for all the good vibes shared. each artist in this record has played at le malibv on a d.ko party and present his vision of a night there.

this september, acid arab celebrate their third birthday and the release of a first ep on versatile. from acid arab, you knew the ‘collections’ series: three eps and one album, featuring a lot of guests (omar souleyman vs crackboy, i:cube, legowelt, pilooski,gilb-r). it took the band that long to finally release a whole record of their songs. it’s called ‘djazirat el maghreb’ and it’s a tribute to north africa and its three countries, morocco, algeria and tunisia.

originally released back in 2006 destination boogie has been one of zr s most popular and respected compilations. in fact we recently reissued it on vinyl for the first time. there s a lot of crappy edits out there, we believe these dr packer reworks are very worthwhile, well constructed new versions that make the tracks more playable for today s dancefloors whilst retaining their boogie tastic musicality. since the album was released the whole edit culture has exploded so we thought it would be a nice idea to get one of the best, dr packer, to rework four of the most danceable cuts from the album. we at zr hq think he s done a great job on these.

hessismore are a 7 person musicans collective based in new york and copenhagen around musical mastermind mikkel hess. they released their gomma debut ep last july. strange, beautiful music from outta space. balinese marimbas, african drums, spooky voices - great new music. now here come the remixes. dimitri from paris did an effective, supersexy disco stomper. keeping a lot from the original version. the crazy voices, the punk funk feel, the moody, new wave atmopshere. but now its a club bomb. then williamsburgs hidden underground star lorne dune reworked the other song. in a more edgy, distorted way. beautiful. then you have a version by munichs pollyester. the former bass player of munk now has gone solo. she does this kind of naive, early 80ies, powerdisco you could hear at clubs like the loft oder dj harvey playing. orgastic hardcore disco rock

gorge is back on 8bit with yet another great release! for hidaya ep, the labelhead revisited his acclaimed signature sound, combining tight drums & dusty stabs into rollin groove machines that just work in the club. hidaya, the a-side is made to be played during peek time. an uplifiting arpeggio carried by moving spheres will bring the party to the next level. so they say strikes the crowd with evolving synths and floating delays, making it a perfect b-side. enjoy, we will hear these babies a lot!

well cut records return with another deluxe vinyl release with dubble d presenting under his irrepressable moodymanc monniker. side a opens with comfort me, a deep and gritty sounding soulful jam, followed by a retouch of war and peace, a deep and dirty disco dance floor monster which has done serious damage in the past. luke solomun opens side b with his love and death re-make, toughening up the drums and adding some analogue twists to take the energy levels up to the point of frenzy! the record closes with hashtag, a no nonsense, tough chicago inspired groove which plays backdrop to a conversation between snoop dog and g unit about the music game today which we thought said a lot about the state of play in house music today! a beatapella is an addition to the digital version of the release for those djs who want to get more creative with the message!

doc severinsen is an accomplished american jazz/pop trumpet player, and as a band leader gained considerable notoriety on the tonight show with johnny carson. like most musicians in the 70s, doc took his shot at the disco and funk sounds of the time, gathered stellar musicians, and released impeccably sounding works. two of these cuts, be with you and shine on me are featured on this release. harvey s unfailing magic touch has yielded two dj-friendly edits with a lot of punch and galactic energy, yet with a velvet undertone. staying true to the mission, the label took great care throughout the production process in order to preserve the quality of the original recordings.

new to the stay underground it pays gang, the eighth release on the label comes from none other than octo octa! you know him from his prolific run on 100% silk, and more recently for his ep on gerd jansons running back label at the top of the year. the man from brooklyn serves up 4 slices of that u.s. experimental house sound we love so much. on the a side, we have two versions of octo octa’s melancholic title track, requiem for the body. both as good as the other, it’s gonna be split for a lot of listeners on which is better. while both versions share certain elements, the second plays down the long keys of the first versions in favour of some stabby chord patterns. either way, proper 4 a.m. business!on the flip, we get a bit more ethereal with times two (loose version). simple yet effective, this one has a lot of atmosphere with those delayed vocal cuts over that late 80s bassline. closing out the record is when home. this one is a bit of a stomper at first until it brings in the lighter synth elements halfway through. someone, somewhere will have an epiphany listening to this track. if its you reading this, send in the results on the back of a postcard. all in all, another killer release that feels straight at home in the stay underground it pays catalogue

dig deep in the house underground and discover diamonds like steven wobblejay! well known for his partnership with pablo valentino as creative swing alliance (wolf music, faces, tsuba a.o.), steve has also a lot to offer solo. its raw, funky and techy, its a shake your tingz sound, its all in there! thats what we love about his sound. so we put it on wax. simple as that. shake your tingz! we do, we do!

