after their mental scapes and french kicks first eps on pont neuf records, french duo alva are back with a new 5-tracks maxi, steam lights, on their own imprint virage records. they carry on with in their deep/club vibe while bringing in some new and fresh sound designs. it oscillates between dreamy atmospheres ( all very slow , steam lights ) and hypnotical sequences ( mirage ), but there is an obvious common factor to the tracks : the groove, carried by strong basslines and punchy drums.-

virage records is back with another house oriented 4 tracker, welcoming artists new to the family : german duo das carma and french house producer nephase. a side is warm and deep with an outstanding piano sample (a1) and bubbly basslines (a2), while b side is energic and groovy with punchy drums (b1) and jacking rhythms (b2).

general purpose aka len leise and salvador ricardo release a sub series label ‘also known as. featuring the much awaited repress of lens ll edits from 2015 on the a side. the b side follows with a fresh new edit concetro de chasse by general purpose that channels tribal party rhythms ready to set fire to any dance floor. finishing on salvadors cha cha flamongo, a spicy number sure to add a touch of romance to any occasion.

the second release for general purpose. this time label bosses len leise and salvador ricardo as general purpose have teamed up with anton klint of sweden to bring you a different structure to a dance movement. suck of the sav is a melodic array of swirling jungle sounds colliding in a rainforest off the coast of jupiter. the beat is deeply moving and organic. anton klint shows his rough psychedelic techno sound with his suck of the sav re-interpretation. a charged and confident club track to lose yourself in, on the dance floor, eyes closed, feet moving, shoulders chugging and chest vibrating. lookout for the switch-up. slim dusty is what it would sound like if you were riding a kangaroo whilst on acid in the australian outback. now imagine that! it’s a bouncy, fun, quirky percussive number that will ensure 100% vibe.

the second release by crazy addict recordings comes from the label’s creator, Álvaro pastore and presents 4 original, high quality pieces that one can get lost in, like reliving a story. the first track, cocotero, has melodies with synthesizers, rhythmic sequences and a lot of energy for the summer. next, recalling dreams plunges you into a story of deep melodies and atmospheric sounds. hundreds of drops brings you back to a season of fresh and enveloping sounds and rhythm, and at the end cinnamon stick takes you to the deepest part of yourself with transcendental sounds and tech rhythms. enjoy this release, we enjoyed creating it for you. cocotero will be released in fall 2016.

with the ep mental scapes, alva shows a first short format resolutely house. every track is an evolution, a progress. downtown - with its rhythmic part supported by the disco and deep atmospheres - is reminiscent of the influence of the 90s french house on the duos tracks. the shore is a very deep production with a groovy and a minimal bass, with these incisive hi hats and rides, and this sensual vocal. lighthouse uses several musical registers between techno, soul and ny house. the outro, playground, recorded in one shot, is a short downtempo track to enclose in a groovy way this first ep from the parisian duo.

continuing in the tradition of offering up sounds a little less accessible than its older hypercolour brother, hypeltd seems to have once again unearthed a producer more than worthy of popular attention.

>univrs< follows on from and develops the concept of the album unitxt (raster-noton, 2008). whereas the focus of unitxt was on the processing of rhythmic patterns (unit = unit of measurement, element) and information (txt = data, language), with univrs the focus is on the conceptual differentiation of a universal language (universum/universal = unity, entirety). the 14 tracks of univrs have evolved from a live context, hence the approach is more continuous and dense.
