after his brillant previous >cccp ep< charted & supported by names as steve bug, djulz, ewan pearson, francois k, brendon moeller, kirk degiorgio, mike denhert, giorgio gigli ... conforce strikes back on modelisme with another great release titled >black stroke ep<. a side >black stroke< original is an hymnic detroitish tune, the swingy groove and the right strings, provided from an high sensitivity. guests on this ep, the excellent kink & neville watson, worked out an old school acid house remix with a typical chicago vein as they do know to do. to complete >pretty far from here< is a superb old school house track, subtle deep funky sounds on raw beats with a sensual mood.

stroke typifies the twisted darkness so prevalent in italian techno right now. constructed from a tight stripped back groove of low-humming bass and booming kicks the track bounces along against a off-kilter backdrop of acid ripped effects. a legend in techno, rino cerrone makes a welcome return to analytic trail with his remix. taking the late night feel of the original and evolving it over a tight shuffling groove the effect is to accentuate the warped vibe and discreet energy.

supported by 3 channels, italoboyz, mike monday, john acquaviva, p.toile. the deep jungle can be an intimidating place. home to bird-eating spiders, deadly jaguars, and fierce natives, most ordinary folks wouldn’t last more than a day. fortunately, the jungle also holds plenty of swingable vines, feastable roots & berries, and the great scarlet macaw. label boss claude vonstroke’s first record on mothership is an ode to this majestic bird.