the second release we do with french artists upwellings aka vincent raude who is professor of modern art at the academy of brest and has been recording music since 1996. his ep comprised two tracks. a-side >dubbin at the strobe< feat. michael zerang shows a nice interaction of drums and sounds developing a profound deep mood. drum parts were recorded in chicago by michael zerang, a real jazz legend who played a lot with peter brötzmann and joe mcphee, hamid drake. the flip side >lighthouse dub< has the aura of an place which is extremely isolated. the sound is at times extremely pulled back and melancholic and holds a sentiment that reminds us a bit of joy divisions >we are the young men<. the track undergoes a transformation beatwise when going more uptempo.

:-crimini- is a new independent label born from the experience of some members of the mighty kitchentstudio3, based in bologna italy. the first release contains on the first side three track by nas1 duo. the young duo work at the kitchenstudio3 since 2011, where they produced a lot of good stuff, including a track featuring kyle hall (released by wild oats music), their debut ep on bosconi records, two tracks released by nick anthony simoncino s hotmix records, and many other cool works. on the other side there is a power track, spinning at 45 tmp, produced by the mysterious grienkho, appeared on pushmaster records and austerity, and kosmik, legendary record collector from south of italy.

need you back is a collaboration piece between the anonymous mystep character and vocalist frank h. carter iii. the original track and vocal laid the grounds for remix work by label regular jamie trench, and a most experimental remix by our new friend dudley strangeways. this release also commemorates 3 years of made fresh daily, it s been a hell of a lot of fun and learning so far. here is to another 3, mfd forever.

the next release on first music comes from profile with a beautiful picture cover! its a musical journey and a bomb tool for the upcoming summer months! we doubt that estonian-born artist viive kuks could imagine in 1984 that her euau-forte >viljandi vaade< (trnl. view of viljandi) will be on the record sleeve of a dubtechno record in 2015. moreover, that the birthplace of the music is also viljandi and that the graphics plate was stolen during turbulent times when a lot of countries were liberated. it was quite an off-chance and hard to believe that profile found a copy of the work at his grandparents place, framed and photographed the work for his 2nd vinyl release. and here it is, through countless threads and connections, through the memories of our forefathers. pure liberation.

multipurpose french techno artist leghau plants his name in the heads of a large public thanks to a string of releases on various international respected labels such as figure, sleaze, skryptom & credo. supported by a lot of key producers, his music is a blend of various influences and styles that gave him much respect and bookings for huge events and in clubs as techno parade in paris, the rex club and berghain.

finally hydergine joins the knotweed records family! hydergine (aka roberto corizzo) is a techno producer from southern italy. he is best known for producing raw dub techno, and has come up with a string of fantastic releases in the last 3 years on labels such as separate skills and ranges.we have been talking to each other since the early days of knotweed records, trying to find the right tracks for the label. roberto approached us at the beginning of the year with some tracks that were a bit -different- than his usual productions: he was experimenting, and we liked it a lot. that s how the gamma experiments e.p. was born.the a side of the gamma experiments e.p. is a heavy atmospheric techno bomb. both tracks on the b side have more an acid feeling to them, incorporating weird arps, rawness and pad trips.enjoy the ride!

we have started a new project from a new part of finish team records only on vinyl. for the first release we have made a 4 track e.p. with the main artists of the label: manu p, andrea rubolini, aumrec & gabriele orsini. first track is composed by manu p, and is named el torito. is the perfect track for the summer time, with a latin tech house with a huge bass and melodic voice, perfect for the middle of the night set. the second is a track by andrea rubolini (the crowd), also here a huge bass during all the track and a melodic synth that characterized the track. the third track by aumrec (elonove), is more techno, with lot of strange and secret minimal part and a solid and fresh kick. gabriele orsini also composed the fourth track (the suspect), a techno and intense travel trough the dark techno scene.

this year is the 2nd year of polen and right now we are presenting the fifth record. louis is a drummer, a bassist, a musician and a dancer and this is his ep for polen. it was a lot of recreating and a lot of shifting to get the end result, but it was worth waiting for. music for dancefloor, for mornings and afternoons, for dancing feet and chosen ears. the art work is made by anne-sophie kneer.

new imprint special edition launches in some style with a top release from the rather talented, emerging italian producer kiu d. this guy has been grabbing a lot of influential peoples attention recently and it is not surprising on this kind of devastating form. the man can produce and has a fine taste in music to match. pulling on influences from funk, disco and house music, he turns out 3 top class jams with super hi fidelity that are destined to set any dance floor on fire. definitely one to look out for and a great start for special edition!

