‘consistency’, the second lp from the berlin-based techno artist. the 11 track release follows 2014’s ‘en route’ and will be released on heiko laux’s label kanzleramt, a label with which kajioka has worked with closely for over a decade. consistency lp bears all the marks of a kajioka release: a collection of deep, driving, groove-laden and synth-focused cuts. heady grooves which leave little question why ray kajioka is held in such high regard among techno veterans, called upon regularly for remix honours by the the likes of heiko laux, joel mull, pan-pot, elbee bad, alexander kowalski and marc romboy, to name but a few. kajioka’s reputation for faultless production remains consistent on this, his sophomore lp. the full, extended physical release of consistency contains 3 vinyl disks: 2 x 12” lp disks plus a free, bonus 12”.

severence is an electronic sound artist who lives in spain. mensch 003 experiments with various forms of chaotic sound & signal generation to create dense chaotic sound fields and other more relaxed ambient soundscapes. all tracks were recorded live in one take using a eurorack modular synth, a mixing desk and various effects pedals (no overdubs or post processing in the computer).

the in 1986 produced mks-50 synth is a rack-mount version of roland corporation s alpha juno. it has the same synth engine and architecture, but with added features like 16 programmable chord memories, the ability to store velocity, volume, panning, de-tune, portamento and other similar parameters within each patch you create. the optional pg-300 gives traditional slider type control of all editable tone parameters which include dco (digitally controlled oscillators) lfo, bend, env, pulse, waveforms, noise, pw/pwm, high pass filter, vcf (filter) with freq/env/res/lfo/kybd, vca envelope, chorus, and more. adapta delivers a project based on this legendary mks-50 synth. tracks created with technology from the past, aimed for the future. what we call,.. techno!!

i walk around in the solar field. from here, the surrounding beams look like cylinder­thick, motionless rain or comet tails painted onto the sky. the tower is all white because the sunrays are pointing directly at it, white in an erased way, like if you leave an empty patch on a drawing, and surrounded by a halo. i go over to one of the sun mirrors. it’s huge and darkish and cold when i touch it. i don’t know if it’s cold and immune to the sun or transfixed in a much more extreme way than the desert. a solar plant can take much more sunlight. it has direct access, like a clip through into the thing outside. the widest zone, like the highest point when it’s lightning. the sunlight is magnetic. intense heat from the mantle pushing against the crust to get closer to the sun.