ogun records returns for it’s second installment done by the incredibely talented alan backdrop. this northern italian has already gained a lot of appreciation amongst techno enthousiasts for his ep’s on enklav/motoguzzi records and his digitally released albums on prologue and ekar show his range of productions even more. with this release on ogun records he sticks to the label’s creed: an ep with a lot of value for dj’s, but still with intricate production techniques and enough warm layered textures/soundscapes to please even the most esoteric minds.

doubtingthomas has recently got a lot of love, and his new two-tracker on mayak shows why. * telegraph* delivers dance rhythms with the speed of light. on the other side - hypnotic groove of * taking control* comes through the bones and makes your skin go goosebump.

mr.g is extending his well received personal momentz lp with an add on disc. 4 g style club tracks that fit perfectly with the original discs. this record could/should be used as an addition to the original album.

nearly two years ago we released mys/kela by a newish stockholm-based producer who had put out a couple tracks on a couple labels studio barnhus and local talk owned by friends from around town. that produce s name was hnny and a lot has happened since then, both to him and to us. hes gone on to crank out more l.t. 12inches as well as some hes dropped on his yummy and puss imprints, weve gone on to unleash a couple dozen more records and see the list of talent we ve hosted at our parties grow to astounding length. somehow, through it all, we managed to stay close with hnny, whos real name is johan cederberg, and even book him for a couple nyc gigs. the friendship that began so humbly and gently in 2013 has blossomed.

for some it might be kraftwerk, but for me, my favourite electronic pioneers are probably australias severed heads. they were so far ahead of the game that they had to invent a lot of the technology they used. inspired, playful, never boring and always sonically brilliant they pushed at the frontiers of electronic music more than most. by the late 80s they were pursuing a slightly more polished course and made a series of records that had the potential to reach a much larger audience. possibly because of their name they never quite managed that, but they had several big club hits, the dub versions of which crossed over into the nascent house scene. i am honoured that i am able to make the dubs of those three 12 inches from 1988 - 1990 available again.

electronic music approximately 35 years after bands like kraftwerk opened the magic box. a lot happened since then and it seems all is said, done and invented. however it is almost surprising that new things still pop up here and there when it comes to electronic music production.

from the lands that time forgot birdie is proud to bring you an ep of the highest quality from the artist currently know as causa. hailing somewhere from up in the hills on the border between deepest darkest east lancashire and west yorkshire (thats up north to you lot) causa joe is a long time friend of trevino marcus. joe is underground and a lover of proper house music and has never been interested in music trends (he is a fisherman for christ sakes). he has been making music under various guises for 15 years with an apparent 6 year gap to go fishing. he has had releases with 202/20 vision tusk wax and paper recordings to name but a few. as marcus and joe still meet regularly for a pie and a pint its no real surprise then that this ep of some of marcuss favourite music of joes has come to pass. enjoy.

ovc is from chicago where he has been producing, and playing out electronic stuff in one form or another for like ten years including a lot of gigs and some residencies for example in sonotheque. but it s only the last three or four years hes gotten into the deeper side of techno and recently into the deeper/dubbier techno style, his music is a little raw as he does it all in hardware just live to two-track. he weaves together deep narratives out of a collection of blinking sequencers and drum machines, always assisted by a generous dose of reverb and delay. ovc releases with us on telrea the first 3 tracker we have done. all 3 tracks being on the calmer side of electronic music, rich in depth of sound and motion.

theres a lot of techno out there but none of it sounds like stanislav tolkachev. in the past few years the prolific ukrainian producer has molded his love for old school techno with enormous doses of experimentation and tension.

parages music presents their 8th release. on the a side there is a track by honesty, german dj-producer, half of slope music, signed on cabinet records and sonar kollektiv. he delivers for parages a big house track, full of warm chords, strong claps and a moving bassline. better drop this one at peak time ! the remix is done by the one and only moonstarr, broken beat pioneer and classy remixer. a man who knows everything about detroit techno, hiphop and bossa. moonstarr chop honestys track into a fast groovy tune, bassline and chords are losing control! on the b side its adjowas tune orient. the man is producing a lot recenlty, signed on freerange, dont be afraid and happy skull. this track is made live with vintage gear and is tape recorded. orient is a boogie electro bomb, super vintage synths, maximum groove bassline, and dusty reverb. a must have.the remixer on this side is basic soul unit, not necessary to introduce this one. top producer, dj and remixer. it is his 2nd appearance on parages. bsu switches adjowa’s track into a dub affair, basement feel, 808, masterclasstune.
